INTRODUTION

This is a Rumors FAQ. All of these are _major_ rumors that have been
circulating around message boards for some time. I will only add rumors
if I feel it is nessesary. This FAQ hopefully will stop all of the
rumors on the message boards. Also don't try making up rumors.

I made a new rule for everyone. I WILL accept E-Mails for this game
under two conditions: 1. Be polite 2. Have GTA3 (for questions about the
game) or GTA3 Rumors FAQ (for the rumors) in your subject. Otherwise
than that don't send me anything else. Spam and anything else is not
accepted and you WILL BE BLOCKED from my E-Mail. You have been warned.

back. If you asked me a question then you will receive a reply. If you
want to contribute something, look for it in the next update. If I think

2. WHY A RUMORS FAQ?

I wrote this to hopefully clean up all the messes at the message boards.
There has been alot of rumors lately. This FAQ has true and false rumors
which I will list. Some are unbelievable while others might be convincing
and others are actually real. I hope you like the FAQ!

3. RUMORS
----------==========----------==========-----------===========-----------
These are all rumors circulating around boards. Hopefully this will clear
everything up. Also please E-Mail me saying that the rumors should have
went like so and so.

3.1 THE MM (MAIBATSU MONSTROSITY):
This is believed to be a secret vehicle by some.The way I heard how
to get it (from a message board) is to deliver a 1000 cars to the car
crusher then it will come off the conveyor belt. I tried this (I
don't know why) and was unsuccesful. I knew it was a rumor but I just
wanted to prove it. The Maibatsu Monstrosity was mentioned in the
game manual on page 19. It was also mentioned on some radio stations
which led people to believe that it existed. The game manufacturers
might have added it on radio stations and on the game manual because
of America's new love, The SUV! Minivans are gone. . .(I will have
more detail on this in later versions)

The Maibatsu Monstrosity name does not exist inside the game, but the
car featured in the page 19 advertisement does. It is the Landstalk-
er. For some reason, they took the car and called it the Landstalker,
not the Maibatsu Monstrosity, so maybe they had the name changed be-
fore the game was released?

3.2 DARKEL
This character is believed to be replaced by rampages. This is indeed
correct but people beg to differ. Some belive he was taken out
because of 9/11. But Rock* said they took it out before then. The
thing taken out (or replaced) was the police cars. They used to be
blue and white to resemble N.Y.C. but were replaced by white and
black. R* forgot to take the blue and white cops cars out of the
opening movie (Not the one where you start a new game).Even though
Rock* said that they took out Darkel before 9/11 people still believe
he was taken out because of 9/11. Darkel was a boss who gave out
terrorist missions (which is why people believe he was taken out) but
was replaced by rampages. People still believe he exists even though
there is proof that he isn't. (I will have more detail on this in
later versions)

When the game first came out he was supposed to give you like getting
an icecream truck, getting people around it, and killing as many peo-
ple as you can. This was later given to El Burro.

3.3 CARSER CITY
This is believed to be the fourth island by many. Once again, because
it was mentioned in a radio commercial it led people to believe that
it existed. People 'said' that you could get to it by flying. It's
strange because they didn't give out directions. This is why it
doesn't exist. Master Dodo pilots have searched almost everywhere and
never saw a city named 'CARSER CITY'. And how can a big, huge city
just never be noticed by anyone? There is no fourth island or CARSER
CITY. Also, Carser City might be preparing us for GTA 4. Remember
that all of these are rumors. (I will have more detail on this in
later versions)

3.4 FWD (Full Winged Dodo)
People have claimed to have flown it but never told us how. Strange.
However one person on a message board did tell how. "I was doing the
mission S.A.M. and when the FWD flew down I got in it and flew it."
I tried this and I discovered that when you try to get in it, it just
falls through the ground. People belive that if you shoot it down you
can push it back to your hideout and it'll become the FWD. This is not
true because it becomes clipped. And even if it became the FWD, how
would it fit in your garage? If you fly next to it in a Dodo you can
see how big it is. Almost twice as wide! The Dodo can barely fit into
the Stanton Island garage so how can the FWD fit in it? (I will have
more detail on this in later versions)

3.5 DISNEYLAND
I don't have alot of information on this but I will soon. Some people
say they flew to DISNEYLAND and killed Mickey Mouse. Believe me, I
have seen this on a few message boards. They said to beat the game
(100%) and then go to francis internatonal airport and you can fly to
DISNEYLAND. I have a 100% completion and this never happened. Don't
be stupid and believe what they say about DISNEYLAND. It's all a
hoax.(I will have more detail on this in later versions)

I know that the Disneyland one isn't true and I have a bit more in-
formation for you from a magazine in England.  Some nutter sent in a
letter saying that if you buy all the weapons from ammunation in
Staunton 3 times and go to Francis International Airport there will
be a plane waiting for you but you have to find a ticket in the air-
port first.

