Introduction     [INTRO]

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is an enormous game composed of many missions
and side quests which will take many players over 50 hours to complete their
first time through.  Personally, I have completed this game 100% with over
75 hours of playing time, and have spent and additional 10 hours or so finding
all the cars for this list.
One of the new features added in the third 3D installment of GTA is the
ability to modify the vehicles you drive throughout the game.  I realized, at
some point, that even after all the time I have spent playing this game I still
have no idea which vehicles are allowed to be modded in which garages througout
the state of San Andreas.
Up to this point, I have been unable to find a guide to reveal the information
about modding that I wanted.  So, I decided to write this guide myself.
This will be a learning proscess for me, as it is the first FAQ/Guide I have
ever written.  My grammar is not always perfect, so bear with me.  I will be
testing the information contained in this guide manually as I write it.  As
such, this guide may take a while to be finished.  Please bear with me!

Locations and Names of, and Requirements for Mod Garages   [MODLOCAT]

There are 5 modification garages located throughout the state of San Andreas.
Once these garages become available to you, they will be represented on your
in-game map as a red wrench symbol.  Three of these garages will be
automatically available to you as soon as you access the city in which they are
located.  The other two will require you to finish a certain mission before
they become available.  So, without further ado, on with the list of garages...

a) Los Santos
=============

Location:  Temple, Northwest Los Santos. (E5 on your map)
Requirements to unlock:  Unlocks after you beat Sweet's mission
"Cesar Vialpando" early in the game.

Location:  Playa Del Seville, Southeastern Los Santos (E6 on your map that came
with the game)

just north of your safe house/garage in Doherty near Pay 'N Spray.
Requirements to unlock:  TransFender will be unlocked as soon as you are able
to access San Fierro.
Purpose: General Modifications.

Here are the steps to acquire a Phoenix...
1. Start the "Hills of San Fierro" street race next to Pay n Spray
in Doherty.
2. Instead of racing, return to the place where you activated the
race.
3. Get out of the car and wait for the 30 second timer to expire.
4. You fail the race, but the Phoenix is still sitting next to you
so back out of the race screen and go get it.
