Walkthrough - FAQ/Walkthrough_____________________________________________________ | Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES Walkthrough | | By: JaggedJim | | Date: June 16, 2008 | | Version: 1.3 (Aegis) | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ This is my walkthrough for Persona 3: FES. You can always find the latest version of this guide at: http://www.gamefaqs.com http://www.geocities.com/jagged_jim/FAQ ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||E-mail Notice||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— If you have any questions, comments, or you have something you want added to this guide then feel free to email me at “jagged_jim@yahoo.com” (without the quotation marks, of course...) Some things to note before you email me: -Make sure you put “P3 FES” somewhere in the subject line. If you don’t I will likely think that the email is junk and delete it. -Please read the guide before emailing me, it is quite annoying having to answer a question that I have already answered in this guide. (...of course if you’re not reading the guide then what are the chances that are going to read this warning?) -I am notoriously bad at checking email. (...and even worse at answering it) So if you are trying to contact me then you will just have to be patient. -Do not, not, not, not, NOT send me ANY attachments with your email. I don’t care what the attachment is, I won’t look at it and I will likely delete the email immediately. (Also I will NEVER send any attachments with my emails, so if you receive something from my email address and it has an attachment on it, delete it, immediately.) -Please use proper spelling and grammar in your email, it’s just common courtesy. I don’t care if it’s perfect, as long as you make the effort. Emails with “si teh awsome” in it, however, will likely be ignored. -A pet peeve of mine is when people replace “you” with “u.” It’s only two extra key strokes people, jeez. _______________________________________________________________________________ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||Table of Contents||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Version History [001] Introduction [002] Hints and Tips [003] The Journey - Calendar [004] -April [004.1] -May [004.2] -June [004.3] -July [004.4] -August [004.5] -September [004.6] -October [004.7] -November [004.8] -December [004.9] -January [004.10] The Journey - Tartarus Guardians [005] -Thebel Block [005.1] -Arqa Block [005.2] -Yabbashah Block [005.3] -Tziah Block [005.4] -Harabah Block [005.5] -Adamah Block [005.6] Appendices [006] -Social Links [006.1] -Fool [006.1.1] -Magician [006.1.2] -Priestess [006.1.3] -Empress [006.1.4] -Emperor [006.1.5] -Hierophant [006.1.6] -Lovers [006.1.7] -Chariot [006.1.8] -Justice [006.1.9] -Hermit [006.1.10] -Fortune [006.1.11] -Strength [006.1.12] -Hanged Man [006.1.13] -Death [006.1.14] -Temperance [006.1.15] -Devil [006.1.16] -Tower [006.1.17] -Star [006.1.18] -Moon [006.1.19] -Sun [006.1.20] -Judgment [006.1.21] -Aeon [006.1.22] -Elizabeth’s Requests [006.2] -Combination List [006.3] Frequently Asked Questions [007] Contributors [008] ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||Version History [001]||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— 0.1 – 9/6/07 1.0 - 10/1/07 1.3 (Aegis) - 6/16/08 - The FES rewrite is now complete. The Journey’s Calendar and Tartarus Guardian sections have been updated to be valid with both versions, I finally got around to adding answers to events in the Social Link section and also added the new Aeon S.Link as well, and the Elizabeth Request section has all the FES requests completed. Now all that’s left now is The Answer walkthrough to complete... This update is dedicated to the Spokane Chiefs Hockey Club and especially to Chris Bruton, just look at it as making sure that it will be a moment that nobody will ever forget. :P ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||Introduction [002]|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Persona 3 (or P3) is the forth (yes, forth) installment in the long-running Persona series, which in itself is a part of the even longer running Megami Tensei (or MegaTen) series. The Persona series has had a bit of a checkered history when it comes to North American releases. The first Persona was notoriously butchered, (The script was altered to make it seem like the story takes place in America as opposed to Japan, The character art was changed to a more western style, and so on) the second installment was actually released as two separate games, of which we only got one. (the second one) Thankfully Persona 3 is well represented on its journey to this side of the Pacific, (Aegis/Aigis gaffe notwithstanding) with a well written script and high quality voice work. (for the most part *glares at Fuuka*) We even got FES, (eventually) an expansion pack/directors cut of P3. Since there are certain aspects of the game that happens in FES that doesn’t happen in the original game (and to a lesser extent, some aspects in the original game that doesn’t happen in FES) This guide uses tags to differentiate between the two versions. Basically, if I put in somewhere I’m talking about the original release of Persona 3 and means the later FES release. ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||Hints and Tips [003]||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— -Save often. Death can come unexpectedly in Tartarus, so make sure you save every time you go there. -Remember to Analyze every enemy you come across. As with previous MegaTen games, knowing how to attack your enemies is vital to your success in Persona 3. This includes Bosses, as although you might not learn anything from it, it will affect how your party members react. (They won’t use attacks that the boss is immune to, and they’ll exploit the boss’ weaknesses as well.) -Wait for sale days when buying anything. Saving money is nice, isn’t it? -Never take tired or sick party members into Tartarus, and if you are tired or sick yourself then postpone any plans to assault Tartarus and instead get a good night’s sleep. -For the most part you should only use your Personae to attack and not your weapons. You should concentrate on improving your Personae and armor before improving your weapons. That’s not to say that you should completely ignore your weapons, as the amount of damage done during an All-Out Attack is dependant on your weapons. -You don’t always have to do an All-Out Attack when you knock all the enemies down. In fact, if you don’t think that you can kill the enemy with a single All-Out Attack it’s better in the long run to simply relent and spend the extra turn healing or buffing up. An enemy that has been knocked down will waste their next turn by getting up, while an enemy that survives an All-Out Attack will be up and free to use their next turn to make your life a living hell. -If you fuse a Persona with a Heart Item make sure that you register it in the Persona Compendium. Registering the Persona will also save the Heart Item, so you will to quickly resummon that Persona again and get multiple copies of that item. (especially if you register it just before it gains that final level needed before it gives you its Heart Item) -Don’t just head back to the Dorm after school, do something! Improve your Social Links, eat at a restaurant, see a movie, anything! By the same token during the evenings when you’re not going to Tartarus you should spend your time drinking coffee, singing karaoke, Or Visiting Game Panic (in ) and then studying in your room. -Remember that it takes a LOT longer to raise your Academics stat than the Charm and Courage stats. Make sure to donate 1,000 Yen at the Naganaki Shrine Everyday (in at least) and study every night you don’t go to Tartarus. (If you are Tired/Sick however, you shouldn’t study but go to bed early instead) -The size of the shadows doesn’t indicate the enemy’s strength, but rather their numbers. A tiny shadow will result in a battle against a single enemy, while a large shadow can have up to five enemies. -Note that the amount of experience shown at the end of a battle is only what the Protagonist earns, not what your allies/Personae earn. -Contrary to previous MegaTen games, you actually CAN inflict status ailments on bosses. If you are having problems with a certain boss you can try to Panic, Charm, or Distress it to make things more manageable. -The Armageddon combination (Lucifer/Helel + Satan) is incredibly powerful and will kill any enemy in the game. (save one) This, and the fact that Lucifer learns Victory Cry (in at least, Helel doesn’t learn Victory Cry so you will have to get it on him through fusion) will make this game very, very easy. ******************************************************************************* ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ||||||||||||||||||||||||||The Journey - Calendar [004]||||||||||||||||||||||||| ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Due to the way this game is set up a traditional walkthrough is not the most effective way to cover this game. Instead the guide for The Journey (aka the main game of ) will be split into two parts, one a calendar listing the important dates as you progress through the school year and the other a boss guide listing the floor bosses of Tartarus. Note that I will NOT be telling you how to spend your afternoons or when to go to Tartarus in this guide. Although it is possible to max out all of the Social Links in a single play through, I personally find it rather restrictive (at least in , in the restrictions on ranking up S.Links are somewhat relaxed) and will not cover it in this guide. If you are interested in how to do this you can check out penguin_knight’s Max Social Links FAQs for more information. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ SPOILER NOTE: Although this walkthrough is more or less spoiler-free, it is NOT totally free of spoilers. So if you are trying to avoid spoilers, don’t read ahead of the spot you need help in. You have been warned. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ ============= ================================|April [004.1]|================================ ============= -4/7: Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life! Start by naming your Protagonist. (Remember, it’s Last Name first, you don‘t want to spend the rest of your life being called Smith John now, do you?) After your introduction to Gekkoukan High you end up back at the dorm. There isn’t anything going on here so just go to your room and sleep. -4/8: You’ve got your first quiz today, the answer in is “Fuyuhiko Yoshimura,” while the answer in is “Utsubo Kubota.” Answer correctly for a boost in Charm. When you return to the dorm you’ll meet Ikutsuki, ask him questions if you want or say “No, I‘m good” to end the conversation, then go up to your room to sleep. -4/9: There’s a lecture today in both versions, you can either stay awake to get a boost in academics or take a nap for a chance to improve your status. Personally I would recommend to never sleep through a lecture, as you are going to need all the Academics you can get. After school you skip straight to the Dark Hour. When you get control head for the roof. When you get there you will have the first battle of the game against two Cowardly Maya. Use Orpheus’ Bash skill to finish them off quickly. -4/17: You finally wake up today. -4/18: School on a Saturday? Ugh. There is a Quiz today, the answer in is “How the tools were made,” while the answer in is “Mud huts.” When you get back to the dorm climb up to the 4th floor and the Fool Social Link will be established. -4/19: Junpei joins SEES today. Hooray for Junpei! -4/20: You will have your first foray into Tartarus tonight. It isn’t too difficult, just make your way through the level, when you encounter a shadow Mitsuru will give you a tutorial on combat. Listen to it (or not) then use Agi to knock them down and initiate an All-Out Attack to finish them off. Split the group up when Mitsuru tells you to, then find the Access Point and return to the lobby. Your Fool Social Link will improve to Rank 2 when you get back. Leave Tartarus when you’re done. -4/21: There’s a lecture today in both versions. You have your first free afternoon today. After school go to the Police Station in Paulownia Mall, when you get there Akihiko will give you 5,000 Yen, but don’t buy anything at the mall just yet. (wait for the store’s sale days) -4/22: After school is over you will be asked by Kenji, one of your classmates if you would like to get some ramen with him. Do so and you’ll establish the Magician Social Link. -4/23: By the way, if you talk to the Student with Glasses near the door in your classroom and let him tell you about the sights of the Bay Area you’ll immediately warp to the city map. The school’s sports clubs are recruiting today. After school you will be able to join the Swimming, Track, or Kendo Teams. Join one of them (it doesn‘t matter which) to establish the Chariot Social Link. -4/25: The Bookworms Used Bookstore at Iwatodai Station will reopen today. When you enter it the old couple there will mention the Persimmon Tree at Gekkoukan. After leaving the bookstore return to the school and find the Persimmon Tree at the courtyard connecting the main building with the gym then examine it to get a Persimmon Leaf. Take the leaf back to the bookstore and show it to them to establish the Hierophant Social Link. -4/27: There’s a Quiz today, the answer in is “2,” (duh) while the answer in is “6,000 years ago.” After school Mitsuru will talk to you about joining the Student Council. Head down to the Faculty Office and talk to Ms. Toriumi about joining the Student Council. From there you can head to the Student Council Room to establish the Emperor Social Link. -4/29: If you decide to play Innocent Sin Online today, you’ll establish the Hermit Social Link. Just be aware that playing the game will take up the entire day. (meaning you’ll skip the Evening period and go straight to the next day) -4/30: There is a lecture today in both versions. When you get back to the dorm you’ll get a call from Elizabeth telling you to come to the Velvet Room. When you go to the Velvet Room Elizabeth will start her Requests side quest. =========== =================================|May [004.2]|================================= =========== -5/3: If you turn on the TV in you room today (and every Sunday for the rest of the year) you will get a home shopping program. If you order whatever is being sold on the program it will be delivered to your room on the following Tuesday. (If you are exploring Tartarus on that day you will get the items the next time you go to your room) This week’s items are a Slash Ward and a Sappy Jelly for 2980 Yen. Oh, and by the way, if you have plans to meet with someone on Sundays you won’t be able to watch the home shopping program. -5/5: Make sure that you buy a “Mad Bull” item from one of the Dorm’s Vending Machines tonight, as you’ll need it tomorrow. -5/6: There’s a quiz today, the answer in is “Basic,” while the answer in is “Soft Water.” After school is over go to Naganaki Shrine and