The plot analysis for Kingdom Hearts is complete. It should detail much of the
story, but even though I know Kingdom Hearts pretty well, I'm gonna try and
make it as simple and good as it can get, so it's far from the final version.
Still, it's well on the way.

Hello, and welcome to my Kingdom Hearts Plot Analysis guide. I was just
recently intending to write a guide to Kingdom Hearts, co-authored with my
friend Gobicamel, but I decided to do something else before I handled that. So
that's where I got started on writing for one of my favorite games, and I
decided that I'd just test myself and do a plot analysis, since certain parts
of Kingdom Hearts can be quite confusing, and thus I wish to make it simpler
for people going through Kingdom Hearts. I do hope that anyone reading this
guide finds it useful. =)
The guide will go around somewhat like this: first I'll start off with this
bloody piece of raw meat... whoops, I mean the introduction. Then I'll provide
you information about the game, the disclaimer for legal purposes, then I'll go
on to rules in which you should follow if you wish to contact me. Then the plot
analysis begins. What I will do is detail everything that happens, and you
know, anything confusing will likely not be after a while. Then, since there
are sequels coming out, I'll tell you about the plans, then go to Frequently
Asked Questions. Then we come to a conclusion, and I'll thank anyone who helped
me in any way.
Before I proceed with the guide, I will inform you that this walkthrough is
totally littered full of spoilers. Just about every bit of detail that happens
will be covered around here. I strongly caution you before heading beyond where
you are in this game, otherwise you may have it completely spoiled. I am not
responsible if you find that you found out a little more than you wanted to
find out... anyway, enough of that stuff. Hope you enjoy my guide, since it's
the best I can try to bring.

Kingdom Hearts is the first of hopefully several projects that Square and
Disney will team up to do. The game itself is an action-RPG type of game.
Unlike the turn-based system of the Final Fantasy games, Kingdom Hearts has
real action battles. The game itself was released around October 2002, and is
in my opinion one of the better PS2 titles out there. Kingdom Hearts itself has
several characters from the Final Fantasy series, a variety of Disney
characters (over 100 of them) and some all-new characters (Sora, Kairi, and
Riku).

I love getting good emails, so you're free to email me with a question any
time, but I will not answer questions already answered in this FAQ. I prefer
e-mails with good grammar, and subjects with Kingdom Hearts  or I will delete them, sorry.

Here, I'll just tell you all that you'll need to know about some of the
characters. WATCH OUT before you read this thoroughly though! It is full to the
bone of spoilers. Turn back now while you still can.
Sora
-----
Sora is the main character of the game, and as it begins he wishes to travel to
other worlds and see what they're like, but eventually, his island ends up
destroyed and Kairi's heart rests inside him. He then meets up with Donald and
Goofy in Traverse Town, and together they embark on a journey. From the time of
the island being destroyed to the point where he met Kairi again, Sora didn't
realize that Kairi was inside him, and he had the last heart to fulfil
Maleficent's evil plan.
Kairi
------
Kairi is a young girl who came to Destiny Islands five years ago, although Sora
had no idea where Kairi came from when she was there. When the island was
destroyed, she was attacked by Heartless and she lost her heart, and then it
went to Sora. It turns out, around the end of the game, that she is one of the
princesses of heart, together with Alice, Cinderella, Snow White, Belle,
Aurora, and Jasmine. When the final heart is needed, Maleficent needs to take
care of Sora...
Riku
-----
Riku was always the strongest of the three on Destiny Islands, but when the
island was destroyed, he disappeared. He then heard that Sora was the master of
the Keyblade, and he became incredibly jealous. So much that when he was
offered by Maleficent to join her in her evil plans, he overlooked the darkness
in her and joined her. Riku then became more jealous, so much as that he
controlled the Heartless to try and kill Sora, and Ansem in his dark hood
tricked Riku into losing his heart to him, and then he became possessed.
Donald
-------
Donald is the High Magician of Disney Castle, who embarks on a journey through
other worlds with Goofy when King Mickey disappears from Disney Castle. Donald
attacks with magic, but besides that there is little to be told about Donald,
since he isn't one of the characters who totally changes the plot or anything.
