King Abaddon. Case Files are pretty much like side quests in the game and have various rewards for completing them. Some need to be completed to progress in the story but not many. Use ALT+F to search for whatever Case File you are looking for. ============================================================================== ============================================================================== Case File NPCs [NPC001] ============================================================================== NPC Stands for None Playable Character, like the people you talk to in the game. To get Case Files to show up at Narumi Detective Agency you need to first talk to certain npcs and demons. In Game Information : What With the earthquakes on one hand and the Public Security Law on the other, my nose for profits tells me to stock up on Medicine. Why don't you fetch me 5 Medicines? Eh? What do you say? Do we have a deal? How To Complete : Obtain 5 Medicine, you can get these from killing demons, buying them at the store in Tsukudo-Cho, finding them around the map, or from crystals. In Game Information : Imperial Army beginning study of supernatural incidents, your mission is to provide us with Life Stone x10, prepared to offer Amethyst x1 in return. I heard I can get rid of it with a stone called Pyro Steel. My friends Fumiko and Yaeko could use some too. Get as many as possible! In Game Information : I've had the worst luck stocking up on merchandise lately, and I need Wood Ornament x2 immediately. If you can find them for me, I'll give you the Plastic I just imported. It's made of the latest technology some kind of synthetic resin. How To Complete : Obtain 2 Wood Ornament, you can get these by finding them around the map, or by killng demons. I found one on the ground in Fukagawa-Cho, in the north east area of the map, and the other from killing demons. How To Complete : Obtain 1 Pagan Lilim, can be made when fusing Makami & Azumi or Makami + Jack Frost, there are other combinations also. Items Needed : 1 Pagan Lilim Reward : 1 Used Camera Repeatable : No ============================================================================== Lab Rats [CF0107] ============================================================================== From : Dr. Victor I unlocked this by talking to the Suspicious maid in Tsukudo-Cho near the Ushigome-Gaeri Bridge in Chapter 1. In Game Information : I've been doing cutting-edge experiments with a form of teleportation. If you can help me, I'll make it worth your while. Meet me at the Dragon Cave in Dark Tsukudi-Cho, and I'll give you all the details there. How To Complete : Accept the Case File and travel to the Nameless Shrine in Shinoda, ring the bell to call the Herald, pick the Ritual of Entry, and then pick Dark Tsukudo-Cho. Go stright to the Dragon Cave (the blue glowing thing coming out of the ground infront of you). Dr. Victor talks about some basic game information then ask you to help him out, pick to help him out and he will give you a Tesseract Box. That is case closed and you can now use any Dragon Cave to travel to the Gouma-Den. Items Needed : None Reward : 1 Smoked Salmon 1 Tesseract Box Repeatable : No ============================================================================== Ghost Driver [CF0108] ============================================================================== From : Rookie Summoner Taidou I unlocked this the first time I visited the Shin-Sekai Soda Joint and talked to the owner. In Game Information : I'm investigating the phantom vehicle (a ghost car?) that's been sighted recently. It appears from the rear. drives around for a couple minutes, then takes off. It was sighted in Kurisu-Zaka, but I've heard it went down Dark Tsukudo-Cho. Please investigate and then destroy it. How To Complete : Accept the Case File, travel to the Nameless Shrine in Shinoda, talk to the Herald and go to Dark-Tsukudo-Cho. Around the north area of the map Oboroguruma comes out, he is the ghost car. He is weak to force damage and the fight has a three minute timer so be fast. I used a Angel with Mazan on auto and an Inugami with Dai on auto, it shouldn't be too hard. After the battle he calls you the new speed demon, case closed. Items Needed : None Reward : 1 Rusted Screw Repeatable : No ============================================================================== Stare From The Cracks [CF0109] ============================================================================== From : Exhibit Barker I got this when I visited the Nameless Shrine in Shinoda and talked to the Herald at the beginning of Chapter 3. In Game Information : My men tell me someone's watching them from the crack in the lattice door. Can you check out the lattice door at the side of our exhibit in Fukagawa-Cho? If there's anyone who can fit in such a narrow space, I'd definitely want them in my troupe. How To Complete : Accept the Case File, travel to Fukagawa-Cho and head to the area called Show Room in town, there will be a lattice fence along the wall, find the place where it says "check" press X and be prepared for a fight. Turns out to be a pissed of Makami, your going to fight quite a few of these here, they are weak to