~About this Walkthrough~
Hello! My Name is Rika Niriki and this is my Haunting Ground walkthrough! I’ve
always wanted to make a Video walkthrough for this game ever since I bought it,
however since I apparently am not technologically smart enough to do that I
finally settled on making this written walkthrough instead. Now I have Beaten
Haunting Ground 100% but since this is my first walkthrough ever this will not
be a 100% guide. I will have a sub section on what to do to get a Hundred
percent and I will have Tips and tricks in the guide if you care to look at
them. Other than that let’s get this show on the Road!

~Key Game Basics~
Controls:
The buttons-
X: Run
Circle: Examine Items/Furniture/etc, Open/Close Doors
Square: Kick when Standing, while Running ‘Kick’ Turns to Shoves
Triangle: Use Equipped Weapons/Items
Other Controls:
D-Pad/Left Analog stick: Move Fiona around
L1: Makes Fiona Crouch
R1: Makes Fiona Jump back (Kinda like a Pointless Dodge)
Hewie Controls:
Up: “Go!” Attack or Hewie starting trying to find hidden items
Left: “Good Boy!” Gives Hewie Praise and lets him know that what he did was
good!
Down: “Come on!” Calls Hewie to your side.
Right: “No!” Scolds Hewie and lets him know that what he did was bad.
Press down: “Sit/Stay!” Hewie sits and Stays.
R3: (Press Down Analog Stick): “Shake!” Make Hewie Shake hands
Fiona’s Status:
Panic Mode: When facing a Dangerous Situation (Such as being pursued by a
Stalker) Fiona might get scared and Go into a Panic mode. This can be identified
by Fiona Screaming and the screen goes Black and white and Fuzzy. After a while
Fiona will calm down and return to normal, however while in this state:
~Visibility gets worse
~You can’t open the Sub screen
~Fiona Starts running on her own
~Fiona Falls over if she runs into a wall
~If Fiona falls down she is left Defenseless and if caught by a Stalker it means
death
Stamina: Fiona Loses Stamina if she is; Hurt, Wounded, or Tired. You can tell
she needs to recover if she is Holding her side and Runs or walks slowly. If you
are in a safe area just simply give her a break by standing there while she
recovers on her own.
~Characters~
Fiona Belli: An 18 year old Girl who recently moved away to College. But while
visiting her parents, a tragic accident took their lives and left her sealed in
a Dark echoing Castle. Clueless to the Mysterious events transpiring in the
castle Fiona uses her Quick Wits and Strong Endurance to Search for a way out of
this Nightmare.
Hewie: A four year old White Shepherd that Fiona finds tied up and distressed.
Once Fiona frees Hewie, he becomes unshakably attached to her. Hewie had a
collar with his name engraved on it and appeared to be well cared for at one
time. Together he and Fiona work as a team to make their way through Belli
Castle.
Debilitas: The Castle Gardener and Handyman. Upon Seeing Fiona he has an
uncontrollable urge to Chase her. Despite being over sized and abnormally
developed, Debi’s mentally troubled. He seems to understand when he is being
scolded yet is unable to speak for himself.
Daniella: She Cooks and Cleans around the castle. Although so beautiful that she
could have stepped out of an old painting, her movements are Machine like. She
expresses no emotion and is more ghosts like than Human.
Riccardo: The Castle Builder who keeps his face hidden in the hood of his
jacket. Judging from his relationship with Debi and Daniella, though he acts
like a servant, he seems to be in charge of the Castle.
Lorenzo: A Shadowy Figure who tries to help Fiona. Not much is known about him
except that he’s extremely old.
~Good Advice~
~Listen to the Background Music. If it stops playing, instantly stop walking.
This means the Stalker is nearby and is listening for you. If Hewie starts
Growling Run!
~Luminescent’s and Humanoids Will cause Hewie to Growl and Turn the Back ground
Music off. Only ignore this silence and Growls if you are 100% sure they are the
cause
~Break all the Vases you can find! But be careful, if A Stalker is listening for
you, breaking a Vase can attract them.
~Try not to get separated from Hewie unless you’re told.
~Don’t just think of Fiona, Watch out for Hewie too, he loses Stamina just like
Fiona
~Take advantage of Hewie’s special Attack. When fighting a stalker Press the R3
button (Press down on the Right Analog stick). Hewie will growl signaling he is
ready to attack, lure the stalker in front of Hewie and tell him to “Go!”
~Costumes~
Fiona:
Normal Costume 1: The Default Costume which is Given to Fiona at the beginning
of the game by Daniella. Attack by Kicking
Normal Costume 2: The Same Default Costume except Fiona’s hair is down and she
is bare foot. Given back to Fiona in the Tower Level. Attack by Kicking
Under the Scalpel: A White stained Surgery gown. Fiona wakes up in this costume
at the beginning of the Tower level. Attack by Kicking
Texas Cowgirl: Fiona sports a Bikini top and Leather Chaps. She wears her hair
down and a cowgirl hat around the back of her neck. Unlock after beating the
game once. Attack by Shooting a Gun
Illegal in Some states: Fiona becomes a Sexy Dominatrix and Is ready to teach
those bad guys a Lesson! Unlock after beating the game once. Attack by using a
whip.
Fiona the Frog: Fiona sports a Frog Costume, not much else to say. Unlock after
beating the game on Hard mode. Attack by Kicking
Hewie:
White German shepherd: The Default Costume Hewie appears  in. Unlock from the
start.
Black German shepherd: The Classic German Shepherd coat. The Plus side to this
costume is Hewie’s attacks are Stronger but he will be harder to tame. Unlock
after beating the game once.
Stuffed dog: Ain’t he CUTE! Yes I know some of you are thinking this is a Dumb
costume but here’s the AMAZING catch! HEWIE’S INVINCIBLE in this Costume!! It’s
AWESOME! Unlocked after beating the game in Hard mode.
~Endings~
No Spoilers I promise!!
A. Fortes Fortuna Juvat (Fortune favors the brave!)
This is the best or ‘Perfect’ Ending. In order to get this ending you must
-Spare Debi’s Life
-Have the Highest Friendship Level with Hewie
B. Ignis Aurum Probat (One is tested in the fire)
The Second Best Ending you can unlock, in order to get this ending you must
-Kill Debi
-Have a Good Friendship Level with Hewie
C. Dona Nobis Pacem (Give Me Peace)
This is kind of a quick and easy Ending. In order to get this Ending you must
-Beat the Game once
-Spare Debi
-Get the Smudged Key from Debi
-Unlock the Stall in the Bathroom and get the Castle Key
-Unlock the Castle gat in the Front Courtyard
D. Tu Fui, Ego Eris (What you are, I was. What I am, you will be.)
The Worst Ending in the game. In order to get this ending you must
-Treat Hewie like Crap so he hates you
-Don’t look for him in Chaos Forest
~Unlockables~
After beating the game once you can Unlock Extra things.
Secret Room: Here is where you can View Cut scenes, Look at Game art, and
Character models that you have unlocked. You can Also Try on Costumes and See
the Different Titles you have been awarded.
Hard Mode: The Stalkers all wear Different costumes and are much        harder
to beat. They Find you easier and are smarter. It is also harder to find normal
items such as Lavenders or Chamomiles.
Hewie Mini Game: You can access this via the Secret Room. You   play as Hewie
while trying to lead Fiona to safety.
~Game Titles~
At the end of each play through you are given a Title. There are 11 in Total.
Throughout the guide I will stop and Give Tips on how to get certain titles.