Goofy
------
Goofy is a Knight Captain of Disney Castle, who embarks on a journey through
other worlds with Donald when King Mickey disappears from Disney Castle. Goofy
attacks physically and with shield techniques, but besides that there is little
to be told about Goofy, since he isn't one of the characters who totally
changes the plot or anything.
King Mickey
------------
King Mickey is one of the characters whom little is told about. He leaves
Disney Castle to see what's going on when the Heartless start taking stars out,
and Donald and Goofy venture to see where he went. King Mickey is later
discovered to have found another Keyblade and have entered the door of pure
light -- Kingdom Hearts.
Ansem
------
Ansem -- the seeker of darkness. Ansem used to be a scholar who was studying
the Heartless and the darkness, trying to find a way to defeat them. But
eventually, the Heartless filled his heart full of darkness, and then Ansem had
no will but to destroy and to find Kingdom Hearts, so he could bring the entire
world into darkness. He even tried to trick Riku into giving him his heart, so
he could use him to unlock the large Keyhole in Hollow Bastion.

Sora woke up at the foot of a beach, and then across the water, he saw Riku
holding out his hand to him. Sora then ran to him, but then the water gets a
tad bit too strong, and then went up and under them. He woke up again in the
water, where Kairi awaits him at the beach. Then, Sora makes it to the beach
but then, he suddenly saw himself falling down, and then he fell deep into the
water, and then he ended up in a strange area with pictures of Snow White and
the seven dwarves. A mysterious voice then told Sora to step forward. Sora was
chosen to fight the Heartless.
To begin fighting them, Sora is then asked to choose his power inside a sword,
a shield, and a staff. Sora then chooses one, and then the voice asks him to
throw one power away. Sora chooses another one, and then he gains the power of
what he chose - if he chose the sword, he gained power, if he chose the shield,
he gained defense, and if he chose the staff, he gained magic power. After the
power is gained and lost, he tried out his attack, and several Heartless
Shadows appeared. Sora then used his sword/shield/staff and defeated all of
them.
The room then shattered, and Sora was taken to a rainbow or stained glass
colored room. In front of him was a door, which couldn't be opened. He then
found a treasure chests, opened it and collected a Potion. Then a crate and a
barrel appeared. Sora smashed them and then the door in front of him opened. He
went through, and then was engulfed in light. He then appeared in the Destiny
Islands, and saw his friends Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie. Tidus and Wakka are
from Final Fantasy X, and Selphie was from Final Fantasy VIII. Kingdom Hearts
seemingly takes place before FF7, FF8, or FFX.
Sora then talks to Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie, who asked him what was important
to him, what he feared most, and what he wanted. Then, after Sora replied it
was chosen how quickly he would strengthen, and when he would. A path then
opened, leading him further. Sora then crossed the bridge, and suddenly his
shadow appeared behind him, and it formed to create a large, dark Heartless.
Sora then fought with the Darkside Heartless. The Heartless were defeated by
the power of Sora's heart, but then Heartless swallowed Sora. But the voice
then said he would open the door. The door of light.

When Sora was swallowed by the Darkside, he appeared back at Destiny Islands,
in front of Kairi. Kairi then told him to get up and start working, as Sora
asked her where she was from, although Kairi didn't remember. Riku then brought
a raft (not yet built). Sora, Riku, and Kairi were intent on building a raft
and getting off of Destiny Islands, to see new worlds. Thus it began... Sora
then needed to collect some parts for the raft. While he was at it, Tidus,
Wakka, Selphie, and Riku offered him duels. He got stronger while fighting.
Then, Sora collected the parts and gave them to Kairi. Then, that day was over.
That night, before all going home, Kairi asked them what they'd do in new
worlds. Riku had his own plans, and then thanked Kairi for getting him started.
Then, the three got some rest. Meanwhile, something has been going on at the
Disney Castle... Donald walked up to King Mickey's room that morning, and then
he found King Mickey's throne... but no King Mickey! Behind his throne,
Mickey's dog Pluto appeared with a letter in his mouth. Donald then read the
letter, and proceeded to go quackers all over the castle. Then he found Goofy
outside, asleep. Donald tried to awaken Goofy with his loud voice, but was then
forced to cast Thunder to awaken him. After that, back to Sora.
