MY game gets stuck when I have to go change into my uniform. I thought it was the game so I sent it back and got a new one but it froz up again. Am I doing something wrong??

How do I change into the school uniform at the beginning of the game? I press triangle to open the closet, then scroll to the school uniform and press X to accept, but nothing happens. I'm stuck in the closet. Any advice?
