There are 8 shields in the forest but some you may not be able to get right now 
because you need the herbivicus spell to get them. This forest may be hard to
figure out where you are in the beginning but it is actually really easy and 
it is easy to find everything pretty fast.

1.) Obtained by collecting all 10 mini-shields

   * Mini-shield location *

a.) Right where you start there are two boulders to your right, lift them and
    collect the shield.
b.) From the start go to the left and then to the left will be a Bototuber,
    launch it so you can go then your will come up to another one. Launch it 
    into the poisonous mushrooms to get the second mini-shield.
c.) To the right of the last one is a tree trunk with the shield on top of it,
    use the accio spell to get it.
d.) Keep going past 2 sets of mushrooms and you should come to a ledge that 
    will be on your right. Take the cauldronand fling it into the Butotubers 
    that are blocking a path up at the top of the screen then run there and get
    the shield inside.
e.) Get out and keep going and the dragon will be shooting fire go up on your
    right and you'll find your 5th shield.
f.) By the octogon you'll find a fire in the fires your next shield.
g.) Go left where all the Bototubers are and shoot them into the poisonous
    mushrooms to find the next shield.
h.) Pull down the door and climb the stairs, there will be many fire jets, in
    one is the next shield.
i.) From the octagon go to the left and then turn when you can make a right stay
    on the right side and its over there.
j.)

Reset the level and the shield will be right near you.


2.) You must find the Skrewt which is south of the octagon all the way back to
    the area with a stump and 2 bobotubers in the area, shoot it into the 
    poisonous mushrooms at the top of the screen then continue. After you beat 
    the Skrewt the shield's in the middle of the area.

3.) To the right of the octagon it is flying in the air. You must go left and
    find the block, levitate it back to the shield and put it underneath the
    shield to obtain it.

4.) When your being chased by the dragon or following it whatever your doing,
    you cross a bridge and fight a Skrewt and after you beat it you will find
    the shield.

5.) You must find the dragon that is in the cage to get the next one. Head south
    of the octagon until you get to the area with the tree stump and two boto-
    tubers, shoot the bototuber to the mushrooms in the south and continue on.
    You'll eventually come to an area with the mushrooms on the right side of
    the area, shoot those mushrooms to find the dragon. Now the first shield
    in the dragon area is next to the cage. Move the box in front of the cage
    so that it can not shoot you then put out the fires that are next to it, and
    collect the shield.

6.) In the same area as the last is the next shield on top of the cage. Head to
    the right side and shoot a bototuber into the poisonous mushrooms heading up
    the hill. Then you must use the herbivicous spell on the roots to get the
    shield.

7.) Start at the octagon and head to the left side and follow it up past all the
    mushrooms till you get to the stairs where all the fire shoots out. Follow
    it and cross the tree stump the head right and go to the end when you find
    what looks like a broken building. Inside it you see the shield hanging 
    there and you need to use the herbivicous spell on the roots to obtain it.
8.) In the area with the Skrewt you must use herbivicous on the plants to climb
    up to another area with another Skrewt up there. Kill the Skrewt and the
    Vampyrs until the shield falls then collect it to get the last shield.