talk to the girl standing by the Jungle Gym. She will introduce herself as Maiko and then ask you for some food, so go and buy some “Weird Takoyaki” from the Takoyaki stand in Iwatodai Station and give them to her. Now she wants something to drink so give her that Mad Bull you got yesterday. (You did get one, right?) She will ask if you’ll play with her again tomorrow. Agree to do so. -5/7: Head back to Naganaki Shrine and play with Maiko to establish the Hanged Man Social Link. -5/8: This is the day before the Full Moon, and although the game doesn’t mention anything about it (other than that rather ominous countdown in the upper right corner of the screen) there is something I should mention about these days. In your and everyone else’s status will be locked at “Good” today, and if you were tired or sick you will be instantly upgraded to “Good.” (but on the flip side, if your status was “Great” then you will be downgraded to “Good”) This essentially gives you unlimited time in Tartarus. In however, you will NOT have infinite stamina on the nights before the full moon and you will get tired. It does take longer to get tired on these nights, and allies that are tired won’t automatically leave Tartarus the next time you go back to the lobby. Also keep in mind that if you or any of your allies are already tired/sick when the night before a full moon comes around they will remain tired/sick. -5/9: It seems that there is something is amiss at the Monorail. When you get control run to the monorail. When you get there you’ll climb aboard, then continue on down the Monorail Cars. Eventually there is a scene where Junpei runs off and you get attacked by two Spurious Books. Use fire to get rid of both of them quickly. After the battle you get attacked by two more Spurious Books and a Heat Balance. Use fire on the Spurious books and wind on the Heat Balance. After the battle continue forward until you find Junpei again. You’ll get attacked by a Spurious Book, a Heat Balance, and a Dancing Hand. Use fire on the Spurious Book and Dancing Hand while using Wind on the Heat Balance. After the battle the Monorail will start moving, and you’ve only have eight minutes before it crashes! Unfortunately you also get attacked by two Dancing Hand and a Laughing Table. Fortunately they are all weak to fire, so you should be able to knock them down and All-Out Attack them quickly. In the next car you’ll have to deal with random shadows. Take care of them quickly and in the next car you’ll have a boss battle. --------------------------------------Boss------------------------------------- Priestess -Repel: Ice, Null: Light/Dark -Recommended Level: 7 As long you have at least five minutes remaining when you start this battle you should be okay. She doesn’t have any weaknesses, so just hit her with your best non-ice attack. If she summons two Muttering Tiaras, use Bufu to get rid of them before they can heal Priestess. If you need Healing then use the Cadenza (Orpheus + Apsaras) combination. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the battle is over the Fool Social Link will improve to Rank 3 and you’ll get the “Conserve SP” Tactic as well. -5/10: The home shopping program is today, they are offering a Giga Power Band and a Diet Food for 2,980 Yen. You’ll also get a call from Elizabeth informing you that floors 17-40 of Tartarus are now open. She doesn’t mention it in her call, but the Persona Compendium will also become available today. I would advise against trying to climb the new floors until after Mid-Terms, however, as Akihiko will join the party at that time and the extra muscle is abig help with the enemies in this section. You’ll probably want your nights free for studying, anyways. -5/11: The Mid-Term Exams are a week away, this means you won’t be able to improve any Social Links with Gekkoukan High students until Mid-Terms are over. Social Links that don’t involve students (i.e. Hanged Man, Hierophant, and Hermit) are unaffected. There is also a lecture today. -5/13: There’s a quiz today, the answer in is “General Relativity Theory,” while the answer in is “About 1,700km/h.” -5/15: There’s a quiz today, the answer in is “Let me go!” While the answer in is “Bread.” -5/16: There’s a lecture today in both versions. -5/17: The home shopping program is today, they are offering an All-Purpose Katana and two Diet Foods for 5,980 Yen. -5/18: Mid-Term Exams start today. The first day’s test depends on your Academics stat. For best results you need to have rank three in Academics. -5/19: Mid-Term Exams continue, the answer in is “Mangekyo,” while the answer in is “Bread,” -5/20: Mid-Term Exams continue, the answer in is “Chaos Theory,” while the answer in is “Faster than sound.” -5/21: Mid-Term Exams continue, the answer in is “Basic,” while the answer in is “Hard water.” -5/22: Mid-Term Exams continue, the answer in is “How the tools are made,” while the answer in is “Nara.” -5/23: Mid-Term Exams conclude today. How well you do on today’s test depends on you Academics stat. For best results, you need rank three in