"The Red Dragon Sword" SECTION 9: The Quadspade SECTION 10: Legal crud, Acknowledgements, and Contact info +++++++++++++++++++ SECTION 1: Foreword +++++++++++++++++++ My name is Jeremy Cannon a.k.a. Tetra Vega, and this is my first FAQ. All information in this FAQ has been confirmed by me. The people that contributed at MKO are listed, and given credit. Anyways, the story goes: I got frustrated with MK:D not having an in-game list of moves for the stage weapons. So I set about figuring out the moves, and combos for each weapon. The end result was the FIRST guide for MK:D's stage weapons. ~Dedicated to the memory of Michael Bailey~ "May the many tales of his demise, be greatly exaggerated." ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ SECTION 2: Version History ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Original post at Mortal Kombat Online created:10/21/2004, 6:58 AM(Always first to update) 1.00 (11/13/04)-Everything you see here, straight out of my post at MKO. 1.01 (11/24/04)-Finally got around to correcting a combo that I listed twice. added 3 Quadspade combos from my MKO version. 1.02 (12/05/04)-Added www.supercheats.com to list of sites allowed to use this. 1.03 (03/04/05)-Added Gamecube controls, minor text changes, and spelling corrections. This is to let you know if you can start/link a combo from or with it. -Knock back: Sends your oponnent away from you. Can't combo. -Uppercut: Sends your oponnent into the air like an uppercut. Can combo, juggling is difficult, for me at least. -Popup: Bounces your oponnent off the ground, like a basketball. Can combo, juggling is very easy. **Notes: If you change your stance, the stage weapon will return to it's pedestal. Unfortunately, you may no longer be in that area of the stage. When a weapon is on it's pedestal, it acts like a solid obstacle, mainly a pillar. Take whatever little wall play you can get from them. ++++++++++++++++++++++ SECTION 5: The Thoraxe ++++++++++++++++++++++ Stage: Beetle Lair The Thoraxe is located in the lower level. To reach it, you or your oponnent must be sent through the bare looking wall. A yellow line runs along it's base. Once in the lower area, the Thoraxe should be right behind your oponnent, in the center of the green outlined square. The Thoraxe is a 2-handed axe like weapon. It's head is shaped like an insect. Looks similar to the design on the red glass ornament in the upper level. The name comes from an insect's middle body part, it's Thorax. It goes with the insect "theme" of the stage. The handle is actually longer when it's on it's pedestal for some reason, and in your stance bar, "THORAXE" is green like your martial arts, instead of silver like every other weapon in the game. This is the most developed weapon. Moves: 1:.................................................Horizontal swing, Push/Power |
