Final Fantasy X Cheats

When u have full control of the airship and the only thing left to finish the games is defeat Jecht en Yu Yevon u can get al the secret aeons and defeat those darn hard to kill Dark Aeons. All the Dark Aeons should be easy to kill with Yojimbo's 'Zanmato' except for Dark Yojimbo. When encountering Dark Yojimbo in the Cavern of the stolen Faith u'll probably kill him the first time but u have to kill him 4 times. After the first kill run up to the tunnel to encounter him the 2nd time. Now here's the problem: Yojimbo's overdrive is empty after that last battle. When u want to perform another Zanmato u'll have to give over 200000 gil to get it(sometimes he only uses wakisashi then :( )
if u succeed the 2nd battle make ur way out of the cave and u'll encounter him a third en forth time. The trick is to have alot of gil or either have auto-life or auto-phoenix on ur shield. I'm still busy trying to defeat him by collecting loads of gil in Omega Ruins. I hope this helps to get that Penance (aeon received after defeating all dark aeons)

To get the Caladbolg, you need to have the celestial mirror. Once you have it, go race with the chocobo trainer in the Calm Lands. If you win the race, the person blocking the path in the north part of the Calm Lands will be gone. Then you can use the celstial mirror to get the Caladbolg

1. Obtained automatically after defeating the Spherimorph.

4. Luca Stadium in Basement A of Auroch's locker room.
5. Mi'hen highroad, southern most part.
6. Mushroom rock road, near the elevator.

10. Entrance/path to Thunder Plains; where two men tell you to see Seymour.

To acquire Auron&;s ultimate weapon, Masamune, you must acquire the Rusty Sword, found on the eastern cliff of the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth in the Calm Lands. Take the Rusty Sword to the statue of Lord Mi& then on Mushroom Rock road. Clasko previously prevented access to this area. Place the Rusty Sword before the statute reveal a glyph. Touch the glyph to reveal the Masamune&;s secret location.

There are total 9 Cactuar that can be found all around the world. The location of the Cactuar are:

Oasis

Near the first Save point

Sanubia Desert (East)

In the alcove to the east, north of the tent with the save point

Search the sign near the Cactuar rock that says

Near the ruins to the west, look for two Cactuars running around the desert.

Sanubia Desert (East)

Near the save point under the tent.

Sanubia Desert (West)

Trapped in the treasure chest in the far west.

Sanubia Desert (Central)

Inside one of the sand whirlpools. You must exit and re-enter the area.

Oasis

Teleport back to the airship and go on the outside deck.

Return to the Cactuar statue and the last one automatically appears behind you

Secret Farplane Scene
After you get the Airship go back to Guadosalam. Follow Tromell up to the Farplane. Talk with Lulu to view the secret scene.

Unlockable: Get Yojimbo
Go to the cavern of the stolen faith and you will encounter a dead summoner who calls Yojimbo. Beat him and continue on to the teleport pad. Choose to travel to the chamber of Fyth and Yojimbo will ask you why you seek his services. You must answer, "To defeat the most powerful of enemies."
Yojimbo will then ask 250,000 gil for his services. Offer him half of that amount but add one gil more. So if he asks 250,000 offer 125,001 instead. Then do the same until he asks 205,000. When he asks 205,000 offer 200,000 and he will most likely accept the offer. You can offer the full 205,000 gil to hire him for sure, but if you don't mind losing an extra 5,000 gil.
Unlockable: Magus Sisters
Capture all the required fiends on Mt. Gagazet then return to the monster arena owner in the Calm Lands. As a reward, the arena owner gives you the BLOSSOM CROWN. You must also possess all of the other aeons, including Yojimbo and Anima.
Next, go to Remiem Temple in the Calm Lands. After you defeat Spathi, Belgemine will give you the FLOWER SCEPTER. After defeating all the aeons at Remeim Temple, use the Blossom Crown and Flower Scepter on the door in the back to unseal it and acquire the Magus Sisters.

Airship Passwords
You can also input passwords to uncover secret locations. These passwords are hidden throughout the game in Al Bhed -- but if you can't read it, here they are (note that they have to be entered in all caps):


GODHAND -- Let's you go to lower Mushroom Rock Road where you will find Rikku's legendary weapon.
VICTORIOUS -- Enter this to access a secret area in the ruins of Besaid. Climb the tree to get your hands on Rikku's powerful Victorious armor.
MURASAME -- Another secret area in the ruins of Besaid. You will find Auron's Murasame (ability: One MP Cost) here.

