This is a way in which you will nearly always be able to hit an opponent with a beam from a far range. What you do is fire a few ki blasts, followed by a charge ki blast. Whenever the large ki blast is about to hit him (and he is still deflecting the others) then fire your beam. This way he will still be waving his hands trying to deflect the blasts, and won't be able to react in time to move away from the beam. This only works if the opponent deflects all of the ki blasts. If he dodges them all, then it won't work. ---------------------------- [0.1] Beam Struggle Advice ---------------------------- Now a little tip about being caught in a beam struggle. What I find the best technique for turning the anaolgue sticks is to put my hand vertically accross both of them and then rotate WITH CONTROL! By this I mean do not spin them so fast that you end up hurting yourself and the sticks simply go crazy instead of going in full circles. The game only registers FULL circles, so I would recommend spinning moderately fast, but with control, so that each rotation that I make is a full one. If you are failing a struggle and have ki, please don't use it right away! It only gives you a shrt burst, and then you will start losing again. Instead, use it when the beam struggle is almost at an end, this way it should give you the little boost you need to win. =========================================================== || [1] Guide Information {Please Read} || =========================================================== This guide was originally going to be a guide only for Vegeta Super Saiyan 2 as he is my favourite character and I have developed some useful strategies with him, but I decided "Hey, why not try out the other Vegeta's as well?" So now this guide contains all forms of Vegeta, including Baby Vegeta. I am considering on working on this guide a lot, and, if I get some good feedback, then I may upgrade it, and work on every character. But I'll have to see on that one. If you would like to see anything else added to this guide then please contact me, (contact info below). Otherwise, I hope you enjoy the guide. *********************************** *******Important Information******* *********************************** I have laid out each of the Attack Damage sections as follows: Attack: xxx - xxx BC-Combo: xxx - xxx Combo: xxx - xxx Blast: xxx - xxx C-Combo: xxx - xxx C-Blast: xxx - xxx Throw: xxx - xxx Finishing 1: xxx - xxx S-Combo: xxx - xxx Finishing 2: xxx - xxx B-Combo: xxx - xxx Super Finishing: xxx - xxx Now, let me explain what each of those mean: Attack: is your basic Square attack (punch). Combo: is the basic 5-Square sequence. C-Combo (Charged-Combo): is 4-Squares followed by a Square held in(ie. charged) D-Combo (Directional-Combo): is 4-Squares followed by a direcitonal button and Square held in (ie. charged). S-Combo (Stun-Combo): is 4-Squares followed by an X. B-Combo (Break-Combo): is 4-Squares followed by a Triangle. BC-Combo (Break Charge): is 4-Squares followed by a Triangle held in. Blast: is your basic Triangle attack (ki blast). C-Blast (Charged-Blast): is Triangle held in. Finishing 1, 2 & Super Finishing are self-explanatory. The numbers on the left represents min damage, and the attack is tested on Super Gogeta with no power ups. The numbers on the right represent max damage, and the attack is tested on Hercule with no power ups. =========================================================== || [2] Vegeta || =========================================================== ---------------------------- [2.1] Character Information ---------------------------- (CV: Ryo Horikawa, JP/ Christopher Sabat, US) An elite warrior of the Saiyan Race and the prince of the Planet Vegeta. Born as a prince of Planet Vegeta, he was blessed with a gift of fighting. While he was conquering other worlds as one of Frieza's servants, his home planet Vegeta was destroyed by Frieza. After receiving a transmission from Raditz, Vegeta learned that there were Dragonballs on Earth which could grant any wish. He proceeded to Earth, where he first met and fought against his eternal rival, Goku. While on Planet Namek, Vegeta found himself fighting on the side of Goku and his friends, in a joint effort to defeat Frieza. He was unable to withstand the power of Frieza's final form, however, as a single blast from the evil tyrant ended Vegeta's life. Having been restored to life by the Namekian dragon Porunga, Vegeta took up residence at Bulma's