This FAQ is for all you Ma Chao fans out there. I will be explaining his weapons
and attacks, give strategies for all the battles he is in, and tell how to get
his unique weapons. There should be more later when I do an update.

---About Ma Chao---
The oldest son of Ma Teng. After Cao Cao killed his father, he and his friend
Pang De attacked Cao Cao and almost killed him but Xu Zhu rescued Cao Cao. Pang
De joined Cao Cao and Ma Chao joined another ruler. Ma Chao attacked Liu Bei and
fought against Zhang Fei and they were both impressed by each other's strength
and courage. Zhuge Liang was able to get Ma Chao to join them. Ma Chao became a
famous hero under Liu Bei and one of the prestigious Five Tiger Generals.
---Weapons---
-Ma Chao's Attacks:[Misc Attacks]
Running Attack: Charges forward spinning his spear in front of him.
Jump Attack: Does a sweeping attack while in the air.
Musou Attack: Spins his spear from side to side, when your musou bar runs out,
he launches himself up upon his spear, then pulls it up and does a 180 degree
slice across any enemies in front of you. It is pretty hard to control when he
uses his true musou.
T: Does a full 360 degree spin on any nearby enemies.
ST: Basic attack that knocks your enemies into the air.
SST: Spins his spear a little and slams his spear on the enemy, stunning them.
SSST: A strike which knocks your enemy outward.
SSSST: An attack that knocks your enemy in the air.
SSSSTT: Knocks your enemy into the air, he then jumps into the air striking his
enemy once.
SSSSST: A 360 degree slash, knocking all nearby enemies away.
-Ma Chao's Weapons: All basic 1st-3rd weapons can have varying attributes given
to them, but each weapon has a set amount of attack, and amount of hits.

