i killed him at a location with a place that i can climb on or the place that have a huge rock in front of me. when he is going to run, go hid behind the big rock and he will crash in to it than hit his tail or horn. when u cut the tail it reduced his life by half. DON'T bing pitfall.

i mean bring not bing.

anyone wanna no the best weapon to kill rathlos is sieglind max green sharpness and attack 812 nice weapon for anyone who wants to tear rathlos apart.

best and coolest armor is horetear armor its awsome materials honetear shell:, hornetear wing:10,machilite ore:3 and monster fluid:1 defence: 12 ive got full hornet armor for protection. SAY if ITS good information for more reply:thanks start hunting.

i have the S ver. of Hornet-something. i have hearing protection. and the all the rathalos armors. it took me a 4 weeks to get them.

aight so i need help, i am playing the original monster hunter, (idk if it is different from the others, this is the only one i can afford at the moment) but my armor is mixed up, can anyone tell me a good armomr combination and a good weapon if they like at the moment im using the Great Serpeantblade, the Gypceros Cap, the Battle Mail, the Ioprey Vambraces, the Chain Belt, and the Silver Boots please help!!

i only use the master's blade to defeat the rathalos without flash bomb & pitfall trap i just only use 1herb and 1 first aid med

I still can't beat the rathalos, i take 10 mega potions,10 herbs,10 potions,2 antidotes,1 pitfall trap,2 trap tools,2 nets,5 lg barrels,5 gunpowders,3 lg barrel bombs,10 sm barrel bombs,16 paintballs,1 powerjuice,20 whetstones,6 well done steaks,and book of combos 1,2 and 3. i have full bone(blademaster) armor besides genprey helm and waist and i use dragon agito. (And sorry if you can't read it well)

Well i take 10 potions,10 herb,10 blue mush,1 pitfall,2 traptool,1 spiderweb(ivy i take it when i used the first pitfall),2 demondrug,3 armorskin,10 rare steak,3 paintballs,5 flash bom,10 sm barrel,3 lg barrel, book of combos 123.tell u what i do to hit it till limping.

I told u how to make it limp but unfortunately i died,and i forget to put in ( i brought ancient potion,any items u dont know u ask) i throw flash bom,then set pitfalll at his leg,when he falls i but ls bom at head(and sm barrel too) do this 1 or 2 times his head crest will break,then do this the same to the wings,tail?then the 3rd pitfall i keep slashing him then when he comes out he is limping! But i died when he flew to area 5 (its too late) i go kill him he killed me, twice,i use vile serpentblade,yian kut-ku armor,eat demondrug and armorskin at the starting,when first time u die then 2nd time u eat ancient potion(armorskin,demondrug oso). Hope anyone can help me with these,dont tell me how to make it limp cuz i knew ady,i just need to know how to kill it with these i used all the potions when the 2nd chance (all stamina and lifebar is full cuz i ate ancient potion lol).

Oh sorry i did'nt died,i ran out of time but press l2+select to restart the time(learned it now) or l1+selcet to stop the time (also just learned it)

All request monster slain,i killed rathalos!! With alot of lg barrel bombs

[color=lemonchiffon]it's easier if you just bring flash bombs, people. Rathalos likes to fly. a lot (you've probably noticed)?and flash bombs will keep him grounded, while you beat him into submission. I've been playing so long (since retail release) that i know all monster patterns, so i don't ever bother with traps (i think they're a waste of time), or bombs. If any of you know what head-locking is, it takes even less time to kill. I actually posted a 'guide' on how to do it here as well, including a youtube video showing what it looks like. [/color]

I did it. I alway kill rathalos make easy :p also i froget piftall and i brought large barrel bomb lol... I tired rahtalos's attack fire i run around its behind i use large bomb barrel until he start fire me ahhh boom! Rathalos has killed by large bomb barrel dude... I got low health xd... Lol poor rathalos.