house, devoting his days to intense training. As time went on, he and Bulma grew closer, and ever since, he has fought alongside Goku as one of the Earth's greatest defenders. Vegeta's enormous sense of pride will not be satisfied until he has become the greatest Saiyan. No matter how far he pushes himself through training, however, it seems Goku is always one step beyond him. For this reason, Vegeta harbors complex feelings of anger and envy toward Goku. The fact that Vegeta is always second to Goku causes him considerable anguish. In order to prove himself the mightiest Saiyan once and for all, Vegeta allowed himself to be controlled by the wizard Babidi. As Majin Vegeta, he then used his new powers to challenge Goku to battle. However, at the revival of Majin Buu, he was forced to abandon the fight before its final conclusion. Following the interruption of his battle with Goku, Vegeta sacrificed his own life to save the Earth, blowing himself up in an effort to rid the world of Majin Buu. He was later returned to life through the power of the Dragonballs, and during the final battle against Kid Buu, he set aside his pride and fought united with Goku. Although he was forced to admit that Goku was the greatest Saiyan during the final battle with Kid Buu, Vegeta's desire to be the best remained unchanged, and he continued his rigorous training in the hopes of one day surpassing his rival. Intially, Vegeta possessed the cruel, killer instinct of a Saiyan warrior, but during his time on Earth, his heart gradually began to soften. Even so, his warrior's pride remains intact, making it difficult for him to express any sort of affection. Among Vegeta's favored fighting techniques are energy blasts such as the Gallic Gun. After he transform into a Super Saiyan. he adds additional moves to his arsenal, such as the Final Flash. In Dragonball GT, Vegeta changed his hairstyle and grows a mustache. He receives a tremendous shock, however, when his daughter, Bra tells him that the mustache does not suit him, and he ends up shaving it off. ---------------------------- [2.2] Stats ---------------------------- These stats are the base stats of Vegeta (ie. no evolution z items are added): Starting Health - 39,050 Starting Ki - 38,000 Health - || (2) Speed - ||| (3) Ki - || (2) Favourire Tech - || (2) Attack - ||| (3) Finishing Move - |||| (4) Defense - | (1) Super Finishing - || (2) ---------------------------- [2.3] Attack Descriptions ---------------------------- Favourite Technique 1: Explosive Wave Ball Consumption: 1 Description: Vegeta creates an explosion around himself. Comments: One of the most useful techniques in the game! Honestly! One of the primary reasons I use it is for defense. It will destroy all balls that it comes in contact with (very useful against Piccolo's Super finisher!), and most blasts as well! Although, the stronger blasts will just go right through it. Another defensive use for this is when you are trapped in a combo and can't block; simply use this and the opponent will be knocked away, allowing you to strike against them. Of course you can simply use it to deal that crucial attack and you are running low on ki. Favourite Technique 2: Full Power Ball Consumption: 3 Description: Vegeta goes into MAX POWER! mode and his stats are increased. Comments: Also a very useful technique. It's a bit costly at 3 balls, but if you improve his technique using Z items then you can get it for 2 balls! This allows for many combinations: throw opponent and then full power and finish him while he's recovering. Or you could charge up to MAX POWER! normally, use the super finishing, and activate this and do it again. Really, it lets you use your super finishing about 4 or 5 times a battle! Finishing Move 1: Galick Gun Ki Consumption: 37,000 Description: Vegeta's signature move: a large purple blast. Comments: Well, there's not much to comment on here really. Like most other blasts its good in both short and long range. Although I wouldn't recommend using it in long range as it is easily dodged/countered, unless you have a strategy (covered in the strategy section shortly). The best time to use it would be when the opponent is coming towards you, that way you can catch them off guard. It's damage is good, and the ki consumption is relevantly low, making it an all-round good move. Finishing Move 2: Full Power Energy Blast Volley Ki Consumption: 36,000 Description: 5 large homing energy balls are sent towards the opponent. Comments: Pretty much most characters have this move, and its quite a good move in some circumstances. NEVER EVER use it when both you and your opponent are on the ground as most of the balls will crash into the ground! Only use at close range, or mid range; air to ground, ground to air, or air to air. At long range they go a little bit wacky and fly everywhere BUT your opponent. Good for a quick sneaky attack, and if the opponent doesn't react quickly enough then a few balls may hit him at long range. Super Finishing Move: Super Explosive Wave Ki Consumption: 50,000 Description: Very much like Explosive Wave, on a much bigger scale. Comments: Now this is where you play a lot of strategy and where Full Power comes in useful. Simply keep a good offensive, and at the right moment use Full Power and use Super Explosive Wave. It has a large range, so even if he does try to run away, if you activate it close enough then there's no escaping, and it can't be defended againts. This deals a good amount of damage off opponents, and the ki consumption is relevantly small, given its damage. You can pull this move off a few times a match, but don't rely on it heavily, it has its downsides: it leaves u vulnerable for a few seconds after it and if the person has good reflexes it's easily escaped from. ---------------------------- [2.4] Attack Damage ---------------------------- Attack: 150 - 150 BC-Combo: 1420 - 1470 Combo: 1310 - 1350 Blast: 90 - 90 C-Combo: 1370 - 1410 C-Blast: 620 - 650 Throw: 1380 - 1480 Finishing 1: 9980 - 10500 S-Combo: 1600 - 1650 Finishing 2: 7150 - 7500 B-Combo: 1160 - 1200 Super Finishing: 18050 - 19000 ---------------------------- [2.5] Strategies ---------------------------- Even though this is an unevolved form of Vegeta, I believe that it is one of the most useful, and I'll make you believe it too. First off are his skills; what a brilliant set of skills! You couldn't ask for any better! I have already given strategies for each of the moves, but here is where I give the overall strategies on how to combine them well. At the start of a battle, it's always good to get the first attack in, so I'd recommend using Galick Gun as soon as the announcer says "Fight!". If you start off close, however, (such as the World Martial Arts Arena or Kame's Lookout) then just tap X to rush and then hit square. An alternative to this is to tap X as soon as the announcer says "Fight!" and press triangle; this way it stuns your opponent until you can get to him and start meleeing (and it saves a lot of ki). During the battle, I usually take up a number of different strategies depending on my range to the opponent. If I am far away then I usually charge up some ki, wait until my opponent makes an attack and counter it. If he blasts, then it's simple; just move to the left or right, and fire your Galick Gun, and it WILL hit him. If he rushes towards you then wait until he gets really close, and fire the Galick Gun. If he is charging up into full power mode then you have to stop him. The easiest way to do this is to fire a few ki blasts. If you want to take the offensive from afar then you can Dragon Rush to him and attack, or you can do what I prefer: The Essential Beam Strategy (See Above). Mid-range is sort of the decision zone.. you either go closer, or you go further away. For this you can apply the same strategies as for far range, with one difference: if your opponent fires a beam at you, press O to dodge it, as it is too close to simply move out of the way. Close range is not one of vegeta's best. But there's times when you just can't avoid it. So basically just use the typical 4-Square stun combo, or the charged combo. What I like to do (against human players) is to do the same combo over and over again until the know it's coming and they can dodge it; and once they get to that stage I change my combo. For Example: I would use the 4-Square stun combo over again until he always blocked it, and then I would switch to using the 4-Square Triangle method to break through his shield and drain his ki; and then I'd keep using that until he dodged out of the way. And once THIS stage comes, I do something slightly different to the regular combos. I would do a 4-Square combo, but then I'd fire the galick gun! So just mix and match to confuse your opponent. I've given you the range-strategies, but here's an overall strategy for this form of Vegeta. I try to keep my distance, but stay on the offensive using The Essential Beam