He is the king of Spargus City. Has a warrior attitude. Kleiver --- Kleiver is a Wastelander. He provides Jak’s off-road vehicles and thinks Daxter would make a nice meal. Seem --- Seem is a Monk. She doesn’t like Jak in the beginning because of his dark side. Veger --- He is part of the High Council of Haven City. He had Jak thrown out of Haven City. Samos --- Samos believes Jak can solve the Precursor mystery. He’s the Green Sage and has been in Jak’s past two adventures. Keira --- She’s the daughter of Samos. She’s a mechanic and designed Jak’s Jetboard. She has been in Jak’s past two adventures. Ashelin --- Ashelin is Baron Praxis’s daughter. She is currently the ruler of Haven City. She was in “Jak 2”. Tess --- Tess now runs the shooting range and makes guns. She LOVES Daxter... one of the few women who do. She was in “Jak 2”. Pecker --- Pecker is Onin’s translator and Daxter’s rival. He becomes friends with Damas. He was in “Jak 2”. Torn --- Torn is part of the Freedom League. He’s a brave soldier and is rather quiet. He was in “Jak 2”. Jinx --- He’s an explosives expert. On missions with Jak, he tells him to watch his back. He was in “Jak 2”. Cyber-Errol --- He was supposedly dead, but he was built as a robot. Now he wants to control the universe. He was in “Jak 2”. Sig --- A guy who loves killing Metal Heads. He used to work for Krew, but is now Jak’s friend. He was in “Jak 2”. Onin --- A blind woman. She can see into the future and can see many other things. Pecker is her translator. She was in “Jak 2”. Daxter --- ‘Orange Lightning’ is the furry Ottsel. He stays on Jak’s shoulder. He is very loyal to Jak. He was in Jak’s past two adventures. Jak --- The main character, the hero (Daxter doesn’t think so). He has become darker since he was thrown out to the Wasteland. After getting filled with Light Eco, he has gotten better. He’s the main star and was in the past two of his adventures. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.2 –Weapons and Vehicles- Weapons Red Guns Scatter Gun (Red Gun 1) --- A slow gun. It scatters close enemies and damages them. Wave Concussor (Red Gun 2) –-- A gun that can be charged to cause more damage. If you fully charge it, it will consume 5 ammo units. Plasmite RPG (Red Gun 3) --- A grenade launcher. It consumes 10 ammo units per shot. The grenade will explode soon after impact. Yellow Guns Blaster (Yellow Gun 1) --- A gun that has a red laser that helps with aiming. It has a long range. It can shoot enemies from a distance. Beam Reflexor (Yellow Gun 2) --- A shot consumes 2 ammo units. This is the gun that I used the most. If I found myself in a room full of enemies, I jump, spin, and hold R1. This sent shots bouncing all over the walls, killing large numbers of enemies. Gyro Burster (Yellow Gun 3) --- One shot consumes 50 ammo units, but it’s perfect for taking out many enemies. Blue Guns Vulcan Fury (Blue Gun 1) –-- Even though it consume 1 ammo unit per shot, you’ll find yourself consuming ammo fast. Instead of pressing R1 over and over again, you can hold it down. You can breeze through enemies. Arc Wielder (Blue Gun 2) --- This gobbles up ammo, too. It sends a continuous stream of electricity out to zap enemies. Needle Lazer (Blue Gun 3) --- Consumes ammo even quicker than the Arc Wielder. It sends heat-seeking shots at enemies. Purple Guns Peace Maker (Purple Gun 1) --- Sends out a ball of electricity that hits an enemy and then spreads to another enemy close by. Mass Inverter (Purple Gun 2) --- This gun doesn’t actually do damage. You use it to send an anti-gravity wave on enemies. Destroy them quickly, as the effect doesn’t last forever. Super Nova (Purple Gun 3) --- It consumes 10 ammo units per shot, and with the low ammo capacity of the purple gun, you’ll find yourself out of ammo super quick. It launches a missile. The screen goes white. Say good-bye to the enemies. Vehicles Jetboard --- Quicker than foot travel, this is a lot of fun. You can perform tricks. This is useful for ring challenges. Leaper Lizard --- A creature that enjoys eating Kanga-Rats. They’re the transportation for Spargus City. Monk Glider --- You only use this once to get inside a volcano. Fly through accelerator rings to keep yourself from plummeting to the ground. Dark Maker Robot --- This robot is used to infiltrate the dark maker ship and to destroy the shield. Zoomer --- These are the vehicles in Haven City. These are the fastest ones. Flyer --- These are two-seater versions of Zoomers. They’re not as fast, but can carry two people at once. Cruiser --- They’re not nearly as fast as Zoomers, but they can carry up to three people. Hellcat Cruiser --- The Freedom League uses Blue Hellcat Cruisers. They have built in cannons. Off-Road Vehicles Tough Puppy --- This is the beginning off-road vehicle. Weapons: No Sand Shark --- Faster than the Tough Puppy, the Sand Shark is better, too. It has heavier armor. Weapons: Yes Gila Stomper --- This vehicle is big and is even slower than the Tough Puppy. It