How do you get the last purple star? It's asleep in a monkey cage on the bottom level. There's a monkey inside with a switch. How do I get the monkey to step on it?

how to get the last purple star in Esc-Ape

walk away from the gate and aim the banana launcher by holding down the trigger till it reaches max and then shoot the banana. the monkey will follow where the banana lands and if done right the monkey will step on the switch and activiate the gate to open.