Strategy (See Above); and then charge into MAX POWER! mode, get really close and use the Super Explosive Wave. By this time I would usually have 2 ki balls, so I would then use Full Power, wait until the opponent got up and then let loose the Explosion again. Then go far away, and repeat. For defensive, Vegeta is quite good because of Explosive Wave. Someone fires a beam at you, and you aren't sure you can dodge it in time, just use Explosive Wave and it will pass right through you! Also, if someone starts comboing you from behind, and you can't block it, then unleash Explosive Wave to knock them back, whilst dealing damage simultaneously. The ultimate goal is to spam Super Explosive Wave due to it's raw power, and the fact that it is so easy to get into MAX POWER! mode. =========================================================== || [3] Vegeta Super Saiyan || =========================================================== To unlock Super Saiyan Vegeta you must beat Android 18 with him in Z Battle Gate. ---------------------------- [3.1] Character Information ---------------------------- (CV: Ryo Horikawa, JP/ Christopher Sabat, US) Vegeta's Super Saiyan form. Tales of the legendary Super Saiyans of old had been passed down for a thousand years, but even among Saiyans themselves, there was much doubt that such a form ever actually existed. In truth, any Saiyan whose power level is above a certain threshold has the potential to become a Super Saiyan. Only those with a calm, still heart are able to achieve the Super Saiyan state; and even then, only by suffering an extreme sense of danger, anger, or sadness can the power actually be awakened. In Vegeta's case, the anger at his own inability to surpass Goku fueled his transformation. The energy involved in a Super Saiyan transformation causes the hair to stand on end and turn a golden color. The facial expression is sharpened, and the color of the irises turns to a bright emerald green. A Super Saiyan's power-level is fifty times greater than that of his normal state. The massive energies involved causes the emotions to become stirred, and in Vegeta's case, cause him to become even more aggressive and belligerent. The first time Vegeta appears in this form, he uses a powerful new finishing move, the Big Bang Attack, to dispose of Android 19. ---------------------------- [3.2] Stats ---------------------------- These stats are the base stats of Vegeta Super Saiyan (ie. no evolution z items are added): Starting Health - 39,875 Starting Ki - 35,000 Health - || (2) Speed - ||| (3) Ki - || (2) Favourire Tech - ||| (3) Attack - ||| (3) Finishing Move - ||||| (5) Defense - | (1) Super Finishing - ||| (2) ---------------------------- [3.3] Attack Descriptions ---------------------------- Favourite Technique 1: Explosive Wave Ball Consumption: 1 Description: Vegeta creates an explosion around himself. Favourite Technique 2: Finish Sign Ball Consumption: 1 Description: Attack is increased. Comments: Very little to say on this. It increases your attack, so if you use a lot of close combat then this is for you. As soon as you do a finisher though then the stat boost is removed. Finishing Move 1: Full Power Energy Wave Ki Consumption: 38,000 Description: A double blast. Comments: Well, just your basic blast, except vegeta uses 2 hands! Its slightly quicker and more powerful than the galick gun, but just apply the same strategic principals: Try avoiding it at long range, use it when the opponent comes towards you to surprise them. Finishing Move 2: High Speed Rush Ki Consumption: 35,000 Description: A dragon rush finisher that, once initially hit, can't be stopped. Comments: To be honest I avoid using rushes whenever I can, they're too easy to dodge! Just keep tapping O and you will dodge it 9 times out of 10! Like everything, however, it has its uses. Such as: when you throw someone, you can follow up with a rush attack; or if a person is dragon rushing towards you then counter with this, the difference is that you'll be expecting a face-off, so get ready to spin those sticks! And not only do you do damage for each hit, your rush combo continues through as well! So use it strategically and it can become one of your best moves. Super Finishing Move: Big Bang Attack Ki Consumption: 93,000 Description: A very powerful, and slightly homing, ball blast. Comments: Ah ha! Now this is where it gets interesting! This is one very powerful move, and since it is very fast, and is slightly homing then