1.0 INTRODUCTION
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi again. I found collecting the Gold Bolts to be an interesting challenge, and I've found
them all. So I
finally decided to create a walkthrough so gamers who need some assistance can find them
all, too. But rather
than just telling you where they are, I've taken the time to give a discription on how to
get them. Finding
Gold Bolts on your own is much more fun, so please use this guide only if you are
completely stumped. If you
have any questions, please send me a private message or, only for users without an

2.0 NOVALIS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2.1 UPPER-LEVEL CAVE
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first Gold Bolt is hidden behind a breakable wall inside the cave.
Go through the cave until you get to the room with three circular pools. Look at the rock
wall next to the
green mushrooms. You should notice the wall looks a bit out of place. Take out something
like the Bomb Glove
and blast the wall. This should smash open wall, revealing a Gold Bolt and a few robots.
Kill the robots and
grab the bolt.

2.2 SEWERS
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This Gold Bolt is in a small room that you have to wall-climb to reach.
Go through the sewer until you get to the first room with some robots and a pile of
crates. After taking care
of business, look at the archway before the steps. You should notice it is narrow enough
to wall climb. Go
ahead and climb up the walls. When you reach the top, you will find the second Gold Bolt
sitting in a hidden
room. Grab it and fall back to the ground.

2.3 HIDDEN UNDERGROUND CAVE
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The last Gold Bolt on Novalis is inside a secret underground cave at the start of the
river.
First, you'll need to purchase the Hydro Pack upgrade from Edwina on Hoven. Then, jump in
the water and
accelerate against the current. When you reach the 'fork' in the river, take a left. Keep
going until you
get into a hidden cave. When you reach a dead end swim up to the surface and hop out of
the water. You will
run into a number of amoeboids in the cave. Kill the amoeboids and make your way into the
cave. When you
reach the large room, look for the large rock stairs and climb them. The last Gold Bolt on
the planet will be
up there. Get it and head out of the cave.

3.0 ARIDIA
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.1 SAND SHARK CAVE
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Similar to the first Gold Bolt on Novalis, this one is hidden by a breakable wall.
Go into the sand shark territory and look for the metal fence. You will see a Gold Bolt
behind it. You cannot
get it from here. Instead, go around the left of the cave, across the mud. Blast the wall
surrounding the bolt
with the Bomb Glove (or a similar weapon). This will create an opening in the wall. Walk
down the path and
grab the Gold Bolt.

3.2 FACTORY CORE
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the factory core (where you found the Trespasser), there is a rotating platform below
you with a Gold Bolt.
First, enter the Swing Shot course in the factory (use the nearby elevator for a
short-cut). In the core,
stand on the edge of the platform and look down. You should see a large fan-shaped
platform slowly spinning
underneath you. Jump down and land on the spinning platform. A Gold Bolt will be down
there. Grab it and use
the green Swing Shot Versa-Target to get back out.

3.3 EXTENDED LAND
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You've probably seen the glow of this Gold Bolt from the truck in the out-of-reach portion
of land.
Go to the crash site of Skid's agent. Hop onto the last sand platform before the factory.
Now look for the
small metal corner to your left. Double-jump and glide over to it (use the mud if you have
to). Now go over to
the large platform you normally can't reach. Walk around it until you find the truck with
a Gold Bolt sitting
in it. Collect the bolt and head back the way you came.

3.4 CANNON BASE
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This Gold Bolt is under the base of the large cannon, right next to Skid's agent's crash
site.
First you'll need to get the Magne-Boots. Then, go back to the agent's crash site and look
for the gravity
ramps. Hop on and walk up to the base of the large cannon. The Gold Bolt will be inside
the base.

4.0 KERWAN
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.1 HIDDEN TRAFFIC TUNNEL
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Gold Bolt is hidden in a secret traffic tunnel under the starting point.
In the first part of the level, where the vendor is located, stand on the ledge and point
the camera downwards.
You should notice the cars are driving through under the ledge. Jump down and glide under
the ledge. You will
see a large brown tunnel under the level. At the end of the tunnel, you will see a Gold
Bolt and a few crates.
When you get the bolt a taxi will be waiting for you on the other side. You can also
destroy the cars and get
40 bolts per car.

4.2 FITNESS COURSE
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another Gold Bolt is located in a background building by the fitness course.
Make your way through the fitness course until you reach the top of the second island. Now
turn around and
face the large background building with a space inside it. Stretch-jump and glide out to
it. If you make it,
you will see a Gold Bolt along with lots of crates.

