Magic Intro (1.2) In Kingdom Hearts, one of the main things that will help you battle is the ability to preform magic. The magic includes shooting fire, ice, lightening, and other helpful elements. Here's how magic attacks work: You press down, X, and then select the attack you wish to use. OR... If you have some magic in the shortcut menu, hit R1 and then the corresponding button. How powerful your magic is depends on how much MP you have. The more MP you have, the more powerful your magic is. Now wasn't that magical 1. Magic Intro (1.2.1) I wish I could show you the Magic Gauge in ASCII Art, but I havn't quite learned how to make round ASCII Art. Maybe one day. Any way, it's part of the thing that the HP gauge is on. Actually, on the gauge it's right above the HP. It's the blue bar that is divided into little half inch segments. Within that blue bar is a yellow bar. that is the Charge Gauge. It tells you how much magic is left in each blue segment. Everytime you use a magic consuming attack, the yellow bar descreases. Once one yellow bar is gone, a new pops up (full) and one blue segments dissapears. Once allof the blue segments dissapear, you can't use magic until you or a party memeber uses a MP restoring item on you. Also, you can refill the blue segments by letting time pass or doing a good block attack. II. Meet The Magics! (2.0) Here I explain the magic attacks, what they do and where you can find them. A. Fire Magic (1 Charge unit)(2.1) The three levels of the fire magic are: Fire, Fira, Firaga. Fire: Shoots a small burst of flame. Fira: Shoots a medium sized burst of flame. Firaga: Shoots a very large sized burst of flame. Uses for this magic: Attacking enemies, lighting stuff, opening things. The cool thing about this magic attack is the fact that you can use it similar to how you would use a machine gun, firing rapid bursts of flame. Here's Where You Can Get Them: Fire: Get it at Traverse Town by beating Guard Armor Fira: Get it in Agrabah after you defeat Jafar the second time. Firaga: Get it at Hollow Bastion after you seal the key hole. B. Ice Magic (1 Charge Unit) (2.2) The three levels of the ice magic are: Blizzard, Blizzara, Blizzaga. Blizzard: Shoots a wave of ice a short distance. Blizzara: Shoots a wave of ice a farther than blizzard. Blizzaga: Shoots a wave of ice a long distance. Uses for this magic: Attacking enemies, putting out fires. Here's Where You Can Get Them: Blizzard: Get it in Wonderland after you collect claw marks evidence or seal the key hole. Blizzara: Get it in Agrabah after you beat Jafar the first time. Blizzaga: Get it at Olympus Coliseum after you beat the bohemoth in the Hades Cup. C. Electric Magic (1MP) (2.3) The three levels of the electric magic are: Thunder, Thundera, Thundaga Thunder: Causes a small storm of lightning to zap the surrounding area. Thundera: Causes a medium sized storm of lightning to zap the surrounding area. Thundaga: Causes a large storm of lightning to zap the surrounding area. Uses for this magic: Attacking enemies, This attack is cool because it takes multiple enemies at once. Here's Where You Can Get Them: Thunder: Get it at Olympus Coliseum after you beat the barrel challenge. Thundera: Get it at Atlantica after you beat Ursula the second time. Thundaga: Get it at Olympus Coliseum after you beat Carabarus in the Hades Cup D. Healing Magic (1MP) (2.4) The three levels of the healing magic are: Cure, Cura, Curaga. Cure: Heals one character a little bit. Cura: Heals one character a little more than Cure does. Curaga: Significantly heals one character. This magic is very helpful when fighting bosses and during tournaments. Here's Where You Can Get Them: Cure: Get it in the Deep Jungle after you defeat Clayton. Cura: Get it in Neverland automatically on the ship deck. Curaga: Get it in the library in Hollow Bastion after talking to Aerith three times. E. Gravity Magic (1MP) (2.5) The three levels of gravity magic are: Gravity, Gravira, Graviga. Gravity: Takes a percentage of health from an enemy. Gravira: Takes a percentage of health from an enemy. A wider attack than gravity. Graviga: Takes a percentage of health from