it is quite difficult to escape from. If you use it in awkward situations then it can mean the difference between life and death. I wouldn't recommend using it at a VERY long range; even though it is very fast, it isn't THAT fast. So stick with mid-long range, or close range. Be careful though, any blast can cut through this ball! And it can easily be countered with Full Power Energy Blast Volley, as one ball from that can cancel the big bang, and the rest of the balls go through to attack you!!! ---------------------------- [3.4] Attack Damage ---------------------------- Attack: 160 - 170 BC-Combo: 1480 - 1570 Combo: 1110 - 1180 Blast: 100 - 110 C-Combo: 1300 - 1380 C-Blast: 750 - 780 Throw: 1520 - 1570 Finishing 1: 10450 - 11000 S-Combo: 1830 - 1930 Finishing 2: 9030 - 9500 B-Combo: 1170 - 1240 Super Finishing: 23280 - 24500 ---------------------------- [3.5] Strategies ---------------------------- This may be an evolved form of Vegeta, but it is arguably the worst, especially due to his Skills. First off, Full Power is gone! No more spamming your super finisher! The second is the fact of the rush.. Rushes are useless!!! I cannot emphasise how much on NOT to use rushes! They're weak, and sooo sooo easy to counter and dodge! So try to avoid using rushes at all costs. I have already given strategies for each of the moves, but here is where I give the overall strategies on how to combine them well. At the start of a battle, it's always good to get the first attack in, so fire a Full Power Energy Wave, or if you start off close (such as the World Martial Arts Arena or Kame's Lookout) then just tap X to rush and then hit square. An alternative to this is to tap X as soon as the announcer says "Fight!" and press triangle; this way it stuns your opponent until you can get to him and start meleeing (and it saves a lot of ki). As usual I normally take up a number of different combat strategies depending on my range to the opponent. If I am far away then I usually charge up some ki, wait until my opponent makes an attack and counter it. If he blasts, then it's simple; just move to the left or right, and fire your Energy Wave, and it WILL hit him. If he rushes towards you then wait until he gets really close, and fire the Energy Wave. If he is charging up into full power mode then you have to stop him. The easiest way to do this is to fire a few ki blasts. If you want to take the offensive from afar then you can Dragon Rush to him and attack, or you can do what I prefer: The Essential Beam Strategy (See Above). Don't use the rush from far range as your opponent will just fire a blast at you. Mid-range is sort of the decision zone.. you either go closer, or you go further away. For this you can apply the same strategies as for far range, with one difference: if your opponent fires a beam at you, press O to dodge it, as it is too close to simply move out of the way. If you ARE going to use a rush then I'd advise using it here, after countering an opponents attack. Close range for this form of Vegeta is slightly better. Just use the typical 4-Square stun combo, or the charged combo. I would do a 4-Square combo, but then I'd fire the Energy Wave! So just mix and match to confuse your opponent. I've given you the range-strategies, but here's an overall strategy for this form of Vegeta. 3 words: Big Bang Attack. This is both a good point and a bad point for this Vegeta form. It's a good point because it is a super finishing move, and this same point makes it a bad one. As it is a super finishing move it is much stronger than the standard Big Bang Attack, but as it is a super finishing, you won't be able to use it a lot in battle. If you can get in a hit in with this, then super! but, unlike Vegeta's first form, don't depend on it too much. Where this form excels above the first form is hand-to-hand combat, so concentrate on that. Which also means that you can use Finish Sign to increase your strength, but i prefer to just save all my balls for Explosive Wave as it is much more practical. So basically just follow the close combat strategy above.. and since punching helps to build up a lot of ki you can easily get in a Big Bang Attack if you hit your opponent far enough away. So overall strategy: unmerciless attacks that don't stop coming. =========================================================== || [4] Super Vegeta Super Saiyan || =========================================================== To unlock Super Vegeta Super Saiyan you