After you get through the lightning path, you get to the blue, crystal-like area(sorry, don't know what it's called).Eventually, you will run into Otaka. Only buy one or two items from him and than stop. He will ask you about the pricing. Say it's too high. He will come down a bunch and than you can buy all his items for cheaper prices.

When you first encounter Dark yojimbo.....
You have to kill him 5 times in a row to completely kill him.
If you can kill him easy... do the following
Kill him 4 times then save game then reset the Ps
By doing this you can get items with ribbon easy for all your characters
Just repeat process over and over
Basically you can kill him unlimited times and also get insanely good items and cash

OK, so, this really is only for later on the game, once you have gotten Yojimbo. Jojimbo can do a move called Zanmato that automatically kills all enemies you are fighting against. However, it usually costs a lot of money (around 10,000 gil works for me) and on the occasion doesn't work if you don't use the Aeon a lot. Try to find the amount of gil that he uses the move most on and practice. This move is extremely good whith every boss including the last one where you can use it more than once, consecutively. Also use Zanmato on the Dark Aeons, it took me ages to figure out that I should Yojimbo.

When bribing a monster it sometimes misses.Then you have to bribe again and waste money.Well, if it misses, you can bribe them again for 0.This will actually count as bribing again.This is a good way of saving money bribing without having to reset, especially if the monster takes over 1,000,000 gil to bribe.

During a blitzball game, go to one of the corners on the right side of the arena, also referred to as the easy win bug. While there, put the two players that you want to gain experience side by side, and have them pass the ball repeatedly to each other. Each pass gives you 1 EXP, and if there's at least two minutes on the clock, you can accumulate up to 30 EXP.

Whenever you are playing Blitzball, and currently are winning (i.e. your score is higher than the other team's) just swim behind your own goalie. Stay there and everyone else on the field will go to the other side and swim in circles. Sometimes, a member of the opposite team will follow you. Just shake him loose (breaking through him is an easy way) and he too will just leave you alone. Stay there for the remainder of the game and you will win.

When you find Yojimbo, wait for him to make his offer. After he makes the offer, which I believe is 300,000 gil, offer him half of what he wants plus 1 gil. He will then lower his asking price. Increase your offer by 1 gil, which will force him to lower it again. This time, he will not take any amount much lower, so offer him about 5-10,000 gil less than what he wants, generally around 190,000, and he should take it.
If not, repeat the process and simply offer a little more than your previous offer.

If you offer him TRIPLE what he wants at any time, you not only gain Yojimbo, but he gives you 2 Teleport Spheres as well.

When you fight Evrae Atlana underwater in Bevelle, simply use some Phoenix Downs on her and she should die quickly. If you don't have any Phoenix Downs, X-Potions and Elixers work wonders against her as well.

Yojimbo-To gain this aeon you must atleast have 216,001 gil or more. 
After you beat Defender X go down the valley that he came from. 
You will see cave proceed inside until you find a dead summoner. 
She will call Yojimbo so summon Bahummut he will make quick work of
Yojimbo.  Then get on the teleport pad and go inside the chamber
of faith then the faith Yojimbo will ask you what you seek. say
"To destroy the most powerful of enemies." he respond
"If you want my strength you must pay the price."  Make
your starting offer as 205,000.  Then make an offer of 216,000. 
After that make an offer of 216,001.  He will accept you offer
and now you have the aeon Yojimbo.

Magus sisters-To get the Magus sisters you must first have all of the
aeons including Yojimbo and Anima.  First go to the Remium Temple
and defeat Belgimes Bahummut she will give you the flower scepter. 
Then capture all of the feinds on munt. Gagazet.  After that
return to the monster arena owner in the calm lands and he will give
you the blossom crown.  Go back to the remium temple and use the blossom
crown and the flower scepter to open the sealed door now you have
these extremely powerful aeons when they get there overdrive they do
500,000 damage.

There are total 26 Al Bhed Primer. This book contain a complete alphabetical words in Al Bhed translate into an alphabetical words. So if you can complete all 26 Al Bhed Primer you can understand what the Al Bhed tribe said to you. The Al Bhed word is highlight in red instead of blue.

Have Tidus learn the ability flee as soon as possible. This is will allow your group to run from monsters when you're trying cross a road or path. This will allow you to completely skip over parts like this.

*Note* You do not get items or AP by doing this. You also cannot run from boss battles.

When you go through the Lightning Plains and have talked about Yuna getting married, you will stop under a lightning pillar. After your done talking, go around to the other end of the pillar and you'll find a treasure chest. Woohoo!

Use Provoke on him. As long as you don't switch out the character who used Provoke (this includes by summoning), Defender X will only attack them and no one else, and only with Blast Punch, which cannot kill you, making it impossible to lose.