4.3 TRAIN STATION
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The easiest Gold Bolt is in a luggage room in the train station.
After going up the escalator leading to the train station, jump over the short stacks of
suitcases to your
right. You will see lots of robot dogs in there. Ignore them and look out across the room.
You should see a
Gold Bolt floating on a tall stack of suitcases. Jump across all the tall stacks to get to
the bolt.

5.0 EUDORA

5.1 HIDDEN LEDGE
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The only Gold Bolt on this planet is on a ledge that seems too hard to reach.
When you get to a series of rock steps in the first portion of the level, stand on the
second-to-last step and
turn the camera towards the wall. You will see the Gold Bolt floating over a hidden ledge.
Heli-jump up as
high as you can and glide over to the ledge. You should be able to grab the edge and pull
yourself up. Get the
bolt and proceed through the level.

6.0 BLARG STATION

6.1 HIDDEN MUTANT CAVE
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is a Gold Bolt inside a cave hidden in one of the cages in the cage room.
In the room with the sets of mutant cages, jump up to the second set to your right. You
should notice that one
of the cages leads to a secret mutant cave. Kill all of the enemies in there and get the
Gold Bolt. You can
also use the Sonic Summoner from there.

6.2 OUTSIDE THE STATION
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The easiest Gold Bolt in the game is in Clank's part of the level outside.
More than likely you've seen this bolt with no way to reach it.  When you get the O2 Mask,
explore outside the
station and go over to the yellow cargo ship. Jump up onto the nose of the ship and take
the Gold Bolt.

7.0 RILGAR
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.1 SECURITY LASER FENCE
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To get this Gold Bolt, you'll have to make your way over the laser fences.
Go through the series of laser fences. You will notice a Gold Bolt is fenced off in an
unaccessable area. To
grab it, stand on top of the manhole until it shoots upward. When you reach your peak
height, glide to the top
of the security lasers. Make your way to the Gold Bolt and jump inside. Grab the bolt and
press the button to
disable the lasers.

7.2 HIDDEN SEWER TUNNEL
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another Gold Bolt is hidden in a secret tunnel inside the flooded sewers.
After you get the O2 Mask, head back to the sewer and swim through the flooded portion.
When you get to the
large room with the long slope, dive down into the deep spot to the right of the slope.
You should notice a
large opening in the wall. Swim up through it until you reach the surface. Inside the
tunnel, you will find
another Gold Bolt.

8.0 UMBRIS

8.1 LOCKED DOME
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You need to activate all the triggers outside the small dome before the mine field to get
this Gold Bolt.
In the larea with the two green Versa-Targets, you should notice a small building to the
right of the fortress.
The door to this building is locked. If you approach it, you will see a ledge on the side
of it. There are
actually three or four ledges along the dome. Make your way around all the ledges
surrounding the dome, and be
sure to activate the buttons on the ledges. If you successfully activate them all, head
back to the entrace to
the dome. Inside of it will be a Gold Bolt and a stack of crates.

8.2 SEALED DOOR
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This Gold Bolt is locked behind the other door at the entrance to the Qwark HQ.
Climb up the large ladder leading to the second part of the course. When you get to the
last large pool with
fish and purple shells outside the fortress, look down between the towers along the edge.
You should see a
small room that is hidden from the public. Jump down to find another Gold Bolt. Activate
the triggers in there
and head back out.

9.0 BATTALIA

9.1 ROOF TOP
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An easy Gold Bolt is on top of the left building by the pipe bridge.
In the first part of the level, before the natural land, there are two buildings. You can
probably see the
first Gold Bolt sitting on top of the left building. To get it, simply wall-climb in the
doorway.

9.2 HIDDEN LEDGES
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A more difficult Gold Bolt is located at the end of a series of hidden ledges.
Head across the bridge the first tank drives over and take a right. Jump up all the small
ledges along the
cliff. From here you will find a Gold Bolt at the end of the ledges.

10.0 GASPAR
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10.1 BLARG SHIP DOCK
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This Gold Bolt is at the end of the Blarg ship fuel station.
Work your way through the Blarg ship fuel path until you get to the end. On the last
circular dock should be a
Gold Bolt.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10. 2 UNDERGROUND CAVE
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Gold Bolt is at the end of a difficult underground path.
In the first portion of the level, go up the slope to the left and up the elevator. Stand
on the edge of the
upper level and look down. You should see a huge crater in the lava. Jump down into it.
There will be lots of
enemies and lava hazards inside it, so arm yourself with your best weapons and fight your
way through. If you
successfully reach the end, you will find an elevator that takes you to the out-of-reach
cliff by your ship. A
Gold Bolt and lots of ammo crates will be up there.