When they woke up the next morning and went to the island, Kairi decided to get
the food. Then Sora needed to collect 3 mushrooms, 3 fish, 2 coconuts, an egg,
and water. He found two mushrooms in dark areas, 3 fish in the water, 2
coconuts in trees, an egg on top of a tree, and water from a fresh waterfall.
As for the remaining mushroom, Sora went to a secret place under the trees. In
this dark cave, Sora went forward and saw the door that he had always wondered
about. The door itself was connected to several different worlds, but didn't
have a handle, a keyhole, or anything.
Sora collected a mushroom there, and then sat down and thought about when he
first met Kairi, when they were younger. Suddenly, a dark, hooded figure
appeared near the door. This figure was Ansem, the seeker of darkness. He
wished to take the world into everlasting darkness, but he wasn't revealing his
true form quite yet. Ansem then told Sora of how little he knew and understood,
and how meaningless his journey was. The reason Ansem told Sora that his
journey was meaningless was that he believed that darkness conquered all,
although Sora knew that light was the strength. Ansem then disappeared and left
Sora alone inside the cave.
Then, Sora brought the food to Kairi, and then it was called a day yet again,
and tomorrow they would sail. Kairi then told Sora of how much Riku had
changed. He was indeed changing, since he did seem to be determined to get to
other worlds. Sora then promised Kairi never to change, which ended that. Then
it was over to Disney Castle. The letter was read. It was written by King
Mickey, addressing that he had left the castle, because the stars were going
out, meaning that disaster was coming. Mickey left to see what was coming up,
but told Donald to find the one who had a key.
Queen Minnie then decided to let High Magician Donald and Captain Goofy go and
see if they could find the person with a key. Minnie then made a small cricket
called Jiminy come along with them, and then Donald and Goofy got inside a ship
and took it to Traverse Town, with the help of the chipmunks engineers, Chip
and Dale. Sora was lying in bed at home, at the time. Sora's mom called him to
dinner, as Sora looked out the window a little and thought about him and Kairi
setting sail together. All of a sudden, a large dark ball of energy appeared
over the island.
Kairi, who was still out, was there at the time, and the Heartless took her
heart. Sora jumped out the window of his house and got to the island, and saw
Kairi and Riku's boats... empty! The Heartless appeared around Sora, although
since he had only a wooden sword, he had no hope of fighting them over. Sora
then made his way to the top of the island, where Riku was waiting. Riku seemed
to know everything that was happening, knowing that the island was soon to be
destroyed, and how it was being devoured by darkness. Riku himself was then
taken away by darkness, and then the mysterious voice helped Sora out and
gifted him with a Keyblade, the weapon he needed to fight the Heartless.
Using the Keyblade, Sora was able to defeat the Heartless. He then went over to
the secret place, in which had become a door. He passed through the cave and
found Kairi, who had been severely weakened. The Heartless had already taken
her heart. She then passed through Sora, and then she too was devoured by the
darkness. After that, the island was destroyed by the Heartless. All that was
remaining was a small piece of land, where a Darkside Heartless awaited Sora.
He then fought a battle with the large Darkside Heartless, and afterwards a
large, dark ball of energy sucked all of Destiny Islands up, Sora and all.

Sora then woke up near some barrels in a new world. Donald and Goofy then
passed, realizing that a star was going out. Goofy saw someone over the corner
where Sora was, but knowing Goofy's average intelligence, Donald ignored him
and continued. Goofy then urged Pluto to follow, but being a dog and having a
good sense of smell, Pluto sniffed Sora out. He then thought it was a dream,
but then Pluto smashed his paws down on Sora to wake him up well, and Sora
realized that it wasn't a dream. As he walked a few steps forward, he realized
this wasn't his island, or anywhere near. It was another world.
As he went through the first district of the mysterious world, he happened to
stop by an equipment shop nearby. A young man named Cid then introduced himself
and told Sora that this sure as heck wasn't his island, and it sure wasn't
anywhere close. Sora then went out, and took a door upstairs, and behind the
equipment shop, and arrived at the second district. A man was then attacked and
fell to the ground, losing his heart. It was the Heartless, yet again. Sora
then went back to the first district, only to find it was overrun by Heartless
too. He then went back to Cid's shop and left to find a man outside.
