Welcome to my NFL Street Strategy Guide.  This strategy guide should be useful
for both beginners of the game and advance players who want to brushen up on
their own skills.  If you lost your instruction booklet, don't panic, this
guide will cover all the basic controls, gameplay, and all the other
information that you should know before playing this game.  Also, you will
learn all my favorite strategies and secrets of this game.  If you are stuck
with NFL Challenge mode, go directly to that section and you will find many
solutions to help you beat the challenge you are on. If you are having any
problems with this game, you should be able to find your solution in this
guide.  I would love suggestions and comments on this guide, so please give me

2. Update History

May 14, 2004 (version 0.2)  - Added a lot to the guide, but there's still a lot
more to do.  Just wanted to show you guys that I didn't give up on it.  This
should be done really soon.
March 10, 2004 (version 0.1) - First version of the guide is up.  This is a
very rough guide that doesn't have much done yet because of the time I have on
my hands.  I've beaten the whole game, so I'm going around and beating it all
over again to find out the easiest ways to beat the challenges.  I'm doing
every challenge, so I can find out the easiest way of winning each one.  Look
for some major updates in the next couple of days.

5. Game Modes

There are a few modes of play that you can do when you want to play NFL Street.

Quick Game
----------
This is your basic quick game.  Put in your user id, grab seven players, and
play with up to three other people.  Only two users ids may be used.  Pick your
seven players that you want to play with and also pick your course.  Remeber,
make sure you randomize who gets the ball first on the controller screen, or
player one will always get the ball first.

Pick Up Game
------------
Pick teams from a pool of current NFL players and old-school legends like
Walter Payton and Barry Sanders.  A Pickup Game is similiar to a Quick Game, so
you are usually the same gameplay system.

It's time to take on the big boys.  Go head to head against NFL teams to unlock
rewards and develop your team into a playground powerhouse.  I will go more
in-depth with this in my NFL Challenge section which will walk you through the
whole NFL Challenge Mode.

Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - * Star):
Well, this is your first time checking out your newly created team.  This
shouldn't be hard at all because all you have to do is score before the
Cardinals do.  The upside is that you get the ball first, making this quite the
cake-walk.  Even if you are a total newbie, don't worry, this should only take
two to three tries.  It may be hard to throw the ball because your stats aren't
built yet, so focus on running the ball.  Don't get discouraged, this isn't
that hard.

On your first drive, get a 1st down or score against the 49ers.

I think this challenge is even easier then the first challenge you have to do.
Just pound the ball up the field four times in a row, and you will get a first
down for sure.  If you fumble, just quit and restart the challenge.  This
shouldn't be hard at all and should take you no more then four times.

Description:
On your first drive, succesffuly dive for a TD against the Seahawks.
Difficulty:

Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - * Star):
This is probably your first challenge because you have to score against the
Seahawks on your first drive.  This means that you can not turn the ball over
at all.  This isn't hard at all if you just play smart and don't force any
balls.  Remember, your guys stats aren't that padded, so don't try doing stupid
plays that may cause turnovers.  I suggest that you run a lot more then you
pass, because if you don't lateral the ball, it will be hard for your running
back to fumble.

Beat the Cardinals in a game to 14 in 8 minutes or less.

Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - * Star):
8 minutes to score 14 points?  Come on, this challenge is one of the easiest
challenges there is yet.  You shouldn't have a problem scoring 14 points in two
minutes.  If you really want this challenge to go by fast, just let the
Cardinals score on their first play.  You shouldn't have any problem scoring
two touchdowns on two possessions.

