Same here! I try to tell the sim to do an certain action...and I have to wait...and
wait...and wait...and it freezes! I'm gonna try to upgrade my CP.

It's because you haven't met the minimum requirements for memory, ram and CPU on your
PC/Mac/Laptop
For PC's the vista platform requires more than the XP.
It's the same with mine.

It's neither related to the graphic card, nor to the RAM. It's a problem with the ini file
of the game. Anyway I already made a fix for this file that you can find here:

what do you do open it with the game?

I first got the game and i was so angry when i couldnt even play it! I spent like $100 to
get enough memory to use it on only one computer. For anyone who wants to buy this game,
CHECK FIRST THEN BUY!

Well if you live in England you may of heard of the game store it sells the sims 3 and a
lot of people have brought the game from there and it dont work so if you are having
problems tpye in Can I run it my laptop had a yes but ive got the game but my base sore 2
low on
my windows vista so im going to have wait ;( hope this helps

i am having the same problem as you guys with my the sims 3 game n this is the best
possible solution if you dont want to spend 100s of dollars on upgrading....take the sims
3 game back to the store u got it from,hope u saved your reciet, get your money back and
buy the sims 2 or buy another sims 2 expansion pack! dont waist your time trying to figure
out whats wrong and why its freezing and going slow!

What you need is:

1. at LEAST 1 gigabyte of RAM. This is VERY important. Most people have around 512 mb
which is why all of you are running into this. Thats HALF of what you need!
2. a decent videocard. This is important as well. I use a 1Gb Geforce 9800, it works
beautifully.
3. about 10 gigs of free space.
4. an OK processor. (at least 3 ghz).

the "fix" that one guy posted up only makes the graphics crap and only speeds it up a
little.

I bought the Sims 3 game and It wouldn't play because I didn't have the right graphics
card,so I went out and bought a graphics card and now it loads but I go to play and It's
so slow. I was going to turn down my graphics but I don't know how and the internet on my

sims 3 can use ram up to 2.5gb i think or nearly 3gb
you get what graphic card???what model is it???are you sure your grapich card got enough
juice to run the game??FYI,the game minimum spec is low compare to other game,so dont tell

none of these "answers" answered my question first wtf it RAM and where do i get it 2 why

the sims 3 is just a *** package overall. it's slow and laggy and glitchy as *** on
hardware that more than meets the requirements. its about the biggest bloated game ever.
and on top of all that.. its not 'new'. its a repack and downgrade of the sims2.

If you want to play the sims3.. you might want to pirate it first. find out if the pos
will run with your system/software/setup. And if it does.. consider buying it and the
expansions if you like it.

and hope the next update doesnt make the game unplayable for you.

Ok so i had the game omg it worked perfectly fine but then my brother got a virus on my
old computer so we got a new one and now its slow so theres nothing wrong with the game
guys T.T get it right or f*** off

download a game patch , i did that and it now works perfectly . Ur *** fools u should

well my game was working well, all the householdings are good expect ONE, and it started

It doesn't make you awesome. My game is slow too. Some of us just need help. If you say to
get a life, that probably means you don't have one. If your telling us to get a life, you
obviously spent your 'life' searching and typing that message.

Saying 'like' maybe annoying to you, but for the rest of the world, fools who insult
others but can't spell get on our nerves.

Every time i play the sims 3 games it becomes very slow. I have to wait and wait for my
