this depends on what part you are talking about because he opens 2 different gates for
you... the first one you need to talk with the man to the left of the gate and give him
what he wants, and give imhotep his item and he will move over to the gate and give him
another item and he will try to use it and it will break and you go through the next gate.
after that you meet him in thebes and you give him an item and he opens another gate and
talks about the sickle and the portal you need to go through at the temple. if he isn't
taking the item try dropping it and getting a new one... or travel everywhere else in the
area that you havn't explored and do the other quests. it would maybe be easier if you
specified what quest and what items your talking about.
