Can someone please tell me what should I do with Astral. I know how to operate with her but what is her purpose, I'm stuck. I'm only going from her to him and that is it, can't really figure it out. Thank you very much!!!

Ok my question is first off where are you supposed to do this? Meaning at the main menu or during gameplay? Second for how long are you supposed to hold Triangle, Circle, Square, X, and Select?
