Press select and the map should appear. Select ether a location(Press left) or a person (Press right). Select one by pressing X. Now a 4point star should appear of where the location or person is. Press select again, and walk around a bit, then stop. You should se black footprints. Follow these footprints and you should eventually come to the location or person you selected on the map before!