The man then tells Sora that the Heartless will keep coming for Sora, as long
as he wields the Keyblade, then he registers his astonishment on how the
Keyblade chose a kid. Sora gets very confused on the stuff about the Keyblade
"choosing" him, and then the man (named Leon, or Squall from Final Fantasy
VIII) demanded that Sora handed over the Keyblade. Sora refused, and then Leon
got angry and dueled with Sora. After the battle, whether Sora won or not, he
then fell to the ground, unconscious. A female ninja then talked to Leon, and
then Sora woke up again in the hotel.
Meanwhile, Donald and Goofy were roaming the street, looking for the keyblade
master. Aerith (Aeris from FFVII) then tickles Donald on the back, which causes
him to freak out and grab Goofy's back. Aerith then asks them if the king sent
them, and apparently she then led them over to the hotel, seeing that Sora had
the key, and she knew about their job. Then, Sora wakes up very drowsy, and
then sees what he believes was Kairi. The reason the Heartless kept appearing
around Sora was because he wields the Keyblade. And they seek out Sora's heart,
because he wields the Keyblade. That draws them.
Sora then finds out that he was the chosen one to wield the Keyblade. To fight
the Heartless. Also, Sora got to Traverse Town because the Heartless broke down
the barrier between the different worlds, which explained how they attacked
Destiny Islands. Ansem, a mysterious being, apparently also studied the
Heartless a long time ago, but was then lost. He recorded his discoveries of
the Heartless in a report, but the pages are lost throughout the worlds.
However, Ansem had studied the Heartless too much, and lost his heart to
darkness. Still, he appeared in Destiny Islands.
All of a sudden, Sora's heart was strong and drew the Heartless. Leon, Yuffie,
and Sora then left the room and jumped over to Aerith's room, with Donald and
Goofy. After that, Donald and Goofy went off to find the leader of the
Heartless in Traverse Town, while Yuffie and Aeris stayed. Leon went off to the
First District, and Sora also went over to the Third District. Eventually he
got there, and then Donald and Goofy were attacked and fell on Sora. Then they
recognized Sora as the key-bearer, and after the Heartless in the town were
destroyed, a large piece of Heartless armor landed down and attacked.
Eventually, the Guard Armor was defeated, although not destroyed. As they had
orders from the king, Donald and Goofy had to go with Sora to find him. Sora
agreed to go, and then he tried to cheer up. After all, he did want to go on
their ship to other worlds and find Riku and Kairi. But meanwhile... a band of
evil Disney characters were watching the three. Maleficent, the mistress of
darkness and evil, then intended on using Sora for her evil plans... and for
tricking him into joining. Sora didn't know he was being watched, though. And
thus, Sora, Donald, and Goofy set a course to the Coliseum.

When they arrived at the Coliseum, the trio marched inside and found a small
character working. Sora spoke to him, and was given orders to push a pedestral
over to him (Phil). Sora then tried, but couldn't push it. Sora spoke to Phil
again, telling him how heavy it was, and then Phil turned around and saw Sora,
Donald, and Goofy, thinking that it was Hercules who had come around. Phil then
told them to shove off, since he was preparing stuff for a competition of
heroes versus Heartless in the Olympus Coliseum. Donald then knocked some sense
into Phil, telling him that the trio were heroes.
Phil still didn't buy them, even though he himself couldn't push the pedestral.
He then challenged Sora to a game of smashing crates. After Sora managed this
twice, Phil gave Sora the Thunder spell, refused him, and told him to go away.
As Sora walked out, rather disappointed, a strange man in a black robe arrived.
Hades. Hades then gave Sora a pass to the tournament. But why? Why would an
evil person such as Hades give Sora a pass? Sora didn't know it at the time,
but Hades was an evil enemy intent on getting Sora killed in the tournament,
and then dealing with Hercules.