11.0 ORXON
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
11. 1 OVERHEAD ROOM
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is a Gold Bolt hidden in an overhead room inside the laboratory.
Go through the building to the left of the ship. In the hallway before the laboratory and
rock formations, you
should notice a gap in the left wall. If you wall-climb up the gap, you will find a Gold
Bolt at the top.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
11.2 BLOCKED-OFF TUNNEL
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This Gold Bolt is found at the end of a tunnel, but you'll have to work to get it open.
You've most likely seen the Gold Bolt on a high cliff at the end of a tunnel in the bomb
field. The entrance
to this tunnel is in the infobot-chase pathway, but it's blocked off by a series of
unbreakable metal walls.
But you can break them from the other side. So head over to the bomb field and take out
the Visibomb Gun.
Stand back far away from the tunnel and fire the missiles into the tunnel, trying to hit
all the metal walls
inside it. This will take a lot of skill and patience the farther you go. When you finally
hit all the walls,
head back to the entrance in the infobot path and make your way through. The Gold Bolt
will be waiting for
you on the other end.
-Second Strategy-
If you don't have the patience to destroy every wall in the tunnel, use this glitch method
my sister found.
Stand next to the purple tree under the ledge. You can wall-bounce off of the tree. Try to
line yourself up
between the try and the ledge to bounce up and get the Gold Bolt. Use my Glitch Guide for
more information.

12.0 POKITARU
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
12.1 HIDDEN WATERFALL CLIFFS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This Gold Bolt is found at the end of a hidden complex cliff area.
Jump into the water and dive towards the floor near the rock wall by the first sand bars.
You should find an
opening leading inside the wall. Swim up to the surface and climb up the platforms.
Butt-slam the Invinco-Lock
and cross the bridge. You will have to kill all the puffer fish and climb up multiple
cliffs. When you reach
the end, use the Swing Shot to climb up the last cliff. The Gold Bolt will be up there.

13.0 HOVEN
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
13.1 CLIFF WALL-CLIMB
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You need to figure out how to wall-climb up to the Gold Bolt in the ankle biter
territory.
Go to the clearing with all the Ankle Biter enemies and take care of business. Now go over
to the wall with
the sideways elevator. You will have to wall-climb on that. Stand at the base of the cliff
and wait for the
elevator to fully descend. When it does, bounce off the cliff wall (not the elevator) and
carefully bounce
between the elevator and cliff. With some good timing, you can easily reach the top and
get the Gold Bolt.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
13.2 HIDDEN LEDGE
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The second Gold Bolt is at the top of a hidden ledge inside the cave.
Go into the water cave and use the Hydro Displacer until the cave is flooded. Now dive
down inside the lowest
room in the cave and then back up to the surface. You will be able to jump up to the
out-of-reach ledge inside
the cave and grab the Gold Bolt.

14.0 OLTANIS ORBIT
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
14.1 LOCKED ROOM
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Gold Bolt is locked up inside a storage room.
After defeating Captain Qwark, go back to the room with the green plasma and metal grate
platforms. You should
see the Gold Bolt in a storage room. The forcefield that was previously protecting it will
be gone. Glide over
to the room and get the bolt.

15.0 OLTANIS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15.1 TALL BALCONY
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Gold Bolt is hidden in a high balcony down the path to the Quartu coordinates.
Go down the path down the large steps of debris. On the spot after the small grindrail,
look up to find a
hidden Versa-Target on an out-of-reach balcony. Step back (if necessary) and use the Swing
Shot to get up
there to find a Gold Bolt.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15.2 ICE PLATFORMS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another easy Gold Bolt is off to the side of the ice platforms after the first gravity
large ramp.
Walk up the gravity ramp and take the path until you finish the last large ramp. Before
you get to the ice,
look to your right. The Gold Bolt will be on a small platform next to the ice.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15.3 EXTENDED WALL SHIMMY
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This Gold Bolt is at the actual end of the wall straddle at the ice platforms.
On the dry platform after the extensive Magne-Boot ramp, grab the wall of the broken fence
and shimmy along
it. Instead of pulling yourself up, go to the right as far as you can. The Gold Bolt will
be waiting on a
hidden platform.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15.4 SWING SHOT COURSE
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The most difficult Gold Bolt in the game is at the end of a challenging Swing Shot
course.
After you buy the PDA from Captain Qwark, head back to the main area. You will notice the
statue is removed,
revealing a button. Press the button to trigger an extra Swing Shot course. This can be
rather difficult, but
there is a way. First, swing across the yellow Versa-Targets that show up. Make sure you
reach your maximum
height with the left Analog stick on the target before you jump to the next one. When you
jump from the last
target, grab the green Versa-Target and land on the high platform. Now look to your left.
You will see a set
of green and yellow targets along. Grab onto a green one when it comes between you and the
first yellow one.
When you come close enough to the yellow target, release the Swing Shot and grab the
yellow target when you
are a bit below it. Then grab the second yellow target and the green one after that. Now
hold onto the yellow
target after that. You will see another green target rotating around a building, followed
by a yellow target
and green target near a platform. Using careful timing, grab the green target and reach
for the yellow target
when it is close enough. Then grab the green one and land on the platform. Now for the
most difficult part;
you will see two green targets rotating in front of you, with two yellow targets farther
down. Repeat the same
steps as before, and carefully time your shots. When you get to the last yellow target,
hold onto it and wait
for a green target to come by. Grab it and the next target that follows, and you can jump
to another platform.
The Gold Bolt will be waiting.

