Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII Review :

The Story of the Most Mysterious FF7 Charcter

by sdan12 Apr 16, 2012

Dirge of Cerberus is Role-Playing, third person shooter. It revolves around the character Vincent Valentine, who is an original character from Final Fantasy VII. In Final Fantasy VII, Vincent is an unlockable character. This game is centered around him and his past. There are many flashbacks in this game. Many explaining how he ended up sleeping in the coffin that he was found in Final Fantasy VII. You can only use gun weapons in this game. But there is a wide variety in guns to use. Some with long barrels and short barrels. Some are better for short distance and others for long distance. While fighting, you can switch up your guns by just going to the pause menu. This makes it much easier depending on how close the enemies are, how many there are, and who the biggest threat is. This game also has your other favorite Final Fantasy VII characters like Cloud, Tifa, Yuffie, Cid, and Barret. The most unfortunate part is: I have not seen Reno or Rude yet! I hope their in this game cause they're two of my most favorite video game characters of all time.

8Story line
The basic storyline is that Deepground is trying to "cleanse" the world. And you have to play as Vincent Valentine and help defeat them.
The graphics are really good. PS2 games don't always hae amazing graphics but this game has some very good grahics.
The sounds are really easy to hear. For example, if you are facing one way, you will be able to hear if an enemy approaches you from behind. That makes it alot easier to turn around and kick butt.
This game is a third person shooter where as a lot of Final Fantasy games are for sword fighting. This is the very first, 3rd person shooter that I have ever played. And I have to say that I definetly love it.
9Lasting Appeal
This is a very interesting game, diffrent from ones that I have played before. I think this game is definetly worth buying even if it is used.
(Out of 10)
