Some more socketables. Version 1.03 See above adding more of that. Version 1.04 Approaching final for the socketables section, prefix/suffix has more stuff added to them. If you want to help with the socketables the help wanted section at the top lists the missing things. Version 1.05 See above, more of that. Socketables section finished. E-Mail me at: lifeguard1234@hotmail.com I do not mind game questions, if you are reporting an error let me know I will double check my work there. If you are reporting a spelling error forget about it unless it seriously alters the meaning of the sentence. If you have a bug to report and add to this send it along but I'll need 2 reports of the same bug or to have it confirmable by myself. If you e-mail me and its got something attached its going to be deleted without hesitation. Sorry but my virus scan/firewall is set to destroy e-mail attachments. If your sending me something to contribute to this in an e-mail make sure to title your e-mail contributions or something similar, and just put whatever it is in plain text. I have it set to block out stuff without acceptable subjects (to put faq in the subject) unless its someone I know. ******************************************************************************* Table of contents ******************************************************************************* 1.00 Basic info you should know about stats 1.01 Basic info you should know about equipment 2.00 Socketable Items 3.00 Suffixes and Prefixes 3.01 Items Section Base values on Items 3.02 Suffixes 3.03 Prefixes 4.00 Thanks 5.00 Legal stuff and copyright 6.00 Game Info and Thanks For using Ctrl-F (find) these could be helpful or just use the headings *** = Chapter's ******************************************************************************* 1.00 Basic info you should know about stats Strength increases melee damage and carrying capacity. Every 4 points is equal to approximatly 1 extra melee damage. Every point adds 1 to the total limit of weight that you can carry. Intelligence increases total mana and mana regeneration. Every 2 points is equal to approximatly 1 extra mana. For every point you would gain approximatly 0.5 mana replenished every minute. Dexterity increases damage for ranged weapons and the ability to hit with all weapons. Every 4 points is equal to approximatly 1 extra bow damage. Every 2 points gives one extra armor point. Stamina increases total health and health regeneration. Every two points is equal to approximatly 1 extra health. For every point you would gain approximatly 0.5 health replenished every minute. Resistance means that you will take LESS damage from elemental attacks of that type. Fire resistance resists fire, Cold resisitance resists cold, Disease resistance resists Disease, Poison resisitance resists poison, and magic resistance resists lightning and other spells not covered above. Health is how much damage your character can take before they die or pass out on the field of combat, the higher this value the more durable your character will be. Mana is the spiritual esscense that you draw upon in order to call forth supernatural spells and abilities, the higher this value the more spells you can cast before having to replenish your mana. Armor seems to a factor in how much damage you will take each time the enemy hits you, it may also help prevent enemy blows, but I haven't ever noticed the enemy miss. ******************************************************************************* 1.01 Basic info you should know about equipment Basically they look similar to this when highlighted Weapons: Name of Weapon Damage of weapon ()() ()() Gold Weapon will sell for Weight of weapon Attack Bonus of Weapon Bonuses to Weapon Required level of Weapon Armor: Name of Armor Defense of Armor ()() ()() Gold Armor will sell for Weight of Armor Attack Bonus of Armor Bonuses to Armor Required level of Armor This having been said the ONLY thing we are intrested in, in terms of socketing equipment is the ()(). ()() I will refer to these ()()'s as slots on the peice of equipment. ()() Innevitably some of them will have a tiny green dot in them, that means that that slot if filled, EVERY equipment has 4, most equipment does not come with a lot of free slots. To socket you will need at least one slot and as many as two slots to NOT have a tiny green dot in their center. To socket the item simply goto the third section of your inventory, click the item you wish to have socketed into that equipment, click back on the weapons or armor section and then click on the specific peice of equipment that you desire to socket. Once done one or two of the empty slots will be filled in with a green dot. There is NO way to remove an item from something you socket, nor is their any cost to socket the item. ******************************************************************************* 2.00 Socketable Items Their are a LOT of different types of items that can be socketed into your equipment, some of them take MORE than just one free socket to be placed into your item. You CANNOT socket the same item into the same peice of equipment more than once. You can; however, socket that item into every peice of equipment you are wearing once. You CANNOT socket a magical item with anything. Bone Chips from Skeletons. Carapace from the Act IV Sewer Monsters, and all types of animal creatures. Fire Beetle Eye from Fire Beetles. Ghoul Flesh from Ghouls. Mummy Tounge from the Act III Temple Warriors. Venom Sacs from Ants. Poison Glands from Scorpions. Vampire Fangs from Vampires. Stones, Runes, Shards, ect. not listed above are all randomly found in chests and looted from corpses or dropped by bosses. Bloodstone Weapon: Adds stamina Bonus. Armor: Adds stamina Bonus. If your intrested in the often much less potentially powerful uniques go look at that unique guide; However, to build the best equipment it will definatly come out of magical stock. Suffixes come at the end, Prefixes come at the beginning... It does seem that their are MULTIPLE values for SOME of these, sigh just to make thing more difficult I guess :) Accessories (rings, amulets/chokers, and earrings) have no prefixes, only suffixes. ******************************************************************************* 3.01 Items Section Base values on Items Please bear in mind that this is more than anywhere else a section that is a work in progress.