has a self-aiming turret. Weapons: Yes Dune Hopper --- You can perform long jumps by holding in L1 then releasing it. This is the only vehicle that can reach the Monk Temple. Weapons: Yes Slam Dozer --- This vehicle has infinite turbos. It is pretty fast. Weapons: Yes Heat Seeker --- This vehicle must be unlocked by giving up 15 Precursor Orbs. Weapons: Yes Dust Demon --- This vehicle must be unlocked by giving up 15 Precursor Orbs. Weapons: Yes Desert Screamer --- This vehicle must be unlocked by giving up 20 Precursor Orbs. Weapons: Yes ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.3 –Items- Crates --- These contain items such as Dark Eco, ammo, and Precursor Orbs. Health Packs --- Health Packs restore either one or two circles to Jak’s health meter. Precursor Orbs --- You can find these in crates, get them after bonus missions, and find them hidden. They’re used to purchase secrets. You can see a list of these secrets after the walkthrough. Skull Gems --- These can be found in crates and after killing a Metal Head. These are used to activate Precursor Statues and kiosks to go on a bonus mission. Dark Eco --- Collect enough Dark Eco, and you can turn into Dark Jak and use one of his special Dark Powers (Dark Bomb or Dark Blast). Light Eco --- Like Dark Eco, this is collected to turn into Light Jak. You don’t have to have the entire meter filled. Ammo –-- This is used to get more shots off of your gun. Red ammo fills up the red gun, and so on. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.4 –Dark and Light Jak- Dark Jak To turn into Dark Jak, press L2. To turn back, press L2 again or board your Jetboard. Jak becomes more powerful, but it’s not permanent. The Moves Dark Bomb --- Press X then square Requires: The Dark Eco bar must be at least halfway filled. It will drain it completely. Dark Blast –-- Press square the X or L1 and square. Requires: Same as Dark Bomb. Shadow Invisibility --- Press triangle in front of a Precursor Idol and Jak will become invisible. You can walk by enemies without being seen, but only for a short amount of time. Requires: Precursor Idol Dark Strike --- Press R1 while Dark Jak to unleash an attack of Dark Eco. It can destroy cracked walls. Light Jak To turn into Light Jak, hold L2 and press X, triangle, square, or circle. Press L2 to turn back to normal or mount your Jetboard. The Moves Light Regeneration --- Press L2 and triangle. Will restore health. Will stop if Light Eco runs out or health is full. Flash Freeze --- L2 and square. This slows down enemies while you move normally. It doesn’t last forever. Light Shield --- Press L2 and circle. Shields enemy attacks while circle is held down or when the eco runs out. Light Flight --- Press L2 and X. This brings out the wings. Press X then X to get into the air. Press X at timed intervals to remain in the air. Helps you reach places you couldn’t normally reach. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.0 –The Walkthrough Act 1- Finally! Now it’s the main part of this guide. This part covers Act 1 of the game. READ THIS!!! *Note: How to start a mission is explained in the previous mission. There’s usually a scene or someone contacting you. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.1 –Complete Arena Training Course- Step into the beam of light and Pecker will give you instructions. You must collect all of the glowing tokens to continue. Pecker will tell you how to clear each part and there will be words at the bottom of the screen to make it clearer. You must jump up the three platforms and collect 6 tokens. Now Pecker tells you to roll. While moving, press L1 and you’ll roll. Collect the two tokens on the narrow path. There should be 27 left. Collect the 3 tokens here and spin attack the wooden thing. Climb up the ladder and collect the 3 tokens here. You should now have 21 left. Double jump to the platform and grab a token. Punch the wooden thing and collect 3 more tokens. By this point, you should have 17 left. Jump and collect a token. Don’t fall in the lava! Now double jump and collect 2 tokens. You should have 14 left. Near the platform, hold L1 and press X for a high jump. Collect the 3 tokens. Jump on the moving platform and jump again to reach next platform. Collect 2 tokens and you’ll have 9 left. Now you’ll have to roll jump over a long gap. So roll and press X for a long jump. If you miss, you won’t fall into the lava, so try again. Collect 2 tokens and jump onto the moving platform and onto the next part. Collect the 3 tokens and you’ll have 4 left. Stand on the hatch, jump, and press square in the air to break the hatch. Collect 3 tokens and double jump to next platform to collect the final token. Walk onto the platform to go up. When it stops, jump into the beam of light for a cutscene. You’ll receive the Scatter Gun. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.2 –Earn 1st War Amulet- You’ll see a counter with a number 20. You have to defeat 20 marauders to earn the amulet. Words at the bottom of the screen tell you to press R1 to fire your gun. Do this. Now fight off the 20 marauders by using your gun, spin attack, punching, or any combination you can do. Collect any Dark Eco that the marauders leave behind. Occasionally, you’ll hear an alarm. When you hear it, quickly jump onto one of the raised platforms and stay there until the lava goes back down. Some marauders will burn, while others are smart enough to jump onto the raised platforms. When there are five marauders left, you’ll turn into Dark Jak. You can’t turn back to normal, so continue attacking. You can’t use a weapon now. Finish off the remaining marauders. When finished, jump onto a platform to go back up. Jump into the beam of light for another cutscene. You’ll receive the Blaster Mod. Press up and down on the directional pad to cycle through the two guns. Jump onto the platform you came on and jump to the next platform. The door will open. In here, you can smash the crates for ammo, if needed. Move forward and you’ll meet Kleiver. A cutscene will occur. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.3 –Catch Kanga-Rats- After the scene, you’ll see a counter with showing Kanga-Rats. You’ll have to jump on the Leaper Lizard waiting by the exit. You can press the square button for a charge attack. Now follow the red dots on your map in the lower right corner. These are the Kanga-Rats. The rats will try to run from you, but the Leaper Lizard is fast. Press square when you get close enough to one. Watch what the Leaper Lizard does. Ew. After you’ve gotten all six, another icon will appear on your map. This is called the Seem icon. Go to her and a cutscene will occur. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.4 –Unlock Satellite- This is kind of like DDR without the exercise. Press square, triangle, circle, or X as they pass through the rings. Don’t press the wrong button; press a button when the symbol isn’t near the ring, or let the symbols hit the middle. You have 5 misses. Misses are the things not to do. When you reach 75 symbols hit, the mission ends and there’s another scene. You receive your first Dark Eco Crystal. Now go the icon that looks like a fist. This is the Kleiver icon. There will be a scene and you receive the Tough Puppy vehicle. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.5 –Beat Kleiver in Desert Race- Before you race Kleiver, you’re going to need to learn how to drive. The green bar shows your vehicles armor. It depletes if your vehicle takes damage. The red circles represent turbos. To use a turbo, press R2. So hop into the Tough Puppy (a beam of light is highlighting it). Hold down X to move forward. The big door will open for you. This is the desert! Head towards the beam of light (it’s a green circle on your map). First you must drive through the first beam. Go to the next beam. It will tell you to brake by hitting the square button. It tells you to press L2 for a rear view. Now drive past the next beam and hold down the square button to reverse. Jump (press L1) over the boxes to reach the next beam. Head toward the next beam and press circle and move the left analog stick to the left or right to do a skid turn. When you reach the next beam, completely stop. Press L1 and move the left analog stick to the left or right to perform a jump in place. The final beam takes you to the race. A timer, a place counter, and a lap counter appear. Win by getting 1st place. Pick up the turbos (red circles) and press R2 to use them. In the race, there are mud puddles (they might be water) that will slow you down. Avoid these and jump (L1) over the last one. The track’s straightforward and it’s not very hard to win. Head for the tire icon on your map. Make sure to watch out for marauders. They shoot at you and appear as red dots on your map. Once you get back to the garage, there’s a scene. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.6 –Race for Artifacts- The Tough Puppy is used for this mission. Once you drive out of the large doors, a timer will appear. The artifacts appear as green dots on your map and are shown by a beam of light. Follow the green dots and when you are heading for the 5th one, you must jump over a gap. When heading for the 9th, it is suggested to use the bridge because the water will slow you down. The final green dot is the garage, and you have the remaining time to get there. There will be a scene and you receive Bracers. Enter Spargus City and head towards the Seem icon. There will be a scene when you arrive. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.7 –Beat Monks in Leaper Race- It is rather easy to get past the monks and stay ahead, but the rings are a bit hard to follow because they suddenly can change the direction you’re going (ex. You might have to make a sharp right turn). The red ring is the finish line. Once finished, a scene will occur and you’ll receive a Light Eco Crystal. Head towards the fist icon now and there will be a scene. You get the Sand Shark vehicle, which comes with a weapon (R1 fires it). ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.8 –Destroy Metal Head Beasts- There will be a counter that shows you have to destroy four beasts. The beasts appear as green dots on your map. They are huge, are able to send you flying, and throw bombs at you. It takes several hits to bring one down. They like to turn around and head in the direction they came from. The last one will fall over as if defeated, and then it’ll get back up. After you defeat the last beast, a scene will occur and you’ll receive a Dark Eco Crystal. Head to Damas’s palace (the icon looks like a mountain). Get onto the elevator and head up. Once you approach Damas on his throne, there will be a scene. You’ll receive the Wave Concussor. Go to the arena (the icon is a sword). Once you’re inside, hop onto a platform and ride it down. Go to the beam of light. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.9 –Earn 2nd War Amulet- Break the crates and collect the Dark Eco. It should fill your meter halfway. Use your Dark Bomb attack (X + square). Before your attack, there were 30 marauders. An alarm will sometimes sound. When this occurs, head over to another platform and fight off marauders there. You can use any of your guns and attacks. Once you’ve taken care of all the marauders, hop onto a platform and ride back up. Go into the beam of light and watch the scene. You receive your 2nd War Amulet and the Beam Reflexor gun. Exit the arena and head to the fist. Walk to Kleiver and Damas and watch the scene. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.10 –Corral Wild Leapers- You use the Sand Shark for this mission. Head towards the icon that represents the corral. When you reach the corral, head towards a red dot. These are the Leaper Lizards. Once you get close enough on your vehicle, Daxter will hop onto a Leaper Lizard. Avoid the walls and the cactus patches and steer the lizard to the corral. A scene will occur once you get him inside. Repeat this process two more times. After the third lizard is secured, a scene will occur and you get the Dune Hopper vehicle. Now you have a choice. You can rescue Wastelanders or climb the Monk Temple Tower. These are in order starting with the Wastelanders mission, but you can climb the temple if you want. Visit Damas at his palace (or hop on the Dune Hopper). There is a scene with Damas. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.11 –Rescue Wastelanders- You use the Sand Shark for this mission. A timer will appear once you exit the garage. Ride to the green dot. This is a Wastelander. A beam of light baths him. Use your brake and he will hop in. Head towards the next green dot, brake, and the Wastelander will get out. Pick up the next one, drop him off, and then the next one. After you drop him off, your timer will increase to over four minutes. Drive to the green dot. Jak will hop out and there will be a scene. You receive the Dark Eco Crystal. The boss will spin, shooting lasers. Stay under it and close to its shadow. When it comes down, jump over the ring, jump over the tentacle and shoot at it with the Blaster Mod or Beam Reflexor. After shooting it a couple times, it’ll go back up in the air and the process starts again. This time, you must jump over 2 rings and avoid 2 tentacles. The third time, there will be 3 rings and 3 tentacles. With your remaining time, you must head to the green dot. The mission ends when you arrive. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.12 –Climb Monk Temple Tower- Get into the Dune Hopper and hold L1 and release it. This executes a super jump. Drive towards the red icon on the map. When you reach the islands, jump over the gaps with your super jump. There will be one last gap before you reach the tower. When you enter the temple, there will be a scene. If you try to walk under the eye, spikes will block you, so climb up the platforms, bounce, and swing on the pole. Go the next one and go to the platform on the right. Continue hopping on platforms and swinging on poles. Some of the platforms might fall. Head up the stairs and continue jumping and swinging. When you reach the very top, you’ll see the Monk Glider. There will be a scene. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.13 –Glide to Volcano- The controls are inverted for this mission (meaning up is down and down is up). Go through the blue accelerator rings. Shoot open any closed rings. The blue thermals boost you up to other parts. The bar at the bottom of the screen shows your acceleration level. Once you go through the opening, a scene occurs. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.14 –Find Satellite in Volcano Now this mission is a bit long. Ignore the eye because it’ll just block you from going through the gate. Head down the path and fight off any Metal Heads. Continue along the path and head up the ramp. Break the crates for ammo. Chase after the Leaper Lizard. When jumping across some gaps, the edges of the platforms might fall. Fight off any Metal Heads. Continue falling the lizard and when you reach crates, break them. You can find the lizard in a patch of grass. Hop on and jump up some ledges and head across the gap while avoiding the fireball. Avoid the next fireball, land on the platform, and jump onto the next place. The next platforms rise and fall, too. Continue jumping and when you reach the crate, break it open with the lizard. Make a long jump to the next platform and take out the spiky critters. When you get to the ladder, climb up it. When jumping, there’s an edge that will crumble. Go near the trees and you’ll experience “Daxter Time”. You’re hanging from a sort of net, so stay to the side to avoid fireballs, and when you reach the end, jump down. Avoid the streamers of lava while you jump on the moving wooden platform and jump to the next platform. There are Metal Heads here, so take them out. Another Metal Head will be up ahead, so defeat him. There’s a wooden platform ahead. You’ll reach more netting, so go across on the sides to avoid the fireballs. Walk up towards the second rock column and watch the scene. Head down the new ramp and now you’ll be in control of Jak. You must Crouch Jump to reach the high platform. Take out the Metal Heads and punch the stone into the geyser. Jump up on it to reach the next ledge. To jump over the long gap down the path, Roll Jump and then you can break the crates. You’ll have to do another Roll Jump up ahead, but this edge will crumble. Go over to the pipe, watch the scene, and it’s another Daxter Time. You’ll be sliding down a slide. Jump over any gaps. Head up towards some rocks and jump onto them. Bounce on the sheets and take out the enemies up ahead. Repeat this process and repeat it one more time, only there will be no enemies. Head to the rock and watch the scene. Jump down and you’ll be Jak. Punch the rock onto the geyser, jump on it, and jump off when it reaches the top. Take out any Metal Heads. Up ahead there are three geysers, two without rocks. Punch the rocks onto the geysers. Jump onto the middle rock and ride it up. Jump off and head up the path. Take out the two enemies. Go up the ramp and you’ll see platforms floating on lave. Jump on one, and then jump onto the ladder. Climb up. Watch the scene. You receive Dark Jak Invisibility. Jump onto one of the floating rocks, float down the lava stream, and jump onto the next platform. Go down the path and jump off the ledge. You’re back where you started! Go to the Dark Idol and press triangle to turn invisible. Go under the eye and through the blue warp gate. That’s the end! Finally! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.15 –Find Oracle in Monk Temple- You’re back where you started before climbing the tower. Activate the Dark Idol to turn invisible and to pass under the eye and through the door. Battle the Spiders and head down the steps. Go through the Dark Eco Vent to charge your eco meter. In the next room, do you see the guns? Don’t go near them. It’s automatic death. Stay to the side of the room and head over to the Dark Idol. Turn invisible and walk under the guns. Push down the button by pressing X and square. You’re no longer invisible, so use the Wave Concussor (fully charged), Dark Bomb (X + square), or Dark Blast (Square + X). You can charge at the Dark Eco Vent, but there’s another one up ahead. Go through the door that was just opened. Take out any Spiders. Gates will come up, blocking you from heading to the exit. Head to the left. If you try to jump on the poles, you’ll get zapped. So turn invisible using the idol and swing across to the other side. You must do this 3 more times. This is the other Dark Eco Vent. Head through the opening. A door at the end of the hall opens, releasing Spiders. Take them out while heading through the door. Continue past the closed Light Eco Vent to the Oracle. There will be a scene. Now go to the beam of light. There will be a cutscene, and you receive Light Regeneration. Use it by holding L2 and pressing triangle. Use the Warp Gate to get back to the beginning of the temple. Exit and get into your Dune Hopper. Ride to the fist icon. Once you’re in the garage, exit the vehicle and continue to the fist icon. There will be a scene when you arrive. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.16 –Beat Turret Challenge- Climb up the ladder and use the turret. You must beat Kleiver’s score of 7000 points. R1 shoots the bullets. The controls are inverted; meaning up is down and down is up. You get 10 misses. A miss counts as the target falling back into the water. The red targets are the least amount of points, the blue are more, and the green targets are the most. If you shoot the targets while they’re farther away, you’ll get more points. X’s indicate where targets are coming from (which side they’re coming from) Some targets move across the screen quickly, so it’s harder to hit them. Most of them come from the water, though. After you beat the score, there’s a scene. You’ll receive a Light Eco Crystal. Go to the Arena (sword icon). Go in and go to the beam of light. There’s a scene and you receive the Vulcan Fury. Press the left arrow to use it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.17 –Defeat Marauders in Arena- Ride a platform down and go to the beam of light. Break the crates and a counter will appear. You must defeat 30 marauders. If you hear the alarm, jump on the platforms that rise from the lava. After you kill the last marauder, a scene will occur with a familiar face. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.18 –Destroy Eggs in Nest- Head to the icon. In the garage, get in vehicle with the beam around it. This is the Gila Stomper. Ride to the icon and there’s a cutscene. Head into the cave and through the tunnel. Take out the Pod Spiders as you ride. Go down the ramp and follow the path into another section. After you destroy the first Metal Head Egg, a counter will appear. You have 9 to go. The eggs appear as small green dots on your map. In the first room, there are 5 eggs. Shoot down the smaller eggs on the rock to make a bridge (the smaller eggs appear as smaller green dots). Head over the rock bridge and into a tunnel. Use this to get to the next room. There are 5 eggs in here and there’s a bridge with the smaller eggs attached. Shoot the eggs off before destroying the last egg. After shooting the last egg, the entire place fills with poisonous gas and you have 3 minutes to get out. The newly fallen bridge is a shortcut. Drive to the icon. When you get out of the poison gas range, Damas will contact you. Head to the garage (tire icon). Ashelin will contact you (she won’t if you didn’t complete missions 1.15 and 1.18). ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.19 –Defend Ashelin at Oasis- Note: You must have completed all of the previous missions to get this one. Hop in any of the vehicles with a beam of light. Go to the tree icon, get out of the vehicle, and walk up to Ashelin. There will be a scene. Now you must take out 60 marauders while defending Ashelin. She doesn’t really need defending, so concentrate on taking out the marauders. You also have to take out the vehicles driving around. After everything’s been destroyed or killed, walk over to Ashelin. There will be a scene and you receive the Jetboard and the Seal of Mar. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.20 –Complete Monk Temple Tests- Go to the garage and get the Dune Hopper. Ride to the temple (just follow the icon) and enter it. Go through the door that the eye was blocking. Go down the steps and take out any enemies. You can fill your Dark Eco meter by stepping into the Dark Eco Vent. Go to the room where the guns protected a button. Rotate the camera until you see a door with two circles. Go to it and there’s a scene. Go down the hall and take out any Metal Heads. A counter will appear while standing in front of the purple and blue token. It shows that you have to get 18 of these tokens. Collect the first one and move forward for instructions to mount your Jetboard (press R2). Collect the tokens in the water area. To get the second token, you must jump by hitting X. To get the 3rd token, perform a flip (X and left analog stick up or down). To get the 4th one, perform a Launch Jump (Hold L1 and press X). You should have 13 left. From the entrance stairs, go to the first opening on the left. Jump up and collect the token. Stay on the left side and ride up the ramp. Collect 3 tokens while riding down the hallway. There’s 9 left. Collect the token on the rail by grinding (hold square and move the left analog stick in the direction you want to grind). Ride down the hall avoiding and jumping over gaps. You should collect 2 tokens (6 left). Grind and jump to get the token (jump while holding down square to remain on the rail). Collect the 2 tokens down the hall. There’s 3 left. Go up the ramp exactly across from where you fell. Ride down the hall collecting 3 tokens. Jump and avoid the gaps. The final token opens the door. Launch Jump (L1 + X) to reach the opening. Now press R2 to dismount the Jetboard. Go down the hall and a door opens. You can charge at the Light Eco Vent. Go to the beam of light and there’s a scene. You’ll receive Light Jak Flash Freeze. Use the power (L2 + square) and jump across the spinning platforms (they’ll spin slowly). Go up the hall and up the steps. Grind the rail and ride down the hall and grind rail after jumping to reach it. Continue down the hall and jump over the gaps. Grind the rail, jump over the gap, and grind another rail. Go down the hall and charge with the Light Eco Vent. Use Flash Freeze to cross the beam. Avoid the fan blades. Use Flash Freeze and cross another beam. Do it once more. Head down the hallway and charge Light Eco. Use Flash Freeze before crossing the bridge. It will fall, so be fast when crossing. Go through the round opening. Hop on the elevator and watch the scene. Walk up to the vehicle and there will be another scene. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.21 –Travel Through Catacomb Subrails- Get in the vehicle by hitting triangle. To shoot, press R1. Your obstacles are: Holes in the track, large beams, electric beams that spin, enemy shooters, and flashing poles. There is a part where there is no upper half. Stay in the middle of the bottom. There’s another part where the vehicle flies of the track. Stay on the bottom half before flying off. There is another part where the upper half goes away and there’s a big hole in the middle of the bottom half, so ride diagonally towards the bottom. There’s a scene at the end of the ride. You receive Light Shield. Hold L2 and press circle to use it. Go through the opening near Pecker. There’s a scene on the elevator. Follow Pecker down the path. You can charge your Light Eco at the vent. Climb up the steps and follow Pecker. There’s a scene. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.22 –Explore Eco Mines- Shoot down the bridge and kill the enemies. Shoot down the next bridge, kill enemies, and shoot down yet another bridge. More enemies. Cross over the tracks and head down the steps. Ride the elevator platform, quickly shoot down the bridge and go across (the platform quickly falls). Kill the enemies and head up the path. There’ll be 3 Metal Heads for you to kill. Shoot down the bridge and get on the elevator. Kill the enemy Metal Heads and pass through the electrical gate. There are more enemies. Follow the path and jump across the platforms. Kill the enemies, go over the track, up the ramp, and through the electrical gate. There are more Metal Heads. Go down the elevator platform. It will not fall. More enemies. Another elevator. Go up the 2 steps and charge at the Light Eco Vent. There’s another elevator platform, which doesn’t fall. Spin Attack an orange rat into the curved opening (it’s a wheel). The wheel will rise and there will be a short scene. Climb down the new platforms. There will be enemies. Go down the ramp and across the platforms. Even more enemies. Spin Attack another rat into the wheel for a brief scene. Go up the platforms and take out the enemies. Go up the ramps and send a rat into the wheel. Jump across the moving drill platforms and take out the enemies. Send another rat running in the wheel. Hop on the platform, wait until it reaches the other side, and hop off. Do this one more time. There will be enemies AGAIN. Hit a rat up the ramp and into another wheel. There’s a brief scene and you can hop up the platforms. Walk forward and there’ll be another scene. You receive the Greaves. Head down the path and go into the bam of light and hit the switch. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.23 –Escort Bomb Train- I suggest you use the Beam Reflexor. Hit X, circle, and R1. This sends shots flying and bouncing off the walls. After bouncing a couple of times, the shots will hit the red target and the track will fall. A timer counts down how much time the bomb train has until if falls off the track. The path is pretty straightforward. Hit all the red targets as you go. Again, I suggest the Beam Reflexor. It takes out the enemies, too. You have to mount your Jetboard and grind rails twice while escorting the train. Some platforms that you have to jump on move in and out, so the wall could push you off. After you shoot the last red target, there will be a scene. Shoot the bridges down and go in where the bomb train crashed. Stop on the elevator. Follow the tracks and you’ll see a scene. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.24 –Defeat Veger’s Precursor Robot- During the first round, you must jump over two red shockwaves. You also have to jump over the robot’s red blade twice as he slices back and forth and destroy two enemies. Now the robot will shoot lasers that build up rock platforms. Jump to the second highest or the highest platform after the rocks cool. The robot will shoot blue missiles at you! Shoot down a train and it comes crashing down on the robot. The process repeats only with 3 waves to jump over, 3 slices of the red blade, 3 enemies, and then you must shoot down another train. During the final process, you must jump over 4 shockwaves that come faster than the first two times, double jump 3 times over the double blade, fight three enemies, and shoot down the last train. After you shoot it down, there is a scene and you receive the Arc Wielder. Go through 2 doors and watch the cutscene. You’re in Haven City. Go to the Samos icon and there will be a scene. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.0 –The Walkthrough Act 2- After a couple hours of game play, you’re in Act 2! After the 24, long, grueling missions, you enter part 2 of 3 in the game. Now you must go through 25 missions. READ THIS!!! *Note: How to start a mission is explained in the previous mission. There’s usually a scene or someone contacting you. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.1 –Reach Port via Sewer- Head to the manhole icon. Enter the door and there’s a scene as you go down the elevator. Enter the door and kill the Metal Heads. Go down the path and use the Jetboard on the half-pipe. Go through the opening on the left side. Go down the tunnel and through the door. Kill the frogs and get on your Jetboard. Here you must Jetboard around gaps in the floor. There is an opening down the path on the left side that you have to skate through. Make a right and go through another opening. It’s not where the waterfall is. After you kill the frogs, a gate opens. Jetboard up the ramp and through the gate. Grind the rail and shoot the fans while avoiding the spike fish. Skate up the ramps avoiding the fish and whirlpools. Go down the big ramp and kill enemies. A rail lowers. Grind across it, avoid the whirlpool, and go up the ramp. Avoid this whirlpool and shoot the fans. There are more whirlpools. Skate up the ramp and kill Metal Heads. Follow the path while killing enemies. Kill the frogs in the next room. Head left and kill more Metal Heads. Follow the path while killing Metal Heads. Go up the steps and go through the door. While getting on the elevator, there’s a scene. Exit through the metal door and go to the Naughty Ottsel icon. Go through the door and there’s a scene. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.2 –Destroy Incoming Blast Bots- Blast Bots are huge robots. They shoot lasers and fire bombs, which you can spin back at the robots for damage. The Blast Bots appear as green dots on your map. If a Blast Bot gets to close to the Naughty Ottsel, a timer will appear. You must destroy it before time runs out. I suggest using the Arc Wielder with the Robot Shock secret (purchase it in the Secrets menu for 8 Precursor Orbs). The Blast Bots will explode after taking heavy damage. After 3 are destroyed, go back to the Naughty Ottsel and there will be a scene. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.3 –Destroy Barrier with Missile- Walk to the beam of light to get on the missile. Daxter rides it. Don’t run into any large objects (walls, mines, floating boats, bridges, etc.). You must collect all the tokens. Press X to jump. The tokens appear as green dots on your map. They are surrounded by a beam of light. The missile goes by itself; don’t worry about making it go. After you reach the final beam of light, there’s a scene. Now you have a choice. You can complete a gun course or destroy sniper cannons. This guide lists missions in order. The next mission is the gun course, so that’s what’s listed next. Go to the green icon, go through the door, and walk to Tess. There’s a scene. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.4 –Beat Gun Course 1- Shoot the robots. The gold robots are extra points. Don’t shoot the citizens or you’ll lose points. Your goal is 10,000 points. The biggest robots take two hits to destroy. The smallest robots explode. There’s a robot that will shoot at you, too. After you finish (if you reached 10,000), there’s a scene and you’ll receive the Gyro Burster. Go to the Naughty Ottsel and there’s a scene. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.5 –Destroy Sniper Cannons- Exit the Ottsel. The sniper cannons are marked on your map as red dots. Go to one of the red dots. The cannons are up on the higher path of the Industrial Zone. There will be a different screen that shows you the cannons’ aim. To press the buttons, use X + square. After pressing all the buttons connected to a cannon, attack the wheel thing that comes up. If you don’t hurry, the buttons will come back up and you’ll have to press them again. When you’ve destroyed all the cannons, go back to the Naughty Ottsel and walk to Torn for a scene (scene will not occur if you didn’t complete the gun course mission along with this one). ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.6 –Reach Metal Head Area via Sewer- Exit the Ottsel and head to the manhole icon. Enter the door for a scene. Go across the bridge and go to the right. There are 3 toxic gas platforms here that you must jump across. Don’t jump while the green gas is blowing out of them. Follow the path and jump across the single toxic gas platform and continue down the path. Enter the door and kill the robots. Go down the hall and hop across 3 toxic gas platforms. Shoot the fan and the robot. Continue and shoot 2 more robots. Jump across 2 toxic gas platforms and kill the robot. Go down the ramp and kill 3 flying robots while on the moving platform up ahead. Jump over the moving electric beams and get off the platform when it gets to the end of the path. Kill any robots in here and continue. Go through the electric gate (it’s off right now). Kill all the flying robots that come up. Go through the electric gate that was just turned off. Kill small robots until the next gate is turned off. Go through the gate and onto the platform. It moves. Jump over the electrical beam. A gun will shoot bullets at you. Jump over them and jump off when you reach the |
