Set the claymore(s), and there is a seperate claymore detonator- You dont have to use all of them up before detonating, but claymores arent really that useful!

the way to use the claymore is to plant it where you know the enemy will show up.for
example,if you are in a firefight,u can plant it a couple meters behind u,so if the enemy
attacks from the rear,as soon as he readhes the mine it will detonate.
