In the first locked room, Revas' magic can once again light the dim
pedestal
to open the way forward. Take the lefthand path and enter the first door at
the next bifurcation, which has 2 more pedestals. Lighting up one (and only
one) will unlock a treasure door, while both must be unlit to leave. The items
are a [StoneCrush Scroll] and [SlicingWind Scroll]. Back in the hallway,
collect the [IceNeedle Scroll] at the dead-end room to the far to the left.
In the hallway system, the far east room has two treasures -- a [Camping Kit]
and [Attack Booster] -- behind a wall lowered by having no torches lit.
Back upstairs, enter the door marked 'Fish Plaque' on the map. Steal the
[Adventurer's Log 1] which tells about how the pedestals have letters relating
to the plaque. Light only the plaques with letters that spell out "FISH", and
the way northward appears.
A high path loops around a lower section where an elevator can ferry the team
up and down. The elevator nearby doesn't do much in getting the two items
across the way, so on the highroad, go around to the opposite side and break
down the crumbling wall. Below, the [Flag of Retreat] and [BoltStrike Scroll]
can be obtained. Of the two rooms on the circling corridor above, one is
completely empty and the other has [Sage's Handbook] behind a gate. To open:
light the pedestal and step on the switch the shadow points toward. The door
in the NW corner leads out of this area. In the 4-switch hallway, light the
2 pedestals furthest from the locked door, then proceed on to a campsite.heal, save, and
enter the cavernous room beyond with a magic circle...

Extinct Fall [1-hit, physical, all]
Rapid Blast [1-hit, physical, single]
Dust Break [1-hit, physical, single + %Poison]
Slogar is invincible to start out with, so guard/heal for 4 to 5 turns until
Maya's magic removes Slogar's shield, making it vulnerable to physical hits.
She won't be able to participate for the rest of the battle, though, so have
whoever hits the weakest -- probably Lang -- item-heal with a Bronze Barome
every couple turns while Kazan wallops Slogar with his finest techniques.
Extinct Fall is the most-spammed attack but the other two single-hitters'll
show up every so often. Keep HP above 500-600 for good measure, even though
both characters should be able to act faster than the boss at Lv18+. If any
ally has the "High Power" defensive skill or "HP Siphon", this battle
will
take half as long.
Afterward, save/heal back at the campsite and exit on the other side of the
boss room. The nearest library room has a [Camping Kit] & [Ancient Writings]
in a bureau drawer, while the western hallway has some skeleton statues that
lead up to a [Adventurer's Log 2]. Each statue represents a Bone Warrior that
will ambush the party, but Galea can break some of them which evens the odds
a bit. To actually get said treasure chest, light the pedestals in this order:
NE, SW, NW, SE.
Return to the main hallway and take the door nearest the library room, which
has a bunch of colored pedestals. The "Adventurer's Log 2" gives away the
right order, which is: Yellow > Indigo > Red > Green. Beyond, enter the first
room in sight to find the [Adventurer's Log 3]. Using this note, enter the
eastmost chamber where there is twelve pedestals in a circle -- like a clock.
To get through the scorpion room, light the following (with northmost as noon
position) in this order: 7, 3, 5, 2. Get the [Plague Cure] and [Gold Key]
beyond, and break down the wall at the dead end for later on.
In the hallway, break both skeleton statues and enter a room with a plaque
talking about 3 o'clock. To replicate this, light the west & south pedestals
to get out. Use the Gold Key on the iron gate and the way into Doplin Castle
stands open!
