To get get mystery goo from white mushrooms you have to use thunder, fire, and blizzard in any order but it has to be wanting fire, blizzard, or thunder when you do the white mushroom will give you mystery goo and a fire shard, thunder shard, or a blizzard shard depending what you end on.