3.6 FLYING THE PLANES
What I mean by this is flying the planes at the airport. These planes
are NOT flyable. Why would you even want to fly them? They are too
big to fly around Liberty City so why even try. I think I have a good
point, the tank takes up enogh space in the game so imagine what the
planes would do. The planes would be too hard to fly, too little
place to fly, and would take up too much gamespace. I think I make
myself clear.

3.7 PURPLE ESPERANTO
I have heard about this on the GameFAQs message board. I heard that
if you steal it and kill the driver the city hates you for about 20
minutes. It's like the pedestrians hate you cheat except you don't
cheat. I tried to look for this car for hours and it finally showed
up one day. I went and jacked it and killed the driver. What do you
know?, the city hated me. But it was for almost 10 minutes. I think
this 'cheat' differs from game to game. Anyway this car is
extremely hard to find. If you don't believe it exists just look at
the car database FAQ.  The esperanto comes in light purple and
PURPLE. (I will have more detail on this in later versions)

If you don`t like the color of your car just keep backing in and out
of a pay and spray to get different colors of your car. You can get a
Purple Esperanto this way and each time you go in the message will
say something like painting different color is complimentary and you
only spend 1000 dollars once.

3.8 GHOST TOWN
This does exist! It's a shame that some people say it doesn't exist.
There is plenty of proof. Look at the Ghost Town FAQ and you'll see
what I mean. Pictures, videos, maps, etc. The two basic ways to get
are the Dodo and the Tank. You take off facing away from Stanton
Island with the Dodo or Tank and start flouring it. After you take
flight you turn right and follow the coastline of Shoreside Vale.
When the coastline starts to curve right look for the Ghost Town
straight ahead hovering about 30 feet off the water. There are a few
solid pieces so it's pretty hard to land, but it's possible. No one's
done it yet but I'm sure someone will. I myself have gotten there so
this trully exists. (I will have more detail on this in later
versions)

3.9 HELICOPTER
On the GameFAQs message board the GFCC are trying to hack a code that
enable's you to get inside the helicopter. On the other hand on the
Neoseeker message board they 'appeared' to have found out how to get
in it. Many people try to suggest that the helicopter in The Exchange
has a locked door. People thought that if you put the unlock all
doors cheat in you can probably get in it. The GFCC said that, that
is unlikely to happen. I myself (I have GS) haven't tried it yet but
will. I looked at the Neoseeker's pictures and they look deceiving.
If you look at them you'll know what I mean. You think for
discovering this that they would have better equipment to take
pictures with? The quality's horrible and it doesnn't even look real.
One thing that caught my attention was that music plays when you
enter it. Weird. I think the GFCC might be on to something, but the
Neoseeker people I doubt. (I will have more detail on this in later
versions)

3.10 THE 7 LIFTS
One guy started this and it had to do with something like taking all
the gang cars to the seven lifts and you'll get something. The 7
lifts are by the basketball courts in Portland.

The 7 lifts are located in Portland behind the basketball courts near
Chinatown. Someday 1st put this in a thread as a What If? question
and more evidence seemed to suport this theory after time. Here are
some reasons why people began thinking that if you put 1 gang car on
each lift will act like an import/export garage: all of these "lifts"
are actually car lifts, there are 7 car lifts and there are 7
different gang cars, and the first 3 car lifts are lowered down and
there are 3 different gang cars on the 1st island. No one actually
claimed this true but some people got mixed up.

I tried to get the gang cars to lifts and it is not possible. I
tried this many times and the cars keep disappearing. It many have
been meat for that at first then edited out in the testing process.

3.11 LIGHTLESS TAXI
Yes this does exist! NOTE: This is NOT a yellow sentinel. You can
find it by your Stanton Island or Shoreside Vale hideouts. It's a
Taxi without the TAXI sign on the top of it. Many people believe it
is a yellow sentinel. It is not. I never in my life saw a sentinel
with the TAXI sign writings all over it's side. Here's how to get it:
Get a fast car like a Banshee and put it in your Stanton garage. Go
and save the game. After you save it, run to get the Banshee and
speed out onto the street. There's a 50/50 chance that it'll be
there. If not, load your game up and try again.

3.12 DAILY POLICE SPENDING
I have heard people talking about this on many message boards lately.
Especially the GameFAQs message board. Many people say that it is how
much the police spend on you. This is not true. Just look at the
Daily Police Spending and see what number it is. Remember it. Now un-
pause the game and immediately pause the game again. Now look at it.
It will have changed. This is a random number.

3.13 POGO THE MONKEY
Once again, it was mentioned in a commercial so everyone started to
believe about it. No you cannotfind him and shoot his banana cannon.
You CANNOT find him period. (I will have more detail on this in later
versions).

3.14 PURPLE NINES GLITCH
I don't know how I forgot this one. Even though it's the Purple Nines
_Glitch_, some people think it doesn't exist. After you complete
D-Ices mission Rumble, if you start a new game, you won't be able to
complete Uzi Money which makes it impossible to get 100%. If you want

3.15 NAMES BEHIND SSV MOUNTAINS. . .