Top Breeder: "True Friendship is like the brewing of a fine wine."
Have the Highest Friendship Level with Hewie
Treasure Hunter: "Settling for nothing less than having everything is something
that should be commended, nor reprimanded."
Find more than 75% of the items in the game
Warmonger: "They should never have brought you to this castle because, in fact,
you became their nightmare."
Defeat Enemies a total of 30 times (you can Mix and match)
Track Star: "Speed. Pure and Simple. Running like the wind."
Beat the game in under 3 hours (it’s Possible,  I can beat it in 2…)
Dog Lover:  "Here's to being friends with man's best friend."
Treat Hewie well enough to where he doesn’t Love or Hate you
Scream Queen: "Screaming like some second-rate actress in a bad horror flick."
Go into Panic Mode over 30 Times
Speed walker: "Time stands still for no one. Use it wisely."
Beat the game in 3-4 hours
Fugitive: "There is always more than one solution to every problem."
Get Ending C
Unjudged: “Typical. Standard. Run-of-the-mill. Ordinary. What more is there to
say?"
Get more than one title in one play through (Top breeder, Warmonger and…)
Late Bloomer: "Sometimes, time is on your side."
Beat the game in over 20 hours
Dog beater: "You are obviously not a dog person."
Make Hewie hate you and get Ending D
**Let’s Get Started!**
I have divided this walkthrough into ‘Level’s’ of sorts, based on either the
Stalker of a certain area or the main task. Now that we know a little about the
game let’s just go ahead and Play! Starting with the Intro as I call it!
***End***
~Meet your first Stalker~
~*~Courtyard~*~
After a Slightly Unsettling Cut scene we start out in the Courtyard, Naked, with
a silky smooth Sheet, awwww. Anywho, as of right now you can’t do anything
except Walk and/or Run. So let’s take this time to get to know our Menu. To
Pause the Game, we press start. Duh. To open the Menu we press Select. Right now
we have empty everything. Yaaaay. Except the Comment Section which is before
Option. Whenever you hear like a random ‘Ping’ sound that Means Fiona would like
to tell us what she’s thinking. Joy. Anyways back to the game
Start by Running to the end of the courtyard, past the Stairs (But Remember them
cause we’ll be back) and Run past the Pretty Water fountain till you get to a
small Two section Cage. Open it (Use O) and Pick up the shiny item (Also Use O).
Now there’s not much you can do in the current condition you are in so let’s go
back to those Stairs we passed earlier
On your way up the stairs, right before the second stair way I want you to make
a small Detour around the little fence wall thing and go all the way to your
left to the gate door. It’s locked. But remember it!! Okay? Now go back to the
Second Stairs and go up them to open the door and go inside.
~*~Main Bedroom~*~