must beat Perfect Cell (Perfect Form) with him in Z Battle Gate. ---------------------------- [4.1] Character Information ---------------------------- (CV: Ryo Horikawa, JP/ Christopher Sabat, US) Vegeta's form after attaining a power level-beyond that of a Super Saiyan. This form has also been referred to as an Ascended Saiyan, or Super Saiyan Second Stage, and is not to be confused with the Super Saiyan 2 transformation. After being humiliated by Android 18, and realizing that his Super Saiyan powers did not yet make him invincible, Vegeta trained with Future Trunks inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, where he discovered this powerful transformation. When taking this form, Vegeta's muscles swell, making his body several sizes larger than normal. Otherwise, there are no exceptional changes in his physical appearance. The lightning-like aura associated with the Super Saiyan 2 transformation is not present in this form. While in this form, Vegeta's speed and power are elevated far beyond his previous Super Saiyan limits. He is also able to use a new super finishing move, the Final Flash. Incidentally, there is an even more specialized transformation beyond this second stage, called Super Saiyan Third Stage. In this stage, however, the increase in power comes at a cost of reduced speed and mobility, and the strain upon the body is intensified, thus making the transformation impractical. ---------------------------- [4.2] Stats ---------------------------- These stats are the base stats of Super Vegeta Super Saiyan (ie. no evolution z items are added): Starting Health - 41,140 Starting Ki - 33,000 Health - || (2) Speed - ||| (3) Ki - || (2) Favourire Tech - ||||| (5) Attack - |||| (4) Finishing Move - |||| (4) Defense - || (2) Super Finishing - | (1) ---------------------------- [4.3] Attack Descriptions ---------------------------- Favourite Technique 1: Explosive Wave Ball Consumption: 1 Description: Vegeta creates an explosion around himself. Favourite Technique 2: Full Power Charge Ball Consumption: 1 Description: Regains ALL ki. Comments: This is NOT to be confused with Full Power! This technique simply regains all of your ki, nothing else. Whilst this may prove useful in situations in which you need ki quickly, I try to avoid it. After all it takes up 1 precious ball AND takes time! What use is that! You can charge ki naturally at less expense! Don't really use this unless you are really stuck, at far range, and it's an emergency! Finishing Move 1: Big Bang Attack Ki Consumption: 43,000 Description: A very powerful, and slightly homing, ball blast. Finishing Move 2: High Power Rush Ki Consumption: 43,000 Description: A dragon rush finisher that, once initially hit, can't be stopped. This slightly differs from High speed rush, in the fact that it is even easier to dodge, but does a lot more damage. Super Finishing Move: Final Flash Ki Consumption: 100,000 Description: A devastatingly powerful blast. Comments: One of my favourite moves belonging to vegeta. It is SUPER powerful, it really is! And it's even better for the fact that it's a super finisher for Super Vegeta Super Saiyan! "Why?" you may ask? Well for 3 simple reasons. If you ever get caught in a beam struggle then you'll have the upper hand. And the second reason is because of Full Power; with that technique at 2 balls (with z items) then you could be Final Flashing your opponent a good few times a match... but you really don't need that many as 2 hits from this, and a few combos and they'll be dead anyway! What's the third reason? The sole fact that it IS a super finisher.. this also makes it more powerful than a standard Final Flash. ---------------------------- [4.4] Attack Damage ---------------------------- Attack: 200 - 210 BC-Combo: 2080 - 2170 Combo: 1880 - 1960 Blast: 140 - 140 C-Combo: 2280 - 2380 C-Blast: 870 - 910 Throw: 2700 - 2800 Finishing 1: 11400 - 12000 S-Combo: 2280 - 2380 Finishing 2: 11020 - 11600 B-Combo: 1520 - 1790 Super Finishing: 26130 - 27500 ---------------------------- [4.5] Strategies ---------------------------- Okay, yet again, another powered up form, only this power up actually helps. Vegeta becomes stronger, faster, and all around better. The down-sides though are his skills: he has explosive wave, which is one of my favourites, but the other technique isn't as good.. Full Power Charge... it replenishes your ki, it would normally be good, but this form relies more on physical strength. And yet again, we