Chapter 15: "The Empress" (62%)

Scene
1. Jump across the gap and use the fountain to heal/save your game. Go up the
stairs and make your way into the Hourglass chamber like you have done
before.

2. Once you are there go towards the hourglass.

(Note: If you did not get the Scene this means you didn't complete one of the
towers. We recommend going back to the Big central hall room and go up to
either Chapter 09: "The Towers" step 4 for the Garden Tower or go up to
Chapter 12: "The Second Tower" step 5a for the Mechanical Tower.)
3. Use the Fountain to heal/save if you want and then head into the door
she went into. If you have some sand tanks full it will make this next part
a lot easier.
4. Go around the corner to the left and between the pillars.

5. Boss Battle "The Empress"
(Note: During this fight don't start fighting her near the throne or you
may run into a bad game stopper glitch. I usually stayed in the middle of the
room when fighting her.)
Before you even try fighting her just dodge her and back as far away from her
as you can. If you are far enough away from her she usually just sits there
waiting for you. When you are away from her go around the room and smash the
pots and barrels for any sand to fill up your tanks (if you need it or save
them for when you do need them). If you don't need them go around the room
still and smash open the chests that unlock Artwork #30 (if you are facing
your back to the way you came in it is to the left of the stairs) and Artwork
#31 (if you are facing your back to the way you came in it is to the right of
the Throne).
Once you are all ready to fight her go towards her and when she gets near you
slow down time and start hacking/slashing away at her. If she starts to block
your attacks roll around to her side or behind her and start hacking/slashing
again. Once the Slow down time wears off use another slow down time and
hack/slash at her again. Use these sand tanks wisely here and you should not
have to big of a problem in this fight. Just keep doing this until she raises
up on a sand geyser/whirlwind (be sure not to touch it or you will be hurt).
You won't be able to attack her at this point but she sends out her red
shadow minions to attack you. Use the same strategy you used on the
Crowmaster on these guys. If you don't remember Jump (X) towards them and
then slash them as you are coming down on the other side of them. Be sure to
collect the sand they drop after you have defeated both of them and then the
Empress will stop the geyser/whirlwind to come and attack you again. Use the
same tactics as before Slow down time and hack and slash her. Use all your
tanks the same way and you should have very little problems with her.
