Each year, car and bike enthusiasts spend $20 Billion customising their
vehicles. After getting the perfect ride, many take them to the streets,
to race for fortune and respect. Despite it's growing popularity, street
racing is still a highly illegal an dangerous activity.
Hi, I'm Cameron Marshall, the author of this guide. (It's my first) I live in Melbourne,
Australia, the greatest city in the greatest country in the world (I'm True Blue Aussie)!
As
an addict to Street Racing Games, I believe it's time to write a FAQ for one. I've chosen
Midnight Club 3 for a few reasons:
1. The wealth of Customising options.
2. The top choice of cars.
3. The Box Art is really cool. :P
Aside from the Box Art, the DUB influence has really impacted the once
boring (well, I thought it was) Midnight Club street racing/modding theme (You could only
change the colour of the car in the old ones). As soon as I saw the DUB writing on the
box,
I bought it (By the way, the 300C DUB Edition looks a lot cooler in the thick).
Here's the setup I used to beat the game...

But, enough about me. Let's kick things off with which cars you should buy
and/or sell.

respectable acceleration & handling, but not to the degree of modern cars.
Effective drifting technique is essential to winning when using the Impala.
I SAY: Yes, it is stylish, but it's a muscle car. My least favourite of all
the vehicles. Enough Said.

MANUAL SAYS: In addition to being a car designer's dream thanks to it's
wealth of body modification parts, the Monte Carlo can become a real
contender on the circuit with the proper upgrades under the hood. It's
heavy backend makes it prone to fish-tailing on sharp corners, but skilled
counter-steering can turn this into an advantage.
I SAY: Looks good done up, but otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it.

blocks. It's manoeuvrability at high speed makes it a good choice for those
who want to have a robust start to their Career.
I SAY: Looks a little funny, but doing it up can create a beast machine.
Ah, it can still accelerate, and this is what we need in a starter. Get it,
even though the Eclipse looks better.

MANUAL SAYS: A good performer in all categories, the Eclipse's weight
distribution allows it to smoothly slide around almost any turn. Those who
purchase an Eclipse will get a lot of use from the car, especially if they
continue to upgrade it's performance parts.
I SAY: As the best looking starting car, it's no surprise that it's a
favourite. To say the least, I like these better than the Neon, since
Mitsubishi has a long history of creating cars that go the distance. They
last a long time. You get lot's of bang for your buck, and being $250 cheaper
than the Neon,it's a top buy. A great starter.

MANUAL SAYS: Size can be an advantage, and in the case of the Golf it's
miniscule frame allows it to do things that other cars cannot. Able to make
tight corners at high speeds and squeeze throughsmall spaces, no starting
car can outmanoeuvre the Golf.
I SAY: The most expensive starter is fantastic for those who get
easily annoyed with the handling of the other starters. Looks alright done
up, too. It comes out of turns incredibly slow, though. Hard to progress with one.

MANUAL SAYS: Sporting good acceleration and speed off the blocks, with
proper attention to performance upgrades the Jetta can go a long way in
Career Mode. The Jetta's excellent handling also allows it to corner well
without the slippage prevalent in other starting models.
I SAY: The handling is good, but I don't think the speed is as good as
it should be. It's pretty damn close, but just doesn't cut the mustard
compared to the Eclipse, Golf and the Neon. Looks real cool with a new Bodykit
on it, too.

and I have a funny feeling I've missed out on one with the CTS-V. It's the best
Class D Luxury Sedan (I Think) and it looks money. Done up, the CTS-V is real
cool, and under the hood, it's the same story. Pretty and quick. Good choice,
if you don't want too much of a challenge.

but I still love it. You should too.

it. Wow. Win Win. You see a cool car for a few seconds, then get around $100,000
by selling it. Swish.

you're looking for, then the CL500 is your best bet.

I SAY: As the best looking starting car, it's no surprise that it's a
favourite. To say the least, I like these better than the Neon, since
Mitsubishi has a long history of creating cars that go the distance. They
last a long time. You get lot's of bang for your buck, and being $250 cheaper
than the Neon,it's a top buy. A great starter.

easily annoyed with the handling of the other starters. Looks alright done

I SAY: The handling is good, but I don't think the speed is as good as
it should be. It's pretty damn close, but just doesn't cut the mustard
compared to the Eclipse, Golf and the Neon. Looks real cool with a new Bodykit
on it, too.
