i know u have to go to the wartock camp around ravenshold and kill the wartock leader,he drops the amethyst and a very nice axe

Not true!! In the northern tundra go to the guy that has the gold sword, beside him is a guy leaning against a barrel of some sort. Talk to him he will tell you about the ice monsters coming out and grabbing his friend. He will give you the exact location of the Ice Caves, where the Visionary Amethyst is!

You talk to the dude but bewere because the monster you have to beat is an yetty
(abomitable snowman) he is very hard so you should get the "time slow" spell to help win
it!!

I just used the arrows and the healing spell to be the abomitable snowman.
But I didn't find the Visionary Amethyst.
Are you all sure it's in the ice-caves?