academics. You are finally able to reenter Tartarus tonight, but more than that, Akihiko joins the party tonight. Yipee skippy! -5/24: The home shopping program is today, they are offering an All-Purpose Apron and two Diet Foods for 5,980 Yen. -5/25: The Mid-Term Exam results are posted today. Depending on how well you did you’ll get a boost to your Charm Stat. (Getting top marks will give you a bigger bonus than merely being above average.) There is also a lecture today. -5/26: If you got top marks on the Mid-Term Exam you can talk to Mitsuru after school and she’ll give you a Page Card Set. (Sword of Page, Cup of Page, Wand of Page, Coin of Page) If you got anything less than top marks, however, you get nothing. -5/28: There’s a lecture today in both versions. -5/29: In there’s a lecture today. -5/31: The home shopping program is today, they are offering a pair of Health Sandals and a Diet Food for 3,980 Yen. ============ =================================|June [004.3]|================================ ============ -6/1: Summer uniforms hooray! -6/2: There’s a lecture today in both versions. -6/5: If you are curious, the correct answers for Yuka-tan’s Happy Quiz Time Show are: “There were three victims,” and “They hung out together.” It doesn’t really matter if you answer correctly, but at least you can look like you did more than just spend your week eating Ramen and singing Karaoke. -6/7: The home shopping program is today, they are offering a bottle of Perfume and five Medicines for 3,980 Yen. -6/8: You begin Operation Rescue Fuuka in your classroom at Gekkoukan High. Make your way down to the Faculty Office, and when Yukari asks what key she’s holding tell her it’s the Gym key. After some scenes you end up separated from the others on a random floor of Tartarus. Start climbing upward, fighting or avoiding Shadows, until on the third floor you reunite with Junpei and Akihiko. After a bunch of scenes Fuuka will take over the support role from Mitsuru and you will get thrown into a boss battle. --------------------------------------Boss------------------------------------- Empress, Emperor -Variable Resistances (see below) -Recommended Level: 13 You may want to equip a bow for the Protagonist, so that every character has a different physical attack type. (You pierce, Junpei slash, and Akihiko strike) Also make sure that you are able to use all four elemental types. At the start of the battle Empress will have a weakness to the three weapon types while nullifying the four elemental types. Emperor on the other hand nullifies the three weapon types but has a weakness to the four elemental types. After taking some damage, however, they will use Paradigm Sift, which shuffles around their resistances. And when their HP gets very low they will only be vulnerable to a single type of damage and nullify all others. Make sure that you have Fuuka reanalyze them every time they use Paradigm Shift, then keep hitting their weaknesses and you should be able come out on top here. Although the Orpheus and Apsaras Personae are probably getting a little long in the tooth by now, their Cadenza combination is still the best choice for healing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the battle you will get the super-useful “Knock Down” Tactic. -6/9: The Shinshoudo Antique store opens today. Also you will be unable to enter Tartarus for the rest of the week. -6/10: There’s a lecture today in both versions. -6/12: The Death Social Link is established today. -6/13: There’s a lot of things happening today. First and foremost is that Fuuka joins the team and Mitsuru becomes a selectable character. Nifty. You’re also finally able to re-enter Tartarus tonight. Remember that from now on you need to talk to Fuuka instead of Mitsuru if you want to enter Tartarus. Floors 41-64 of Tartarus are now available to explore. -6/14: The home shopping program is today, they are offering a Brand Purse and a bottle of Perfume for 5,980 Yen. -6/15: There’s a quiz today, the answer in is “a colon,” while the answer in is “And...” -6/17: For some reason the quizzes that whacko nurse gives you are exactly the same in both and , so the answer in both games is “Shamanism.” The Culture Clubs are recruiting today. After School you can join either the Art, Music, or Photography Clubs (Like with the Chariot S.Link, it doesn‘t matter which one you join) to establish the Fortune Social Link. -6/21: The home shopping program is today, they are offering a Land Badge and ten Sappy Jelly for 24,800 Yen. -6/22: There’s a quiz today, the answer in is “Chinese,” while the answer in is “Jellyfish.” -6/25: In there is a quiz today, the answer is “Dowsing.” -6/28: The home shopping program is today, they are offering a pair of Champion Gloves and three Sappy Jelly for 8,980 Yen. -6/29: There’s a quiz today, the answer In is “Leonardo da Vinci,” while the answer in is “It can go either way.” Just FYI, with one thing and another this will be the final full week you’ll be able to improve student Social Links for about two months. ============ =================================|July [004.4]|================================ ============ -7/3: There’s a quiz today, the answer in is “The 2,000 Yen bill,” while the answer in is “The Global Heritage Pavilion.” -7/4: You should take advantage of the Pharmacy’s sale today to stock up on Dis-Charms and Me Patra Gems for the coming full moon. You want to have at least ten of both Dis-Charms and Me Patra Gems. -7/5: The home shopping program is today, they are offering a Kevlar Vest and four Super Diet Food for 14,800 Yen. -7/7: For tonight’s operation Yukari will be a compulsory member. You are given the chance to choose the other two party members for tonight. I usually go with Akihiko and Junpei. When you reach the hotel climb up to the third floor and enter the Hierophant’s Chamber. Inside you’ll find the Hierophant, and he is not happy about you entering his Chamber. --------------------------------------Boss------------------------------------- Hierophant -Repel: Elec, Null: Light/Dark -Recommended Level: 20 He mostly attacks with electricity attacks, but he can use Prophecy of Ruin which can make the entire party afraid. Pretty simple battle, really. Just hit him with your best non-electric attacks and if anyone becomes afraid use a Me Patra Gem. He can cause problems if he decides to pick on Yukari with his electricity attacks, but you should be able to take him down eventually. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well that was fun, but now let’s head back to the Dorm and... The door’s locked! Well... Why don’t we do as Fuuka suggests and search the room for the mystery shadow. Check the mirror and you’ll get zapped. You wake up in one of the rooms of the hotel. Answer “What was I...”, “That’s not true!”, “I can’t give in!”, and “Now’s not the time!” to shake off the Shadow’s influence. (and to prevent the game from getting an AO rating...) Hanky panky adverted, climb up to the second floor to reunite with your other members. Fuuka will now call to tell you that the boss is back in the Hierophant’s Chamber, but the door is being sealed by the some of the mirrors in this place. You will have to destroy the mirrors to undo the seal, but if you destroy the wrong mirror you will get zapped back to the first floor and you will have to start over again. Also note that random Shadows have popped up in the hotel. Start by breaking the mirror in Room 205, then climb up the third floor and break the mirror in Room 304 to break the seal on the door to the Hierophant’s Chamber, enter it to fight a new boss. --------------------------------------Boss------------------------------------- Lovers -Null: Light/Dark -Recommended Level: 21 Compared to Hierophant I think this boss is a little easier to handle. It doesn’t have any resistances to worry about, (other than the standard Light/Dark immunity for bosses) so just use your best attacks. It uses Maragion and can charm you with Marin Karin and Holy Arrow or Panic you with Pulinpa. It really sucks if the Protagonist gets charmed here, but unfortunately there isn’t much you can do about it. As long as your Dis-Charm and Me Patra Gem supply holds out you should be alright. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the battle the Fool Social Link will improve to Rank Four and you will get the “Full Assault” Tactic. -7/8: There’s a quiz today, the answer in is “o-no-ma-to-pee-ah,” while the answer in is “I failed, it’s over now.” Wouldn’t you know it, we ended up saving the world just in time for Final Exams, so no student S.Links for you. -7/9: There’s another quiz today, the answer in is “Heian-Kyo became the Capital,” while the answer in is “The Konden Einen Shizaihou.” Floors 65-89 of Tartarus are now available to explore. -7/10: There’s yet another quiz today, the answer in both versions is “Kabbalah” -7/11: Good grief, another quiz? The answer in is “Their hairdos,” While the answer in is “Imperial Prince.” -7/12: The home shopping program is today, they are offering a pair of Max Safety Shoes and three Super Diet Foods for an even 10,000 Yen. The Death Social Link will improve to Rank Three tonight. -7/13: There’s a lecture today in both versions. -7/14: Final Exams start today, the answer in is “Jewish,” while the answer in is “Dowsing.” -7/15: Final Exams continue, the answer in is “Murasaki Shikibu,” while the answer in is “Octopus.” -7/16: Final Exams continue, the answer in is “The topknot fired bullets,” while the answer in is “Minamoto no Yoritomo.” -7/17: Final Exams continue, the answer in is “Leonardo da Vinci,” while the answer in is “I went, I learned.” -7/18: Final Exams conclude today, your performance on today’s test depends on your Academics score. For best results you want to have rank five in Academics. -7/19: The home shopping program is today, they are offering a Mage’s Mark and ten Super Diet Food for 39,800 Yen. -7/20: Vacation Time! When you have had enough of the beach you can talk to Akihiko and tell him you’re heading back. -7/21: Today Junpei will initiate Operation Babe Hunt, which can only end in complete and total failure.
