Walkthrough - Entering the pandora's temple

There is a path aside the man entrance of the temple. at the end of this path you'll find
a enormous rock with a handle at its bottom. Press R2 to move it towards you until it does
not move more. Climb to the top of the rock where a dead warrior will talk to you and will
send two birds to open the doors. You'll have to fight 3 beasts before entering the
temple.

I have the same problem as filowarriors911. When I get to the top of the rock, no man or cut scene appears, hence the gate doesn't open. What have I done wrong?