have yet another rush! I cannot emphasise how much on NOT to use rushes! They're weak, and sooo sooo easy to counter and dodge! However, good use of the rush of this form can deal some hefty damage to your opponent! So this form has a slightly better rush, but don't use it often. I have already given strategies for each of the moves, but here is where I give the overall strategies on how to combine them well. At the start of a battle, it's always good to get the first attack in, so fire your big bang attack, or if you start off close (such as the World Martial Arts Arena or Kame's Lookout) then just tap X to rush and then hit square. If he blasts, then it's simple; just move to the left or right, and fire your Big Bang, and it WILL hit him, even if he does dodge out of the way, the Big Bang Attack is slightly homing, so it will turn towards your opponent. If he rushes towards you then wait until he gets really close, and fire the Big Bang. If he is charging up into full power mode then you have to stop him. The easiest way to do this is to fire a few ki blasts. If you want to take the offensive from afar then you can Dragon Rush to him and attack, or you can do what I prefer: The Essential Beam Strategy (See Above). Don't use the rush from far range as your opponent will just fire a blast at you and stop you in your tracks. Close range for this form of Vegeta is his best combat. Just use the typical 4-Square stun combo, or the charged combo. I would do a 4-Square combo, but then I'd fire the Big Bang to deal some hefty damage! So just mix and match to confuse your opponent. I've given you the range-strategies, but here's an overall strategy for this form of Vegeta. And as you can see in his appearance, he means business, and his main asset is his fighting skills. It takes a lot less combo-bars to do powerful charged up attacks, so keep hitting your opponent away and fire a Big Bang Attack, then charge into him again and give him another beating. His Super Finishing move is another of Vegeta's signature moves: Final Flash.. and it is a VERY powerful attack indeed! However, due to the hefty consumption, and the fact that this form of Vegeta takes longer to charge ki, don't count on using it in battle. If you can get a chance, then great! You've dealt a lot of damage to your opponent... but I just recommend pummeling them into oblivion. =========================================================== || [5] Majin Vegeta || =========================================================== To unlock Majin Vegeta you must go to Z Item Fusion mode and combine these two items: Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta + Babidi. ---------------------------- [5.1] Character Information ---------------------------- (CV: Ryo Horikawa, JP/ Christopher Sabat, US) Vegeta, after his latest abilities have been fully unleashed by the wizard Babidi's spell. After the final battle with Cell, Vegeta continued his intensive training in the hopes of surpassing Goku and regaining his title as the mightiest Saiyan. However, as he watched Goku's battle with Yakon inside Babidi's spaceship, Vegeta was shocked to discover that he had not closed the gap between himself and Goku in the least. Vegeta concluded that this gap could be bridged if he allowed himself to be controlled by Babidi and thereby returned to the way he used to be, posessed of a cruel warrior's heart, unhindered by concern for family and friends. Thus, Vegeta submitted to Babidi's power and became Majin Vegeta. After using Babidi's spell to draw out his power, Vegeta's fierce pride enabled him to disobey the wizard's commands. Instead, he challenged Goku to a long-awaited battle. The fight was so intense, but because their powers were so evenly matched, the battle eventually ended in a draw. Unfortunately, the massive amounts of energy released had already succeeded in reviving the monster Majin Buu. In order to defeat Majin Buu, who had been revived because of his own selfishness, Vegeta bid farewell to his family and friends and blew himself up in a massive flash of energy. Unfortunately, Buu was not completely destroyed by the blast, and Vegeta's noble sacrifice was in vain. As Majin Vegeta, there are no significant changes to his key techniques. But since his powers have been boosted to their maximum levels, the force of his attacks are increased substantially. In this form, Vegeta's strength may be equivalent to that of a Super Saiyan 2. One indication of this is