Thief: Deadly Shadows Cheats

If you shoot a moss arrow at the ground it creates moss so you don't
make a noise while crossing the pad. If the moss doesn't reach the whole
way across you can shoot a water arrow at it and it'll become longer.

If you drop an oil jar in front of a doorway or a narrow path so it
covers the whole way, then lure an enemy towards you so when he's
rushing you can set the oil on fire with a fire arrow. When that happens
the enemy is killed almost instantly.

If you need to take out a guard but cant get behind him, and don't want
to take him out in regular combat you can just hide in the shadows and
shoot him in the head with a broad head arrow.

If you've fought undead (like in the Abysmal Gale) you'll know it takes
at least five arrows in the chest before they die (and sometimes it
doesn't even kill them) or it'll take however many knife hits, there is
an easy way to kill them. (besides holy water) You can throw a flash
bang and that will not only blind them but take away half their life.
Another flash will finish the job or you can engage in combat, which is
now far easier for the zombie has been reduced to a regular human's life
or less.

If multiple undead or Hammer Haunts are on a floor, toss down a Holy Water into a doorway. Then, lure the undead to chase you and run across the holy water. The undead will follow, killing themselves on the Holy Water. This is a good way to conserve Holy Waters.

Puddles dry up shortly after an NPC reacts to it. Either use more
than one bottle or get a group to enter the puddle together. Holy
Water may stop one undead from passing through, but the second
can get by after puddle dries up from first undead. Aim carefully;
hitting an undead with Holy Water directly will hurt it, but having
the puddle under it will finish it off.
Water Arrows hitting an outer edge of a Moss Arrow carpet will
spread the carpet much farther. Moss Arrow at someone's mouth
will keep them busy choking long enough to slip by without attracting
attention or wasting Flash Bombs.
Save before sneaking around Hammer or Pagan sites. If you can
move around without being seen or detected, you can steal items
without getting penalized. Otherwise if you are running haphazardly,
they will know that you took it and you will lose faction status.
Do not be seen around any corpses or puddles of blood. Even if
an NPC killed the body, you will still be blamed and hunted down
for it.
The docks great place to make bodies disappear in water, although
this will kill unconscious bodies.

To disable the up-and-down bobbing motion of the camera, use Notepad to edit file "In T3PlayerAnims.ini". In the "-- NORMAL GROUND MOVEMENT --" section, change all [Forward1] through [Forward6] from "Translate=false" to "Translate=true".