Not much for right now. Take note of the Hiding spot, it will be used soon
probably. The Sink is a heal spot and Also take note of the Locked Stall at the

Now we can do 2 things here. 1) Examine the door by the clock. SURPRISE! It’s
locked! So go to the only door on your Left. (Oh and you can break the wall at
the end of the hall if you want. Fiona will get a little scared and you get a

~*~Kitchen~*~
Go around the counter to pick up the Shiny. Now If you feel that Debi is nowhere
near you (And he shouldn’t be) I’d advise you to Go through that door and into

Pick up the Map that we have been searching for! YAY! Now in order to use the
map you must open in from the Key items screen. Now, Honestly. I have beaten
this game nearly a thousand times and NEVER have had to use a map. So this, to
me, was pointless. But It made Fiona feel better so then we feel better because

What the- how did he not break the bed!!! (PING!!!) Anyways…YAY Hewie loves us
and he would like to be our friend now! And Now that we have Hewie we can
actually fight Our Stalkers. Here’s a quick mini guide to control Hewie. First
you use the Right Analog stick:
Up: “Go!” *Around Stalkers* Attack. *No Stalkers* Hewie starting trying to find
hidden items
Left: “Good Boy!” Gives Hewie Praise and lets him know that what he did was
good!
Down: “Come on!” Calls Hewie to your side. (His tends to disobey this at first)
Right: “No!” Scolds Hewie and lets him know that what he did was bad.
Press down: “Sit/Stay!” Hewie sits and Stays. (Very Disobedient at first)
Okay, we all clear now? Good. Now My Advice is to Call Hewie every five steps
and then when he barks and follows Praise him. This will make him obey you

Remember that Door Next to the Clock? (Speaking of which, when was the last time
YOU saved? Cause I just did) Yeah we now have the Puppet to unlock it! So
examine the door (PING!) and Use the Puppet. It’s Unlocked? Great! DON’T MOVE!
Don’t go in the room yet because if you go in and step on the pretty red carpet
you’ll get a sick Death scene.
What do you do now you ask? Well it’s simple. Go around by the clock until you

to stay on the switch (this may take a couple of tries before he gets it) now

Okay…I think everyone should know that I am Pediophobic. I am Afraid of Dolls!
SO THIS ROOM IS MESSED UP! Seriously! Who ever created this room was SICK!
Okay…Remember that Magnus Key Plate I made you make? Well go towards the bottom
of the screen until you see a small Red Safe surrounded by *Shutter* Dolls. Use
the key plate on that safe to get Inquisitor Earrings and the Jade Choker. Now
leave the room via the other door…
~*~Diorama Room~*~
Pretty aint it? Much better then dolls. Anyways towards the Top left Corner of
the room is a large hole. Don’t go in? HA! Let’s go in!
~*~Safe Room~*~
These Rooms Are known by me as Safe rooms cause their safe. No enemies come in
but Hewie has to stay out. Note the machine in the back as an Alchemy machine.
If you pick up Medallions you can Change them into Items with this. There’s also
a Machine for second time players to get stuff if they know codes and there’s a
dresser to change costumes once their unlocked. Done here? Okay Back out to the…
~*~Diorama Room~*~
Go to the door in front of the stairs and go out…
~*~Balcony~*~
DON’T TOUCH THAT ITEM! Ignore it and go to the Second Pillar and Face it. Send
Hewie to go and He’ll get the item on Top. Give him Praise and now make a
Choice. You can 1) Go pick up that Item. If you go you’ll fall down to the level
below and 98% chance of attracting Debi AND you’ll be without Hewie till you run
upstairs. This is the Quicker option compared to 2) Run around like Crazy and
Purposely attract Debi, lead him to the Balcony and try to get Him to step near
the Item. Debi will fall and you won’t see him for a while. Either way, you’ll
end up on the ground level.
***Special Trick***
If you really want to be quick around this situation do this. You walk on the
edge and fall down. Debi will instantly be there to chase you. Go through door
directly behind the Rubble Pillar and Go through that room to the lower level of
the Diorama room. Run up to the second floor, run around and past the Diorama
and To the dead end edge to Start a Battle Cut Scene where Depending on your
Friendship level with Hewie Debi will either fall off that edge or Not and get
madder. Your Call.

Another Bathroom!! Look a Typewriter! You already have the Key plates you need
for the upcoming Puzzle. I made you make them in the Beginning. The Salt Mercury
and Sulfur. Just for the hell of it make one more. SALTATIO. You’ll see what it
does in due time. Recover at the Sink and Be on your Marry way. (If you want to
play with Daniella, open the curtains at the end of the Bathroom.)