the lightning-like aura surrounding his body, a key characteristic of the Super Saiyan 2 transformation. ---------------------------- [5.2] Stats ---------------------------- These stats are the base stats of Majin Vegeta (ie. no evolution z items are added): Starting Health - 64,050 Starting Ki - 30,000 Health - ||||| (5) Speed - ||| (3) Ki - | (5) Favourire Tech - |||| (4) Attack - ||| (3) Finishing Move - ||||| (5) Defense - | (1) Super Finishing - ||||||| (7) ---------------------------- [5.3] Attack Descriptions ---------------------------- Favourite Technique 1: Explosive Wave Ball Consumption: 1 Description: Vegeta creates an explosion around himself. Favourite Technique 2: Hi-Tension Ball Consumption: 1 Description: Recovers some ki and increases attack. Comments: Quite a useful technique actually. You can really annoy your opponent by fully charging up, the firing a Big Bang Attack, use this, fire again, use Hi-Tension again, fire again... well you get the picture. Do this successfully and you can take off half their health easily. Also quite convenient if you are a close combat type person as it increases strength; so you can kick some ass, knock them away and blast them with something. Once you use a blast, however, then the strength boost instantly dissappears. Finishing Move 1: Big Bang Attack Ki Consumption: 44,000 Description: A very powerful, and slightly homing, ball blast. Finishing Move 2: Final Flash Ki Consumption: 95,000 Description: A devastatingly powerful blast. Comments: One of my favourite moves belonging to vegeta. It is SUPER powerful, it really is! Not being a Super Finisher, however, has both its advantages and disadvantages. Disadvantage is that it is not as powerful and you don't have an upper hand in a beam struggle. The advantage is that it is a regular blast, thus meaning you can possibly pull it off more times in battle. Just apply the same strategic principals of all blasts: Try avoiding it at long range, use it when the opponent comes towards you to surprise them. Super Finishing Move: Final Explosion Ki Consumption: 0 Description: An immensely powerful attack that also destroys you. Comments: Now this attack is where strategy play a huge part! This attack will take off at least half of most characters' health, but as a consequence it also leaves you with next to no health, no ki, and stunned. So only use this when you are at the stage that one hit is going to kill you anyway, or if the opponent is at very short range and has less than half HP; better safe that sorry, so I usually wait until under 1/3 HP. If you are a risk taker, and a good strategist then you could try pulling this off twice... along with a few combos at the start of a match 2 of these bad boys should be enough to kill almost any opponent. ---------------------------- [5.4] Attack Damage ---------------------------- Attack: 220 - 230 BC-Combo: 2010 - 2090 Combo: 1890 - 1970 Blast: 120 - 120 C-Combo: 2070 - 2150 C-Blast: 750 - 780 Throw: 2190 - 2350 Finishing 1: 11880 - 12500 S-Combo: 2290 - 2390 Finishing 2: 17580 - 18500 B-Combo: 1690 - 1760 Super Finishing: 32000 - 32000 ---------------------------- [5.5] Strategies ---------------------------- *********************************** ************Coming Soon************ *********************************** =========================================================== || [6] Vegeta Super Saiyan Form 2 || =========================================================== To unlock Vegeta Super Saiyan Form 2 you must survive against Kid Buu with him in Z Battle Gate. ---------------------------- [6.1] Character Information ---------------------------- (CV: Ryo Horikawa, JP/ Christopher Sabat, US) Vegeta's appearance after achieving the Super Saiyan 2 transformation. Having achieved the ability to transform into a Super Saiyan, it is possible to reach this higher form through further training and battle experience, or through a burst of extreme anger. During the Super Saiyan 2 transformation, in addition to the increase length of the hair and sharpening of the features, the air around the body surges with a lightning-like aura. Those who achieve this form all share a similiar increase in power over the first Super Saiyan state, but changes in personality can vary widely, depending on the factors leading to the transformation. In Vegeta's case, the ability to take this form was earned through many years of intense training. We first see Vegeta undergo this transformation as he |