an enemy. A wider attack than gravira. This magic is also good for forcing flying or hovering things to the ground. Here's Where You Can Get Them: Gravity: Get it at Olympus Coliseum after you beat Phil Cup Gravira: Get it in Halloween Town after you seal the key hole. Graviga: Get it in Olympus Coliseum after you beat Hades in the Hades Cup. F. Time Magic (2MP) (2.6) Stop: Prevents an enemy from moving for a little bit. Stopra: Prevents an enemy from moving for a little bit. Wider attack than stop. Stopga: Prevents an enemy from moving for a little bit. Wider attack than stopra. This is helpful for attacking those enemies who just won't sit still. It's also good for making a quick escape. NOTE: STOP DOES NOT WORK ON BOSSES! Here's Where You Can Get Them: Stop: Get it in Monstro after you defeat the Parasite Cage the second time. Stopra: Get it in Hundre Acre Wood by completing Pooh's Swing mini game by finding Eeyore's tail, and the Torn Page. Stopga: Get it in Neverland after beating Phantom Sora. G. Wind Magic (2MP) (2.7) Aero: Creates an orb of wind that absorbs attacks. Aerora: Creates an orb of wind that inflicts damage on enemies who attack you. Aeroga: Creates an orb of wind that deflects certain attacks. This is a very helpful magic for when you are fighting bosses. Here's Where You Can Get Them: Aero: Get it in Traverse Town after you defeat Oposite Armor Aerora: Get it in Neverland by using the yellow trinity and opeing the treasure box. Aeroga: Get it in Traverse Town by finding all the dalmations. III. Summons (3.0) Magic attacks aren't the only things under the magic menu. There is also the ability to summon. Summoning is the ability to call someone out of your party into the battle (Simba, Dumbo, Mushu, etc.). To use summon, go into the magic menu and select Summon. Then select which summon you want to wish. NOTE 1: You cannot use summons in the tournaments or against certain bosses. NOTE 2: Using most of the summons gets rid of your party until the summon is gone. A. Simba (2MP) (3.1) Simba has Proud Roar. You power up this attack by holding down X. Releasing it makes Simba attack all the enemies in the screen area. To get Simba's summon gem, talk to Leon in the secret water way. Then take the gem to the Fairy God Mother in the Magician's Study. B. Bambi (1MP) (3.2) Bambi runs around the battle and tosses MP Balls all over the place. To get Bambi's summon gem, play Poo's Honey Hunt mini game in the 100 Acre Wood. Then take the gem to the Fairy God Mother in the Magician's Study. C. Dumbo (3MP) (3.3) When you summon Dumbo, you ride on his back while he shoots water at enemies. You can find Dumbo's summon gem in a treasure box in Monstro's mouth. Then take the gem to the Fairy God Mother in the Magician's Study. D. Mushu (3MP) (3.4) When you summon Mushu, he hops on your head and he shoots small blasts of fire at enemies. Similar to your fire magic. You get this summon gem, defeat Dragon Maleficent. Then take the gem to the Fairy God Mother in the Magician's Study. E. Genie (2MP) (3.5) When you summon Genie, he attacks all the enemies in the area. When you see his face on an enemy, go to the bottom of the attack menu and hit X. You get Genie after you beat Agrabah. F. Tinker Bell (3MP) (3.6) Tinker Bell heals you during a battle. You get her after you beat Neverland. After you get all 6 summons, talk to the Fairy Godmother and you'll recieve Donald's Lord Fortune weapon. NOTE: I collected all the summons (I'm 100% sure of it) and talked to the Fairy Godmother and I never got the weapon. That might have just been my game or it might not be true at all, so I'm not sure if it's true or not. Look into it if ya wanna. IV. MP Restorers (4.0) Item that can be used using the item command: Ether: Restores 3MP of one character Mega Ether: Restores 3MP of all characters Elixir: Fully restores one character Megalixir: Full restores all characters Items that can only be used in the menu: Camping Set: Restores all HP and 3MP of all characters. Cottage: Fully restores the whole party. V. Closing (5.0) A. Contacts (5.1) The following contacts are for the people who worked on this guide.