-How to on Ma Chao's unique 4th weapon.
Stage: Tong Gate (Allied Forces) on hard.
Type: Supply Team (starts by the northern bridge, moves Northeast).
Requirements: Playing as Ma Chao charge Cao Cao as soon as you get the chance.
When you get near Cao Cao there will be a cut scene after which he travels West
across the top of the map. Ma Chao will tell Han Sui and some other officers to
help against Cao Cao so they will travel North from the camp across the bridge
to face him. Fight by Han Sui and defeat as many officers and soldiers as
possible until Cao Cao himself arrives. Cao Cao will meet with Han Sui causing
his moral to drop (this happens when Cao Cao gets close to Han Sui). Continue
fighting until you see the "the allied forces are reeling from reports of Han
Sui's betrayal" message. After this message appears Han Sui will betray to Cao
Cao's side. Moments after his betrayal a supply team will arrive just South of
the Northernmost bridge. Kill the supply captain and then finish off Cao Cao.
Another way to do this is in my musou mode strategy for Tong Gate but make sure
its still on hard mode.
Yea I know it's a pain to get but its even more of a pain to see the stats. That
is if you don't like horses.
-How to on Ma Chao's unique 5th weapon.
Stage: Cheng Du on very hard
Location: All the way to the left side of Liu Zhang's starting position.
Requirments: Before Pang Tong is killed, defeat Liu Han, Precious Item Report.
Pretty easy huh? At least its better then the 4th weapon.
---Musou mode walkthrough---
_-Chan Ban- This is a rather easy level even for beginners. Start by defeating
Zhang Liao and then Xiahou Dun. After you are done with that get rid of the two
gate captains. That way after Cao Cao comes he wont break through Zhuge Liang as
easily. When you are done with the gate captains take the northwest route and
defeat Xu Huang/Dian Wei and their two sub officers if you want to. The next Guy
up is Zhang He. He has one sub officer but he is pretty far down so if you are
in a hurry forget about him and take care of Zhang He. After your done with that
Cao Cao should already be there. Cao Hong will come as reinforcements by Xu Zhu
and most likely take out one of your gate captains with ease and Cao Cao will
come at where you started with two sub officers. So now you head over to Xiahou
Yuan. His sun officer Xiahou En is rather easy to take out and he is close by
Xiahou Yuan so take him out and grab the weapon box he drops. Then take care of
Xiahou Yuan. If there is a spare horse around somewhere get on it. It helps
because a short FMV with Ma Chao will happen, getting Liu Bei's morale up one
star, and it will make it quick to go to Xu Zhu. By time you get to Xu Zhu Zhao
Yun and Zhang Fei might of taken care of Cao Hong but if they didn't you've got
Cao Hong and Li Dian as officers to defeat. Beat them and then take out Xu Zhu
and the two gate captains. After you do that head north towards Cao Cao and
defeat his two sub officers and you should have Cao Cao cornered. Defeat him and
you've won this level.
_-Chi Bi- Start this level by killing the Gate Captain nearest to the Place of
Prayer. Then head north toward Xiahou Yuan and defeat him. Take out the gate
captain behind him, and head east towards Li Dian and Cao Pi. Move back north
and take out the gate captain in the northwest corner, then cross over the ship
its next to for the Dim Sum, then waste the gate captain on the other side of
the ship. Head further east for the gate captains and then move south toward Xu
Huang if you want to go out of your way. If you want to get out of your way even
more move south and near Taishi Ci's starting position and there will be the
musou up. Move back north then take out Xu Zhu and Zhang Liao, then Cao Cao.
_- Mountain Bandit Campaign- A very easy level. Start off this level by killing
the gate captain on the far north area. Then take out each Lt. Commander until
they are all dead. Then the commander will come. I suggest you go looking for
items but if you don't want to waste your time just defeat him.
_- Tong Gate- This is what I suggest you do. Start out by killing Cao Ren and
Cao Hong and disposing of the two gate captains. Xu Huang should come from the
north with reinforcements. After he does kill Xiahou Yuan and slowly walk
towards Cao Cao being sure not to attack him. Go as close as you can without his
men attacking you. If you did this right he shall talk with Han Sui. If you want
Han Sui to defect then do what I am about to say and if you don't well then kill
Cao Cao. After you see the FMV do whatever you want making sure not to attack
Cao Cao as that will draw him away from Han Sui making the defection not work.
After a while Han Sui should defect. After he does well then dispose of every
officer if you want to and defeat Cao Cao.
_- Yi Ling- Well this is what I think you should do. Start out by killing Lu
Meng and killing as many men as you can near Liu Bei until Zhu Ran comes
preparing the fire attack. Dispose of him and you will prevent everyone's morale
from dropping one but Liu Bei will no longer retreat making him more open for
attack. After you do that defeat Sun Shang Xiang and head towards Gan Ning/Zhou
Yu. Defeat them and make your way up to Sun Quan. Lu Xun and tons of archers
will be blocking your path. Defeat them and kill Sun Quan and the level will be
yours.
_- Nanman Campaign- Oh here we go... The level I hate the most. Not only do you
fight Meng Huo tons of times, but you have to take a peak up his man skirt when
you defeat him two times! Well here is my strategy for this horrible level.
Start out by defeating Meng Huo the first time and then head towards Zhang Fei
for that is where Meng Huo will appear for the second time. Defeat Meng Huo and
then get ride of Wu Tugu and Dong Tu Ne. After you do that head over to King
Mulu's area, kill Ahui Nan (his sub general) and the gate captain, if he is
still there. Move south and Meng Huo should appear, kill him then run down and
kill King Mulu and the gate captain near him. Then head north near to where you
started and take out Meng Huo. Move south and kill Dailai, take his elephant,
and move south to where Meng Huo appeared for the fifth time. Run into the wall
where he is and it should break. Kill him and the gate captain, and get the Dim
Sum in that area. A cut scene will occur where Zhu Rong gets angry. Run back up
to your starting position and Meng Huo should appear again. Defeat him, then
move south for Yong Kai. Meng Huo should appear in the southwest corner, and
this will have Zhuge Liang's full scale attack. Kill anyone in the middle, Meng
You, the gate captain behind him, then head for Zhu Rong. Defeat her, then Meng
Jie, then the gate captain behind Meng Huo, and then Meng Huo. After you do that
the level is yours.
_- Wu Zhang Plains- This is one of my favorite levels. Start by killing Cao Ren
and then head down towards Xu Huang and Zhen Ji. Defeat them and head north to
Xu Zhu and Cao Hong. After you are done with them head towards Sima Zhao. Defeat
him and your troops morale might rise for you have stopped the catapult attack.
After you so that run near Sima Yi's HQ's entrance and a short FMV will appear
of you taunting him. It will bring his morale down one star. When this is done
wait for Cao Xiu and Man Chong to come as reinforcements. When they do, defeat
Deng Ai and Man Chong. After that head down to Sun Li. Defeat him as well as Cao
Xiu and Zhuge Liang/Liu Bei will have all of his troops do a full out attack.
Everyone's morale will rise one star. After that take out Zhang Liao and Sima
Yi/Cao Cao and the battle will be yours.

---Questions---
Q: Why does Ma Chao have such crappy stats on his fourth weapon like mounted
defense?
A: Well it's not crappy if you like to ride a horse. Which im pretty much the
only one that does but in history Ma Chao excelled when he was on a horse so
koei pretty much went with history on that one.
Q: Does Ma Chao have the best looking armor in the game?
A: Yes, yes he does. Its even better if you use his second.
Q: I'm stuck here... Should I use Ma Chao's 5th or 4th weapon?
A: I suggest you use his 5th. Not only does it look better, it does get his
musou up which the 4th doesnt. If you like using horses then stick with the 4th
but if you don't use his 5th.
