This is insane.Easily one of THE cheapest moves in the game.It's like
Tatami Gaeshi,except she shoots out THREE carpets in one giant row that
stretches almost the entire screen!^_^

This mode is very fun.Check below on how to unlock it.I personally think
there should have been more enhancements to each character,but I suppose
that's made up for with the Shadow characters.I'll explain that later.^_^

UNLOCK TESTAMENT & DIZZY
The easy way:
---At the title screen,press D,F,F,U,START.You should hear Dizzy's voice
as a confirmation.
The real way:
---Enter Survival Mode.When you reach Survival Level 20,you will face
Daredevil Testament.Defeat him to unlock him.At Survival Level 30,you
will face Daredevil Dizzy.Defeat her to unlock her.
SPECIAL BATTLE INTRODUCTIONS
---At the beginning of a battle,there is a small quarrel between
certain characters.Some of them are actually pretty cool,too.
Millia vs. Zato-1One
Venom vs. Zato-1One
Johnny vs. May
Sol Badguy vs. Axl Low
Sol Badguy vs. Ky Kiske

THE COSTUMES
---Each character in Guilty Gear X has about 10 different costumes.
Some of them are downright awesome.Some of them are not.Also,most of
the good ones are unlocked in Survival Mode.I personally think the
Guilty Gear costumes are the best.They are noticable by their unusually
bright coloring and sharper lines with a slightly 3-D look.Also,the
Shadow costumes are great,as they are the best as far as enhancements
go.Here are all the button combinations that reveal new costumes.
1•SQUARE
2•TRIANGLE
3•CIRCLE
4•X
5•START(Gold Costume once unlocked)
6•SQUARE + TRIANGLE
7•SQUARE + X
8•X + CIRCLE
9•TRIANGLE + CIRCLE
10•hold START(Shadow Costume once unlocked)
---Here are the effects of the costumes.
GOLD COSTUME
•Speed is increased
•Damage is increased
•Defense is increased
SHADOW COSTUME
•Speed is doubled
•Damage is doubled
•Defense is doubled
•INFINITE TENSION GAUGE!!!
UNLOCKING COSTUMES
---Gold costumes are unlocked by completing Survival Mode.The Shadow
costumes are obtained by completing Survival Mode in under 10 minutes.
All other hidden colors are unlocked by defeating an opponent wearing
that particular costume during Survival Mode.Once that battle is over,
regardless of whether or not you win,that costume becomes selectable.
UNLOCK GUILTY GEAR MODE
1st Way---Set the Time Limit to 60 seconds.With Testament and Dizzy
already unlocked,clear Arcade Mode without losing a single round or using
a continue.Then Guilty Gear Mode will be in the Options Menu under "Game
Options".It can be set to affect only 1P or 2P,or both.
2nd Way---Clear Survival Mode.
ENDLESS SURVIVAL MODE
---Once you defeat Daredevil Zato-1One at the end of Survival Mode,press
and hold all 4 shoulder buttons.You will continue fighting in "Endless
Survival Mode".It is extremely difficult,as you will face some new,harder
opponents.This includes Shadow characters.This also includes the very EVIL
Daredevil Johnny and Daredevil Sol.Daredevil Johnny's Mist Finer can kill
you in ONE hit.Daredevil Sol is ALWAYS in Dragon Install.Have fun.^_^

