Go to the tunnel that is blocked when you first came in Earth Valley. Run through everything and enter the final room. This initiates the boss battle. There are 2 of them so be ready. It's not easy as you think. ----- Stats ----- HP: 1400 EXP: 3728 Resist: earth Dagol: 1485 Specialties: none Level: 32 Volty Blast: none Item: Life Berry x2 -------- Strategy -------- Level: 32+ Weapon: Rune Saber/Medusa's Spear Armor: Wind Garb Tactics: This one is hard so prepare. If you found yourself dead try to level up first then come back. They usually use the spin move that deals 80+ damage so ouch if you're hp is low and they have descent hp. You are now a sergeant by this time so you've already learned some links. Probably, you need to learn the 100t body or complete defense. 100t body can be learned by linking with Jill and the complete defense by Grant. It helps you not to get knockdown. Just guard when you see their attacking stance to avoid getting killer damages. Follow the path to Septum Region (run straight from Lupus Gate) then enter the cave past the first intersection of road. Later, he will show up his ugly face. This time you can damage the real enemy. Nothing is important in this fight only the blind effect it can give to you. There's an open field in the dungeon!? ----- Stats ----- HP: 8461 EXP: 12885 Resist: Wind, afflictions Dagol: 7444 Specialties: Bind Level: 75 Volty Blast: none Item: Evasion Berry -------- Strategy -------- Level: 75+ Weapon: Arbitrator/Falvern Armor: Demon Mail/Alefstrain Tactics: Maybe you want to question why I don't recommend Ancient Axe? Because it's slow and its attacking range is very short so it's not an ideal weapon when fighting Cepheid. Like in Wind Valley (Human Side), you need to beat him 2 times. Same Hp and stats in both forms but different skills. 1st form - he's outreach with your attacks and same with your teammates. Start by using Volty Blast equip with Ancient Axe and Full Power skill to bring his Hp somewhere at 5000. Now, all you have to do is to follow him around and keep attacking with your Falvern or Arbitrator. Arbitrator would be better because of its swift strikes. Guard when you see he moves his arms because he will use a tornado or a wind breathe to blow you away. The good thing is that his attacks rounds from 50-100 only. 2nd form - well you can reach him now. Just use attack link and line break when your hp is around 800 to heal and then link again. Yeah he's the first one to give me a game over screen. Wanna know why? Nah, don't bother it was an accident. Don't small flat things or Jack will get flat! Guard and attack is useful here. Except blaze and bind, you should fear confuse. It was the thing that...oooopps, almost slip!!! Equipping Prevent Confuse as your skill will save your life. Bringing Cleansing Stone or Sage is a very good thing. Start by using Volty Blast right away with ancient axe. His attacks are unpredictable and when you get hit, take 150-300 dam. From it! He starts to jump and cause status affect to everyone it hits. Guarding would prevent you from knocking down and less damage but would not prevent getting affected by the affliction. It's either blaze, bind or confuse. If you get blaze, use sage or cooling spray. If you get bind, just shake the left analog stick to repel it. If you get confuse, it's either you get hit, wait until it's gone or you get die. Pressing double X (back step) would be good to evade. Just remember: Volty, Attack, Heal Often, and Guard (VAHOG). +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Cairn Russell -----> BF_2BS_5DLC_6CR +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Description: Daddy, I never knew you're such...hyper...super hyper... ----- Stats ----- HP: 17000 EXP: 50264 Resist: afflictions Dagol: none Specialties: none Level: 71 Volty Blast: none Item: -------- Strategy -------- Level: 75+ Weapon: Arbitrator/Falvern/Ancient Axe Armor: Demon Mail/Alefstrain Tactics: After the return of the champ, it's now to take the championship belt. You have your party with you and he's kind of alone. Like other bosses use volty blast. He will guard almost every time. If you attack him and he counters (break parry), he will do a straight plunge breaking your parry. Avoid that by running on his side. He also has a combo attack and it's unstoppable! It deals 1000+ damage to anyone it touches. It's not a volty of course. Instead of looking in its wonderful-swift-good-looking-majestic blows, you want to pummel him now because the other 3 (one maybe you) are open to attack Cairn. He's vulnerable to any attack that time. Nothing is special here only the son meets his daddy. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Lenneth Valkyrie -----> BF_2BS_5DLC_7LV +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Description: The selector of souls is back and now she's asking if you like to go to heaven... ----- Stats ----- HP: 9004 EXP: 65000+ Resist: afflictions Dagol: none Specialties: Petrify/Paralyze Level: 77 Volty Blast: Nibelung Valesti Item: Growth Stone -------- Strategy -------- Level: 80+ Weapon: Arbitrator/Falvern/Ancient Axe Armor: Demon Mail/Valiant Mail Tactics: She's so beautiful, right? Blue hair, pretty, hot, nice outfit, flow- less skin, can inflict status effect, has a strong volty blast, highest hp, and she's a goddess!!! Perfect to be one of your friends :) Who agrees!? Ahem...let's continue. Even she's a nice girl, she will not be very nice to you if you're not ready what she will do