Sora showed the pass to Phil, who immediately put him inside the tournament. He
then managed to defeat a few Heartless. Phil then spoke to him a little, and
then a man with spiky blond hair, and a silent mood passed by. Cloud from Final
Fantasy VII. Phil, although not knowing about Hades' evil plans, knew that
Cloud and Sora would end up facing each other, and that Cloud would be a tough
one to beat. After that, the next match began. After two rounds were won, Phil
then mentioned Hercules, wishing that he was here. Then rounds four and five
were won. Hades was just watching this all...
As Sora was dancing in victory to beating the fifth round, Hades was in a dark
cell, watching their all. Cloud was there as well, and Hades then ordered Cloud
to defeat Sora. As the great lord of the Underworld, it was quite surprising
that Hades wasn't just taking Sora on by himself. Then Hades revealed that he
wanted Cloud to kill Hercules. As Hades was babbling on, Cloud just walked away
and left, with Hades deeming him as "stiffer than the stiffs back home". After
that, Sora beat a large, fat Heartless and a few magical ones, and then Sora
and Cloud ended up against each other.
Cloud was shortly defeated by Sora, and then as he lay there wounded, Hades
became infuriated and brought out the great Guardian of the Underworld:
Cerberus. A three headed demon dog from hell, as it was deemed from Final
Fantasy VIII. Hercules then arrived, and tried to take on Cerberus, as Cloud
was carried out. Sora, Donald, and Goofy were also pushed out of the Coliseum,
but then Sora demanded Phil to let him take on Cerberus. Phil unexpectedly let
him, and then Hercules, who was losing anyway but took down a little bit of
Cerberus's health, then fled. Sora and his two companions won the battle.
Phil then dubbed the trio as junior heroes, which first of all made Donald
angry. But Hercules then told them that they'd have to find out how to become
heroes by themselves, just like he did. However, the games weren't for a while,
so Sora and co. left, promising to come back for the next one. Phil then shared
his surprise of Sora defeating Cerberus. As he was leaving, Sora found Cloud
sitting down. Hades had tricked Cloud into doing evil deeds, and getting the
darkness into his heart. Cloud was also searching for someone (Sephiroth), and
Hades had promised to help.
Then, Sora was granted one of Cloud's abilities, the Sonic Blade. Cloud then
went forward to search for the light, and then Sora, Donald, and Goofy departed
to the Gummi Ship and set a course for Wonderland. When it became dark, Hades
was still around, extremely angry about Sora's victory over Cerberus. Hades
then looked at a picture of Hercules, and got even more infuriated. He then
decided to let Hercules train Sora, and then in the next games he would kill
both of them. After that, Maleficent passed by, and then let Hades fight to his
heart's content against Sora.

The three fell into a secret room of Wonderland, and then they saw a White
Rabbit running down the hall, as he appeared to be late for something. Sora
then followed, and they came to a small room with a doorknob on a huge door.
The White Rabbit, looking very small, ran through a tiny door. Sora talked to
the doorknob, asking how he got so small. The doorknob, who could talk, then
just said sleepily that Sora was too big, and then it went back to sleep. After
that, a bottle appeared on the table behind them. Suddenly, a large group of
Heartless appeared, although they were nothing on Donald's magic.
After all the Heartless were gone from the room for a small time, Sora drank
the bottle and while he was big, pushed a bed to reveal a small door, and then
they entered the Queen's court. A girl named Alice was trapped inside a cage,
and was found guilty as charged for apparently stealing the Queen's heart
(although obviously, it was the Heartless who did this). Sora then rushed to
Alice's defense, and offered to bring back evidence of the culprit, showing how
Alice was innocent. So then the Queen let him, and the trio walked into the
woods.
A Cheshire Cat appeared, telling Sora that he could find four pieces of
evidence. Three easy, and one hard. After Sora found them all, the Cheshire Cat
granted Sora with the ability to use ice magic and cast Blizzard. Then Sora
went back to the Queen's court, and asked one of the cards to let him show the
evidence to the Queen. Sora brought five boxes of evidence, but the Queen only
let him take one. One of the boxes opened and revealed something random (Alice,
Sora, Donald and Goofy, the Queen of Hearts, or a Heartless), but nonetheless,
the Queen then ordered the Cards to do off with Sora's head.
Once the battle began, Alice's cage was taken to the top of the court.