This section is all about my favorite characters,and also some help in
picking your favorites or picking characters that are best suited for
a particular portion of the game.Believe me,with a game like this,chances
are everyones top 5 will be different.I hope this may help some of you
out with that though.
MY TOP 5 CHARACTERS
[01]. BAIKEN
---I just simply love Baiken.OK,so she's a very complicated character,but
once you get used to her unique fighting style and master her,you WILL be
killing people hard.Her moves are fantastic,she has just the right amount
of range,and her counterattacks can really get you out of a serious jam
when used correctly.Her overdrives are something else,I tell you.One is
simple yet VERY efective>It involves dashing forward while executing 3
very powerful slashes.The other is her ultimate counter.This awesome move
has 4 different forms,one for each attack button.One of them disables your
opponents ability to use special moves,and another even disables their
ability to jump!This Overdrive can and will turn the tables in your favor
VERY quickly.It's all in how you use her,basically.Plus,what could possibly
be better or more intimidating then a one-armed one-eyed samurai??
[02]. CHIPP ZANUFF
---Ok,first thing's first.CHIPP IS FAST.Like,unbelievably fast,especially
once you master him.With his array of moves,and the right hands,you can
take out your opponents before they even know what happened.^_^His moves
are all useful in their own way,his Overdrives are very potent,and his
speed and manueverability is simply unmatched.His ONLY weakness in my opinion
is his extremely low defense.This is no major gripe,as his speed and ability
to easily confuse his opponents more than make up for that.
[03]. JAM KURADOBERI
---Jam is totally cool.While not as useful and potent as the others I use,she
is very fun to play with,and has some very nice moves.Plus she can be funny
at times.The main thing most people overlook is that her 3 main special moves
can be "supercharged",put simply.This is done with Breath of Asanagi.Those 3
moves,when charged up,can easily end a match in the right hands.Her moves are
are very specific in a sense,but this is a good thing.No matter what,she ALWAYS
has a move that can completely avoid or even counteract any move dished out to
her.Her overdrives aren't bad either.The Psycho Burst is more useful as a
counter attack then anything else,but a good one at that.Rise of the Phoenix
is a very flashy supercombo ending in an upwards attack with a phoenix exploding
over the whole scene.All in all a great character,although her range is a bit
short,but not enough to call her a short-ranged fighter,as she has a few long
range attacks.
[04]. DIZZY
---Dizzy is just plain cool.As far as actual fighting goes,I still prefer the
others,but Dizzy has one of my favorite character designs in the game.She is
also a complete powerhouse.If you are not extremely careful,she will annihilate
you in seconds.She has a varied stabled of moves,all with good range.Her Overdrives
are very very powerful,and quite awesome as well.They have to be,to make up for the
fact that she doesn't have an Instant Kill like the rest.One is very very long range,
one is very short range,and her last one is a real kicker.If you can get it off(it
requires a full Tension Gauge!!),then say buh-bye to that opponent of yours.Ultimate
Doom,when it connects,hits an astounding 29 times,and will take off about 3/4 of
their life bar!Overall,Dizzy is the reigning queen of coolness,and can kill in
seconds when used correctly.
[05]. MILLIA RAGE
---I present to you my anger character,a.k.a. the character I use when I get rocked
evn with my best characters.It is pure coincidence that my anger character's last
name happens to be Rage,but it adds a nice touch.^_^When mastered,she can downright
piss you off beyond belief.Bad Moon is just plain cheap.It frustrates people like
you wouldn't believe.Used in conjunction with Maximum Velocity and Iron Saber,it
is bound to not only anger your opponent,but give them a slow painful death as well.
They don't do a terribly large amount of damage,which is the trade off for them
being nearly unavoidable and unpredictable.Millia is also the second fastest
character in the game,after Chipp of course.Her speed combined with Bad Moon
makes her a deadly adversary.Besides,she fights with her hair.That's just cool.
---If you want to clear Arcade Mode very quickly,use Potemkin and his Instant Kill.
If you use it correctly,you wil fly through arcade mode like it was nothing.
---For Survival Mode,I highly recommend Dizzy.She is the only one i could beat it
with.Not even with Baiken could I clear the EVIL Survival Mode.This is mainly
because her moves make the AI retarded.Try this combo to start with:
QCB + HEAVY SLASH,dash in,KICK,SLASH,SLASH,QCF + HEAVY SLASH,dash in,F + HEAVY
SLASH---This combo is very very effective in Survival Mode,although it won't
get you through all of it.Also,start performing the QCF + HEAVY SLASH command
during the 2nd SLASH,so it comes out immediately afterwards without delay.
On top of that,make sure that 2nd SLASH lasts long enough to push Dizzy back
far enough,otherwise the QCF + HEAVY SLASH will not hit them,as it has a set
range.You need to be about sweep distance.Keep this up,and add your own flavor,
and you should be fine.Good luck!
