Press ctrl+shift+c to get to the cheats window. Then type 'testingcheatsenabled true'
(Without apostrophes.)Then, shift click on the desired sim. Click "modify traits for
active sims".
For marraige, I usually change the guys traits so he'ss a hopeless romantic. Then I go to
special, then hopeless romantic, and click propose marriage. Ta-dum!Hrn, I change him
back.

Try typing resestsim[first and last name] in the cheats window to unfreeze the sims.

when its says that your sim has expire up in the actions, that means it is dieing.
sometimes, the game will just freeze the sim and not display the grim reaper. then reset
the sim if it does that.