Meanwhile, Maleficent came along and took Alice, for her own reasons. However,
no one knew this at the time. Sora then destroyed the tower near the Cards, and
the cage went down, without Alice! The cards then went back to their positions,
and the Queen ordered Sora to immediately find out who on earth did this. Sora
then went into the woods, and Donald asks the Cheshire Cat if he's seen Alice.
The sly cat hasn't seen Alice, but it has seen shadows of Heartless. Then Sora
enters the Bizarre Room, and gets on the ceiling.
Inside the room, there are two lamps, and another large horde of Heartless.
After Donald and Goofy deal with them, using shield techniques and fire/ice
magic, Sora turns both lamps on, and a shadow appears on the floor of the
Bizarre Room. Sora then backtracks over to the floor, and there they fight a
large shadow Heartless called the Trickmaster. After it is defeated, the
Doorknob wakes up, and then yawns. When its mouth opens, a keyhole is revealed.
Suddenly, Sora emits a beam from the Keyblade, and a door is heard closing.
After that, the world is locked away from the Heartless.
Once the Keyhole is sealed, the Doorknob drops a mysterious gummi piece, unlike
any others. The Cheshire Cat appears, after his true enjoyment of the fight
between the Trickmaster and Sora. He then tells them that Alice has been taken
off to the darkness, so she's obviously in another world. That finishes off
Wonderland.

As Sora, Donald, and Goofy got out of Wonderland and drove in the direction of
Deep Jungle, Donald accidentally crashed the gummi ship right into a jungle,
and then Sora found himself inside a tree house, and Mickey, Kairi, Riku,
Donald, and Goofy were nowhere to be found. As he sat there wondering where
they were, all of a sudden a large jaguar came out and attacked Sora! Whether
the jaguar or Sora won the battle, a man named Tarzan (remember him from
Disney?) then appeared and took care of the jaguar (Sabor). Sora then tried to
tell Tarzan that he was looking for Kairi and Riku.
Then Kairi passes by! As Sora tries to get up and look, he realizes he was only
hallucinating. Tarzan then understands Sora in that he's trying to look for
Riku, and then he says: "*&&X%". Tarzan, since he does live with the gorilla
tribe, was speaking in gorilla language. *&&X% is gorilla for "heart", although
this isn't currently known. Meanwhile... Donald and Goofy are right outside a
tent, separate from Sora. A gorilla then appears, and then a hunter named
Clayton follows. This very strange man then takes Donald and Goofy inside the
tent.
Sora and Tarzan then make their way down to the tent. When they get there, they
collected slides, and then entered, where they meet Tarzan's wife, Jane.
Clayton then brings in Donald and Goofy. Clayton made a few rude remarks, but
it is believed at this moment that Clayton is a friend. However, Clayton has
been out hunting the gorillas. He has lost his heart to the darkness and the
Heartless, making him an evil man with nasty plans. Sora, Jane, Donald, Goofy,
and Tarzan then watched the slides, trying to make some sense out of Tarzan's
mystery word.
Inside the slides, Sora sees a very familiar looking area... the tower of
Hollow Bastion. Sora then asks where Kairi and Riku are, but then Clayton says
that they aren't here. Goofy had found a gummi though, which hinted that King
Mickey could be here. Tarzan then offers to go with Sora, Donald, and Goofy to
meet Kerchak, the leader of the gorillas, inside the jungle. Clayton then
grinned mischeviously and walked out. After that, they went over to the tree
house that Sora began in. A little before that, Tarzan ran into Kerchak, who
didn't listen to anything he had to say.
When they reach the tree house, a gorilla named Terk is playing, then all of a
sudden, Clayton tries to shoot, although he missed Terk by several inches, as
he was interrupted by a loud screech from Donald. Clayton then tried to make up
an excuse that he was aiming at a snake and saving the gorilla's life, although
everyone knew he was just trying to hunt the gorillas down. Clayton then goes
over to the tent at the bottom of the area. Sora then made his way back down to
the tent, but he was attacked by Sabor at the bottom. Still, Donald's magic,
Tarzan's power, and Sora's awesome Keyblade beat him easily.