Description:
Beat the Seahawks to 50,000 style points.
Difficulty:
Weak Skills

Offensive Play: Reverse Pass

Challenge Cost: 40 Tokens
Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - * Star):
Most people can easily get 50,000 points on one drive.  But because you are
probably new doing this strategy, it might take you a couple more drives.
First off, make sure you use style throws to gain a lot of points.  Style
pitches are a little dangerous, so I would use style throws instead.  Remember
to celebrate by pressing L2 if you are all by yourself.  Don't celebrate when
you are about to get hit, because you will have a much greater chance of
fumbling the ball.  Other then that, if you want to make sure the Seahawks
don't score 50,000 before you, let them score on their first possession.  If
you do a slow and steady drive, you'll get over 10,000 points by just moving
the chains.

Description:
Successfully complete 2 spins or jukes and beat your opponent in a game to 24.
Difficulty:
Weak Skills

Offensive Play: PA Reverse

Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - * Star):
Fakeouts count as well, so you should have no problem doing the two spins or
jukes.  Try to go for two each time, so you may only have to score three times
instead of four.  This isn't a hard challenge at all, and stopping the Seahawks
shouldn't be hard at all.

Description:
Successfully complete 2 stiff arms and beat your opponent in a game to 24.
Difficulty:

Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - ** Star):
This challenge is a little tougher than the usually Weak Skills challlenges
because a lot of times the game doesn't register stiff arms exactly right.
Make sure you time the stiff arms perfectly or you may run in some trouble.

Description:
Successfully pitch the ball, complete 1 pass, and beat your opponent in a game
to 20.
Difficulty:
Weak Skills

Challenge Cost: 40 Tokens
Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - * Star):
Pitching the ball is very easy.  You can do this easily by just using the
lateral button when you run the option.  I suggest that you complete your 1
pass and pitch the ball on your first drive.  Then all you need to focus on is
beating your opponent to a game of 20.  On your first drive, only go for one
point because you do not need to ever go for two if you don't ever miss the
conversion.  If you miss the one point conversion, then make sure you go for
two two on your second drive.  If you have 14 points by your first two scores,
then you are safe.  If you don't then you will probably have to score four
times if you don't get the two point conversion on your third time.  Anyway,
beating the random team is very easy to do on your first try.

This is a very easy challenge.  You can possession first, and all you have to
do it run for a touchdown.  You can even pass until you get the goal line, so
you should have no problem doing this challenge in one or two turns.

Be ahead of the Seahawks after 20 plays.
Difficulty:

Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - * Star):
Also, a very easy challenge that you be able to do your first try.  Score
first, trying to eat up as many plays as you can.  Never cross the first down
marker until fourth down, just inch your way up.  Go for two when you score,
and then let the computer score on their first try.  Then just march back up
and score.  Very easy if you follow this, because the computer will not have
enough plays to score on you.

On your 1st drive, pass for a TD against the Cardinals.
Difficulty:

Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - * Star):
You can run all the way up to the goaline, and then just throw a short pass.  I
think that it is easier to throw a rather deep pass against the computer,
because the coverage is really spread out that way.  Anyway, this challenge is
also very easy, and you should be able to do this on your first try.

Be ahead of the 49ers after 25 plays.

Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - ** Star):
A little harder than the other challenge that you had you ahead of the Seahawks
after 20 plays.  Score first, trying to eat up as many plays as you can.  Never
cross the first down marker until fourth down, just inch your way up.  Go for
two when you score, and then let the computer score on their first try.  Then
just march back up and score.  Very easy if you follow this, because the
computer will not have enough plays to score on you.

Challenge #13

Description:
Shut out the Rams in a game to 12.
Difficulty:
Got Skills

Impact Headband 1: (+1 Coverage)
Challenge Cost: 80 Tokens
Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - ** Star):
This challenge isn't hard, and should be able to be done in a few tries.  Due
to only having to score 12, you can miss both of your extra points.  All you
need to do is score, and then stop the Rams from scoring on their possession.
If you do that, you should have no problem scoring on your second possession.

