To master a character, you should have to use that character to complete any set stage in the "sphere mode" and MUST GET FIRST PLACE IN ALL STAGES in that set stage (recommand play the set stage which only has 3 stages).
Once you success, a master logo (gold star) will appear when you choose that mastered character. A master character allow you to change his/her occupation.