Once they got inside, Clayton was receiving a large scolding from Jane. He was
then forbidden from ever going near the gorillas again. He then went outside,
and then thinking that Sora couldn't hear him, he then growled to himself that
he wished to hunt down all the gorillas. He then started smoking his pipe, and
then shot. He apparently didn't do anything with the gunshot though. Sora
walked outside and then voila - Heartless were appearing and attacking the
gorillas. Clayton had apparently summoned all the Heartless here to kill the
gorillas.
Tarzan and Sora then helped save all the gorillas, and then he went back to the
tent and talked to Jane. After that, they heard a gunshot go off. Sabor then
attacked again, but was no match for Sora and Tarzan. Sabor finally died... but
then Terk came running. He then went right into the tent and ran into Jane, in
fear. Clayton had probably been threatening to shoot, and then Terk ran off in
fear and got to the tent. After that, they went in and neither Terk not Jane
were inside. Tarzan then somehow knew that Jane was trapped inside the tree
house.
After that, Sora and Tarzan went back to climbing trees, and near the tree
house, they found a large black fruit, trapping Jane and Terk. They then
destroyed it, and then they were freed. The last thing that Jane could remember
was that Clayton had come to the tent, with hints that Clayton had kidnapped
both of them. After that, they went over to the Bamboo Thicket, and then they
saw Clayton, some Heartless, and all the poor gorillas in the whole place. It
was now that Tarzan knew it wasn't Clayton. He had lost his heart, and had to
be stopped. After that, Tarzan and Sora defeated all the Heartless.
Clayton then summoned a large, very hard to see, and strong Heartless, the
Stealth Sneak. Sora and Tarzan managed to get past Clayton's healing power and
then they beat the two, getting rid of them both. Sora then learned to cast
Cure. Kerchak then appeared, and in return for saving all the gorillas, he
threw Sora, Donald, and Goofy up the cliff. Tarzan then climbed up. After that,
the four make their way past waterfalls and get to the very top of the Deep
Jungle. After that, Jane appeared there. Clayton had lost his heart, which was
why he was using the Heartless.
Jane then realized that Tarzan's mystery word (*&&X%), meant heart. He meant
friends in the heart when he uttered sounds like a gorilla, making such
symbols. All of a sudden, a Keyhole then appears, and then Sora's Keyblade
emits a beam again, sealing another world from the Heartless, and then another
gummi appeared, although it wasn't King Mickey's. Mickey certainly isn't in
Deep Jungle. After that, Terk then appeared and jumped on Donald, having a new
admirer. =P Donald did now that Daisy would kill him if he brought Terk home
with him, though.
Sora, Donald, and Goofy didn't take Tarzan with them though, because there is a
rule that when you go to other worlds, you cannot do any kind of meddling, like
taking someone from that world with you. After that, it showed the dark place
where the villains Jafar, Oogie Boogie, Ursula, Captain Hook, and Maleficent
were. They knew that Clayton's heart was weak and he just let the Heartless get
control of them. Maleficent and the others also had another plan to unleash the
world into eternal darkness, using the hearts of seven princesses. The three
heroes then went to Traverse Town, thinking Leon might know something about the
gummi.

Back in Traverse Town, Sora used a Red Trinity ability he gained from Deep
Jungle to crash through a waterway in the Second District, and then they
entered a chamber and found Leon and Aerith inside. The two then tell them that
there's a Keyhole in every world, so Sora just has to seal all of them to keep
the Heartless away from them. Sora then shows Leon the Gummi, and Aerith
suggests to show it to Cid. After that, Leon gives Sora an Earthshine stone, to
take to the Fairy Godmother in Merlin's house at the Third District. First of
all though, Sora went back to the First District's Accessory Shop.
He showed the gummi to Cid, who told him that it was a navigation gummi, which
would enable him to travel to even more worlds. Cid then told Sora that he
would install it, but he told him to deliver a very old book first, to an empty
house at the Third District. So Sora took the book and then made his way over
to the Third District, and then cast a Fire spell on a door there, which made
it open. He then entered the house, and then saw an image of Kairi. Sora got
incredibly confused, and then noticed that it wasn't Kairi. Then a wizard named
Merlin entered the empty room.
Merlin then turned the room back into his study. He had been asked by King
Mickey to train Sora in magic. After doing so, Sora gave the book to Merlin.
