INTRODUCTION =============================================================================== Hello, my name is hardcore rpg gamer AKA Shane Burk. This guide covers all aspects of any and all enemies that players will come across in the land of Spira while playing Final Fantasy X-2. Want to know something about a particular monster? Look no further, the answer is in these pages. =============================================================================== EEE. COMPLETE ENEMY LIST =============================================================================== Below you will see lists of every enemy in the game. The first two lists, the Oversoul Subjects and Common Subjects appear exactly as they are on Shinra's Bestiary list, so seeing what monsters you're missing should be a breeze. The third list is a list of all other enemies not listed in Shinra's Bestiary, including bosses. If you want to go straight to a particular enemy, use CTRL+F to open a Find window and type in the enemy's name. HOW TO OVERSOUL MONSTERS =============================================================================== Throughout the course of the game, you may notice a monster oversoul. This occurs when you kill a certain amount of monsters of the same type (like Helms or Lupines). Once you do, the next monster of that type will oversoul. Also, please keep in mind that monsters that are bribed do NOT count towards an oversoul. If you use CONGRATS! to bribe a monster, however, it WILL count towards an oversoul. If you kill or bribe an oversouled monster, the counter will reset and you will have to kill the required number of that particular monster class to oversoul them again. If you run away from an oversouled monster, the counter will not reset, and any monster of that class will still oversoul if you encounter it. If you are playing a New Game+, all oversoul counters are transferred from one game to another. There is also one other way to oversoul monsters. A revenent-class monster called Phantom has an ability called "Oversoul Fever", which instantly causes a monster that can oversoul to oversoul. As of now, the only monster I know that can oversoul this way is Gug. Still looking into this, as I know that there are other monsters that can oversoul this way. Here's how to read this part of the guide: Monster Class: ## The class of the monster and the number of monsters that must be killed to cause an oversoul in that monster class. For example, the Helm class. After killing 14 Helms, the 15th one will oversoul. Listed below that are the monsters that belong to that class. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Helm Class: 14 Lupine Class: 22 Bird Class: 12 Sallet Coyote Divebeak Bicocette Wild Wolf Peregrine Barbuta Killer Hound Aquila Armet White Fang Bascinet Canis Major Heavy Sallet Lupus Tindalos ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cephalopod Class: 8 Reptile Class: 18 Wasp Class: 18 Tentacles Gecko Death Dauber Agama Assassin Bee Skink Aculeate Anole Vespa Archaeothyris Wasp Queen Lacerta ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flan Class: 20 Plant Class: 12 Sahagin Class: 12 Flan Azul Purpurea Sahagin Flan Amarillo Leucophylla Sahagin Prince Flan Palido Cephalotus Sahagin Chief Flan Blanco Flan Rojo Flan Azabache ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ruminant Class: 12 Evil Eye Class: 10 Elemental Class: 16 Nashorn Ahriman Yellow Elemental Quadricorn Fly Eye White Elemental Balivarha Vertigo Red Elemental Grim Gaze Gold Elemental Blue Elemental Dark Elemental Black Elemental ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Blade Class: 14 Chimera Class: 12 Ogre Class: 8 Takouba Protochimera Hrimthurs Barong Rhyos Gigas King Takouba Gug ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Roc Class: 8 Drake Class: 18 Basilisk Class: 10 Shantak Lesser Drake Kukulcan Zu Spine Drake Gucumatz Rukh Bolt Drake Chac Greater Drake Elder Drake ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fungus Class: 12 Haizhe Class: 14 Worm Class: 24 Bully Cap Haizhe Sand Worm Mycotoxin Deep Haizhe Earth Worm Mushroom Cloud Big Bully Cap ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dinofish Class: 16 Gel Class: 22 Behemoth Class: 20 Xiphactinus Amorphous Gel Behemoth Dinictus Protean Gel Humbaba ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dragon Class: 6 Ochu Class: 12 Coeurl Class: 14 Flame Dragon Ochu Coeurl Zalamander Drowsy Ochu Queen Coeurl Claret Dragon Flailing Ochu ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Armor Class: 18 Malboro Class: 24 Bomb Class: 14 Stalwart Malboro Bomb Ironside Great Malboro Detonator Volcano ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Iron Giant Class: 10 Arachnid Class: 8 Defender Class: 14 Iron Giant Boris YSLS-Zero Gemini Arachnid YSLS-99 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hermit Class: 7 Geo Class: 4 Spirit Beast Class: 6 Shell Shocker Georapella Percepts Guard Concherer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eater Class: 6 Adamant Class: 9 Weapon Class: 10 Chocobo Eater Adamantoise Ultima Weapon Anything Eater Adamantortoise Omega Weapon Paragon ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sacred Beast Class: 10 Tonberry Class: 16 Vermin Class: 12 Guardian Beast Tonberry Creeper Azi Dahaka Mega Tonberry Hug Bug Hexapod King VERMIN! HOW TO READ THIS GUIDE =============================================================================== Most of this guide is self-explanatory, but just to answer any questions that may arise about reading this guide, I will cover an example here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Enemy's Name (Type of enemy, if applicable) HP: The amount of HP the enemy has. MP: The amount of MP the enemy has. EXP: The amount of Experience the enemy gives out. Gil: The amount of gil the enemy drops. You will see "Normal" or "Oversouled" to distinguish between a monster in its normal and oversouled states, if a monster can be oversouled. To the right of HP, MP, EXP, and Gil will be the enemy's scan info. Gil (Steal): AVERAGE amount of gil you can steal from enemy. Gil (Won): AVERAGE amount of gil you get from enemy by using CONGRATS! Common Drop: Item(s) enemy usually drops. Rare Drop: Item(s) enemy rarely drops. Common Steal: Item(s) that can be stolen from enemy. Rare Steal: Item(s) that can rarely be stolen from enemy. Common Bribe: Item(s) that enemy gives when bribed. Rare Bribe: Item(s) that enemy rarely gives when bribed. Note on Bribe: To bribe a monster, you need to give it a minimum amount of gil equal to at least 4 times its HP, but if that fails, you will need to give it more gil. It's cumulative, so if it doesn't work right away, give it a little more gil. You will not always get the same number of items as listed in this guide, as they will vary, but you should get around that amount. If the monster can be oversouled, another column will appear next to it showing what you can get from the oversouled versions of monsters. Attacks The attacks the monster has at its disposal and what they do. Attack is lost when a monster oversouls **Attack Name** Attack is gained when monster oversouls Elemental Attributes Elements that the enemy is weak against, halves, is immune to, or absorbs. Most enemies retain the same elemental attributes when oversouled. Status Immunities: What status effects the enemy is immune to. Most enemy's have the exact same immunities when oversouled, with some added immunities. [status] Status immunity is gained when enemy is oversouled. Status immunity is lost when enemy is oversouled. Found in: Where the enemy can be encountered and in what chapter(s). To the right of "chapter" you may see -Boss-, meaning that enemy is a boss, -Fixed-, meaning that you can see the enemy onscreen, or that you must trigger the battle yourself, -Youth League- or -New Yevon-, meaning that you won't fight this enemy unless you gave the Awesome Sphere to the respective group in Chapter 2. =============================================================================== HHH.
