This list shows which two purple potaras need to be fused together
to unlock characters. To use go to evolution z mode and select
item fusion option, once there go to purple fusions and perform
these neccesary actions.

Baby Vegeta --> Tuffles + Artificial Bruits Waves

Bardock --> Kakarot + Hatred of Saiyans

Majin Buu(Gotenks Absorbed) --> Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks + Absorption

Okay you HAVE to do this. Go in Saiyan Saga and do Chaitzu vs. Tien and blow up the huge building with a finishing move and get the yellow ball. You will get a dragon ball if you succsefly complete the level. Do this seven times and you can earn a character, The True World Tournament z gate, or a password thing in dueling so you can use your charactars from Dragon Ball z Budokai 3

To get new characters you have to get 7 dragonballs and when shenron comes up, there will be a list of things to wish for: kid Goku, Masteroshi, General Tao, Great Ape, Great Ape(Vegeta), passwords, and The True World Tournement. You can wish either of those.

Fuse "Equipment Slots + 3" and "Dragon Power"

The way to unlock a fusion of piccolo and goku. The reason this is in the game in because the makers wanted to make up a new character.