The book had a secret, that when you put pages into it, it gets larger. You can
use the book to go over to the Hundred Acre Wood, and the more pages it gets,
the more areas in the Hundred Acre Wood are available. Sora then saw a carriage
at the upper-right of the room and opened it, and then it turned into the Fairy
Godmother, whom Sora showed the Earthshine to. Apparently, the Earthshine used
to be a creature.
A time ago, the creature in the Earthshine (Simba) had his world consumed into
darkness, but Simba kept on and had a strong heart, which made him turn into a
gem. This meant that Simba's body was gone, but his spirit lived on. The Fairy
Godmother then cast a spell on the Earthshine and turned him back, which made
Simba a summon. Merlin then told Sora to go back to Cid's Accessory Shop. Sora
then left the Magician's Study (originally the Empty House), and then outside
on the Third District, several Heartless appeared. But then they were all
defeated by none other than Riku.
Sora then poked his fingers into Riku's mouth and made him grin. After that, he
found out that Kairi was not with Riku. Riku then suggested that Kairi was
looking for them, but as he was talking a Heartless appeared behind him. Sora
then defeated it with his Keyblade. That was when Riku noticed Donald and
Goofy. Goofy then told Riku that Sora was the Keyblade master, which made Riku
jealous. He then took Sora's Keyblade and looked at it, although he tossed it
back. Then Donald ordered Sora not to let Riku come with them, because that
would be meddling. As they were talking, Riku then ran away!
The trio was still happy that Riku was safe, however. After that, they then
entered a small house nearby, and found Cid, Leon, Aerith, and Yuffie inside.
They then told Sora about a sorceress named Maleficent, who destroyed their
world nine years ago and is the reason that several Heartless are in Traverse
Town. As they were talking, Riku met Maleficent in the town, who was watching
Sora with Donald and Goofy. Maleficent then convinced Riku that Sora no longer
cared about him and while Riku spent all that time searching for him, Sora
simply replaced him with Donald and Goofy.
Maleficent then tricked Riku into coming with her. Riku, who's heart was heavy
with anger against Sora and would do anything to save Kairi, then agreed to
come with her. After that, Cid tells Sora that the navigation gummi is
installed on the ship, and this unlocked Agrabah, and beyond that, Monstro,
Atlantica, Halloween Town, and last but not least, Neverland. Then Cid gave
Sora the Warp Gummi, which allowed him to transport the gummi ship to any world
he's been to before. Cid then went back to the First District, and stopped
working at the Accessory Shop. Instead, he started selling gummis.
Aerith then told Sora that she was rather concerned about the bell that rang,
although Yuffie said that it was all boarded up and nobody could get to it. Cid
then suggested that Sora ring the bell a total of three times. So then, Sora
went back to the Second District and got to the roof of the gizmo shop, and
then rang the bell three times. After that, none other than a Keyhole appeared,
over in the Third District's courtyard. The trio then went there, but was
attacked by Guard Armor! After a very easy fight, Guard Armor's feet became its
arms and its arms became its feet, turning it into... Opposite Armor!
After a moderate fight, Sora then sent a beam through his Keyblade, sealing the
Keyhole and stopping the Heartless. After that, Sora gained the power of wind,
and got a Navi-G gummi. Before leaving though, Sora, Donald, and Goofy went to
the Accessory Shop, and sitting down on the floor was the wooden boy we all
know as Pinocchio. Jiminy, who just happened to be Pinocchio's conscience,
asked him what he was doing. Pinocchio DID want to become a real boy, but he
had to be good first. He then told a lie, which made his nose become longer.
After he told the truth though, it was all good. Sora then left for Agrabah.

Right before Sora, Donald, and Goofy got to Agrabah, Jafar and Maleficent were
there, who are both looking for a girl named Jasmine. Maleficent then gives
Jafar the full information about the final Keyhole, which you also learn just
by listening to them. The two are searching for the seven princesses of heart,
and trying to use them to unlock the final Keyhole in the Hollow Bastion and
then devour the world into endless darkness. Jafar then summoned several
Heartless and ordered them to find Jasmine, but Maleficent then gave him a
warning not to use them too much.