to you. Be ready to have plenty flexibility lotion or sage for the petrify or paralyze stuff. You will know if she will use it if she charges up her bow. Yeah, only her bow can inflict status effect and the other 3 are just normal. It takes 2-3 seconds before she unleash so you have a chance to avoid it. If one of your friends get petrified, just heal them with sage or lotion. Heal often and this battle will end in no time. She's much prettier in PS2 :) +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Lezard Valeth -----> BF_2BS_5DLC_8LV +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Description: Is this the man who's Valkyrie was telling earlier? What a pity :( ----- Stats ----- HP: EXP: Resist: afflictions Dagol: Specialties: Blaze Level: Volty Blast: none Item: -------- Strategy -------- Level: 80+ Weapon: Paradigm/Falvern/Ancient Axe/Holy Sword Gram Armor: Demon Mail/Valiant Mail Tactics: If this guy holds the secret to take Valkyrie's heart, then I WILL plunge in and out the toilet bowl until he says "OMG, she's all yours" LOL ^_^ This guy is not too far from Valkyrie's stats so this would be rather easy or hard depending on what your equipment and tactic. First of all, he's using ling range attacks. Second, he can inflict blaze which you don't want. Scale armor would help and bring along some cooling spray or sage for your pals. He will be guarding almost all of the time so stay with a combo that can break parry on what weapon class you've equipped. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Gabriel Celesta -----> BF_2BS_5DLC_9GC +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Description: Someone gotten out from mental hospital with only underwear!!! ----- Stats ----- HP: EXP: Resist: afflictions Dagol: Specialties: paralyze Level: Volty Blast: none Item: -------- Strategy -------- Level: 80+ Weapon: Paradigm/Falvern/Ancient Axe/Holy Sword Gram Armor: Demon Mail/Valiant Mail Tactics: Before you enter the room where he was, be sure to equip Prevent Confuse skill (max out) or Robot Suit to nullify the ambush effect in the start of battle. He's quiet stronger than Lezard and Valkyire but that's all. This battle isn't that hard if you know when to heal and when to attack and guard. Most of his attacks are physical which means you can depend and run from it. You can let Valkyrie punish him or just run around and attack from his back. DON'T BATTLE HIM ON FRONT or else you will get some underwear chops. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Ethereal Queen -----> BF_2BS_5DLC_10EQ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Description: Be ready for the ultimate challenge. Save before fighting this boss. You never know what will happen to you. Here's a short glimpse of what she is: she's very beautiful (Valkyrie's much), semi-brown skin, green hair, has wings and she's deadly! ----- Stats ----- HP: 46000+ EXP: Resist: afflictions Dagol: Specialties: paralyze, blaze Level: Volty Blast: Armageddon (700-1000+ each) Item: Tri-Emblem skill -------- Strategy -------- Level: 95+ (99 is very good) Weapon: Paradigm/Ancient Axe/Holy Sword Gram Armor: Demon Mail/Valiant Mail Tactics: Here are some tactical suggestion given by our brothers and sisters: By USSJGotenks: -When she says "Too hot for you?" Run! Once she gets down to 12,000 hp and below, get to the edge of screen, and DO NOT attack her, she uses the Armageddon attack around 4 times a minute that can kill you easily. Once you get your Volty up, use you're volty. DO NOT GO TO THE MIDDLE OF THE ARENA! That's where most of the huge spots where Armageddon appear. Bring lots of Herb Extract MAX's with you, and a few revival stone. Get your characters to level 85+. Own explanation: -I'm not sure about "TOO HOT FOR YOU" cause I know if she says that, she will start to cast flaming stones around her which explodes around 3 meters from her. It deals 300+ (she throws around 20) but only 30+ when guarded. For the Armageddon or the white explosions, it cause 700-1000+ that can easily kill your character with just 2-3 hits. Guarding would give you 100+ damage but your friends are too stupid to guard. Even Valkyrie can die in just 30 seconds with this attack *sobs*. I suggest using guard link with Fierce Defense to replenish its damages and to avoid getting your party killed. Staying on the edge of the screen would be the best strategy to avoid this attack if you don't have enough VP to use guard link. If your party gets killed, revive them with Celestial Nectars and use Revival Stone or Herb Extract Max. -Whenever you reach 1500hp or less, heal it immediately. -Here's a very nice strategy too posted by an unknown person (I forgot sorry), it's not that too expensive, not painful and less item to use. I tried it myself and it work but I still met some problem. Here it goes: +Having Elwen/Nyx/Kain/Valkyrie/Curtis for human side +Having Gruel/Galvados/JJ/Valkyrie/Gil for the non-human side +I prefer Elwen (day)/ Nyx (night), Kain for Auto-Cure, Valkyrie for Absorb HP +I prefer Galvados/JJ for high HP, Valkyrie (she's pretty, lucky charm :)) and Gil for good attacks +Having Fierce Defense or Complete Defense and Save Volty/Full Power/Fighting Spirit +Having Guard Link +Having Tri-Emblem (New Game+) +All skills are max out +Strongest weapon, probably Ancient Axe -Start by using Volty with either Save Volty or Full Power. Full power for maximum damage (Ancient Axe), or Save Volty for safeties. -Next use Guard Link with your remaining 10 VP.