16.0 QUARTU

16.1 BACKROOM
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is an extra Versa-Target in the room where Clank was assembled.
Go back to the room with Clank's 'mom' . Stand in front of the monitor and look up to your
right. You should
see a green Versa-Target up by the ceiling. Stand back a little and use the Swing Shot.
Now you can go into
the room in the back and get a Gold Bolt.

16.2 CODEBOT
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With a CodeBot, you can open the sealed door where the scientist used to be.
After you acquire the CodeBot from the Veldin Orbit (down the underwater tunnel), return
to the transformer
pad. Go down to the inaccessable building. When you get close to it, the CodeBot will
automatically open the
door, revealing a Gold Bolt and some crates.

17.0 KALEBO III
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
17.1 GRINDRAIL
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Gold Bolt is somewhere on a locked part of the grindrail.
Ride the grindrails until you come close to the extra rail with a blue forcefield. Before
you pass it, whack
the three white triggers at the right-hand side of the rails (you'll need to be quick).
With all three
triggered, jump to the right to go through the extra rail (the forcefield will be
disabled). At some point you
will come across a Gold Bolt and automatically grab it.

17.2 HIDDEN WARP PAD
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Near the location of the Help Desk girl, there is a hidden warp pad leading to a secret
room with a Gold Bolt.
Go to the building with the Help Desk girl. Walk over to the spot after the grindrail
course. Turn and face
the building and then look down the right edge of the platform. You will find a hidden
platform with a warp
pad. Activate it to go to a hidden room. There will be tons of chickens in there with a
Gold Bolt at the end
of the room.

18.0 VELDIN ORBIT
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
18.1 LOCKED TUNNEL
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Inside the water tunnel, there is a sealed door that holds a Gold Bolt.
Go down the underwater route in the first ship. When you come across a sealed door to the
left (somewhere
around the end of the route), swim through the three rings around it. This will open the
sealed door. Now swim
through it and go up into the extra room. A Gold Bolt will be inside.

18.2 FORCEFIELD DOOR
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This Gold Bolt is somewhere behind the yellow forcefield that you can't disable.
Go through to the fifth fleet ship. You will notice a door blocked off by a forcefield. So
go outside and go
down the path as you would normally. When you get to the end, take the left path and walk
along the ceiling.
Avoid the lasers and enter the next room. Get on the moving platform to go down to the
floor. Now go back to
the other end of the room and take a right. Kill the robots in there and head into the
next room. Avoid the
lasers in all the rooms after. The Gold Bolt will be at the end, and you can deactivate
the forcefield door.

19.0 VELDIN
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
19.1 FORCEFIELD
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You'll have to use a frog enemy to deactivate a forcefield to get a Gold Bolt.
Go down the path until you get to the forcefield with a frog creature behind it. Take out
the Taunter and use
it on the frog. The frog will come towards you and step on the button, deactivating the
forcefield. Kill it
and make your way to the Gold Bolt.

19.2 HIDDEN GRINDRAIL
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another Gold Bolt is at the end of a hidden grindrail.
Go through the level until you get to the area with a large hole in the middle. Go to the
right side of the
ledge and look down. You should find a hidden grindrail. Grind down it and go into the
room. Climb up the
ladder. The Gold Bolt will be at the top.

19.3 EXTRA LEDGES
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The last Gold Bolt is at the end of a series of hidden ledges.
Go to the two yellow Versa-Targets with lots of frogs and Blarg guards. When you are on
the ledge before the
targets, turn around and jump onto the upper ledge to your right. Now jump across the
small platforms you
reveal. You will find the final Gold Bolt.
