Installation Problems [please help, I'm getting desparate LOL]
HI, I know that this isn't really a cheat question but it would really help if someone could help me.
I'm trying to instal The Sims: Deluxe Edition onto my Windows Vista HP G60 laptop. I haven't had it on my laptop before. I can get the autoplay up perfectly and it installs okay up until about 24% when it doesn't do anything for a while but then seems to get a kick up the *** and is great until it asks for the second disc at 95%. I put the second disc in, click "Okay" and then my computer installs all of the music files up until the "Rave" music thing when this pops up:
"Component Transfer Error"
The only option I have to click is "Okay" and when I click it the installation thingy goes away. The percentage was still at 95% at this point. I have tried to install it about five times now and each time the same thing happens. I've cleaned the discs too, in case that's a problem. It still won't work.
I would highly appreciate it if someone could help me to try and fix this problem.

because I couldn't be bothered with C:\...Maxis\The Sims - is this a problem too??? |

The sims deluxe edition problems
Ok sometimes it works usually it doesnt .One reason that it does not work for me is
itfreezes at 24 percent and i put in disc 2 then it gets to 95 percent and says component
transfer error |

3. What the hell are you referring to when you say "it does not matter if you to that"? I
didn't do anything - my computer doesn't seem to like the game.