Description:
Score a TD with an offensive gamebreaker and beat the 49ers in a game to 20.
Difficulty:

Challenge Cost: 80 Tokens
Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - *** Star):
I gave this challenge three stars due to the fact that it is a bit time
consuming.  Scoring 20 agains the 49ers isn't hard to do, but it does take
atleast three possessions.  Just go for one each time by running the ball, and
you'll easy be able to do this on three possessions.  You shouldn't have a
problem of getting an offensive gamebreaker with three possessions, so your
offense gamebreaker td should be easy to do.  This may take you a few tries
just because it's hard to win when you have a turnover.

Description:
Score a TD before the Rams score a TD.
Difficulty:

Challenge Cost: 80 Tokens
Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - ** Star):
Not a hard challenge at all, just make sure that you stop the Rams and then
score your Touchdown.  It may take a few tries, but because it is only one
touchdown, this challenge shouldn't take too long.

Description:
Score a defensive TD and beat your opponent in a game to 36.
Difficulty:
Mad Skills

Challenge Cost: 120 Tokens
Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - *** Star):
Scoring a defensive touchdown isn't that hard to do especially when you use
your gamebreaker on defense.  The reason that I gave this three stars is that
it is quite time consuming to do this challenge, especially if you don't get a
touchdown on defense.  Though this challenge should be completed within 1-3
tries, it may take roughly 20 minutes to do this challenge just for 760
development points.

Description:
Get three user tackles and beat the 49ers in a game to 20.
Difficulty:
Mad Skills
Rewards:

Challenge Cost: 120 Tokens
Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - * Star):
Everyone should be able to get three user tackles in a game.  Beating the 49ers
to 20 is also a very easy task, because it only requires you to go for one each
time you score.  This shouldn't be hard to complete on your first try.

Stop the 49ers from getting a 1st down (or scoring) on their 1st drive.
Difficulty:
Legendary Skills

Challenge Cost: 160 Tokens
Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - *** Star):
It's a short challenge, so it shouldn't take you TOO long to complete.  What
you need to do is cause a turnover to have any real good shot of completing
this challenge.  This is a great challenge to do though, because it gives you
1,120 development points.  Though this may take 5-20 tries to complete, each
try will be rather short so you shouldn't have any problem getting a lucky
turnover.

Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - **** Star):
This challenge is very hard to accomplish but shouldn't take too long because
it is a short challenge.  What needs to happen is that the Rams need to
turnover the ball.  Make sure that you use some goal line running plays to stop
Faulk from scoring on a running play.  The best chance of stopping them from
scoring is an interception or a fumble behind the line of scrimmage.  This may
take a few tries to do, but because the challenge is really short, you
shouldn't have to spend more then 15 minutes on it.

Calling a running play, successfully pitch the ball twice on your very first
play.
Difficulty:

Personal Strategy (Personal Ranking - * Star):
Not a hard challenge at all.  All you need to do is hit the pitch button twice,
and running the option counts as one successful pitch.  Pick the option play,
pitch it right when you hike the ball, and then pitch it back to your QB after
your running back gets it.  Very easy to do!

8,000 style points is very easy to obtain.  This challenge is a walk in the
park and should easily be attainable on your first try.  If you throw a style
pass and catch the ball, you'll get 8,000 points easily.  Also, if you showboat
on every run, you also will get a lot of points.  I had no trouble doing this
on my first try.

Description:
Run for 2 TDs and beat the Chargers in a game to 14.

A game to 14 means that you only have to go for one each time.  You can pass
the ball all the way to the goal line, and then just run it in with either your
quarterback or your running back.  You get the ball first, so this challenge is
also very easy to do.  Doesn't take any skill at all.

Run for 1 TD, pass for 1 TD, and beat the Raiders in a game to 14.

Another easy challenge that should be completed on your first try.  You only
have to go for one each time, so you should be able to easily win this with two
possessions.  I suggest doing the passing touchdown first, because it is a bit
harder to complete than the running one.  I think that the farther you are from
the goal line, the easier it is to throw a touchdown.  Like most of the early
challenges, this challenge is very easy to accomplish.