Force damage, so if you have a area Force use it and own them. After the fight some questions and it is case closed. Items Needed : None Reward : 1 Dragon Tile Repeatable : No ============================================================================== Cursed Home [CF0110] ============================================================================== From : The Kogure Family I unlocked this by talking to Osamu inside the Gambling Palor in Mannen-Cho, I unlocked it at the beginning of Chapter 4 but I know you can get it sooner if you want. In Game Information : There's a row house nearby that makes anyone who stays there sick. I wrote it off as a creepy rumor, but the current tenant says he feels ill... Can you see if there really is a curse? If you'll take the case, come to the Mannen-Cho gambling parlor and I'll tell you the details there. How To Complete : Accept the Case File, for this you are going to need a Frost demon with the skill "Cool Down" and a Volt demon with the skill "Inspect". Head to Mannen-Cho and go back to Osumu in the Gambling Palor, talk to him again to find out some information on the case. Now go to te bottom middle of the main map to the house across from the well. Inside you will find the Umbrella Maker, a small cut scene will happen. Leave the house and go around the back, find the "check", while standing infront of the "check" with a Volt demon summoned use it's "Inspect" skill. After you use inspect there will be a item on the ground, go to pick it up. Now summon your Frost demon and go back to the front of the house next to the chicken, use cool down on him and he will turn into a Basilisk. He is weak to Lighting and it isn't too hard to dodge his major attacks. After the battle you get to choose from two crystals, pick whichever. Some people say the heavy one has Beetles needed for [CF0204] and [CF0403], but I have only gotten money from it so far. Items Needed : None Reward : 2 Wind Bronze Repeatable : No ============================================================================== ============================================================================== Case File 02 [CF0200] ============================================================================== Biting Spirit [CF0201] ============================================================================== From : Imperial Navy Medic I unlocked this by reading the mind of the guard directly north from the entrance of Kasumidai during Chapter 3. To be able to enter Kasumidai you need to complete [CF0209] Case File. In Game Information : The soldiers are being tormented by strange bite marks that appear during training exercises. They say it's caused by the "Biting Man". As a medic, my first priority is to relieve the men's pain. Can you bring me some medicine called Ox Bezoar? I think it should do the trick. How To Complete : Obtain 1 Ox Bezoar, you can get these from killing demons, buying them at the store in Tsukudo-Cho, finding them around the map, or from crystals. In Game Information : I lost my Mahjong set! I wonder if there's a mischievous Zashikiwarashi hiding in the Ginroukaku building? I bet the tiles are scattered all over the place... Let me know when you find them all, okay? How To Complete : Obtain 1 Dragon Tile from [CF0109] Case File. Obtain 1 Four Wind Tile from Tsukudo-Cho, it can be found east of the Ushigome-Gaeri Bridge hidden under some trees. Obtain 1 Number Tile from Mannen-Cho, it can be found in the north west area at the Abandoned Temple. 1 Scoring Stick from Fukugawa-Cho, it can be found on the ground near the north east area of the map. Items Needed : 1 Dragon Tile 1 Four Wind Tile 1 Number Tile 1 Scoring Stick Reward : 10000 Yen Repeatable : No ============================================================================== Photog Needed (1) [CF0203] ============================================================================== From : Kichou Asakura I got this towards the end of Chapter 2 from talking to the Owner of the Soda Joint. In Game Information : I'm getting data on several historic sites to punish a book on folklore. I want you to snap a photo of a certain shrine in Shinoda. It's been there for ages, and it's pretty desolate. It might be important, actually... Although I don't know for what. How To Complete : Obtain 1 Shrine Photo, you need the Old Camera you get from [CF0106] Case File. Travel to Nameless Shrine in Shinoda and find the "check" along the left side, press X to take the photo. Items Needed : 1 Shrine Photo Reward : 1 Tae Sticker Repeatable : No ============================================================================== Bug Collector (1) [CF0204] ============================================================================== From : Agathion I got this Case File by negotiation with a Anzu. In Game Information : I'm a devil, it's true. But I just love collecting bugs. I'm not looking for a bug called a Beetle right now in the human world. It's a rare one known as the Six Legged Samurai, I guess. How To Complete : Obtain 1 Beetle, walk around with a demon summoned that has "Finders Keepers" at the Nameless Shrine in Shinoda until you find one. The third item I found was a beetle. Items Needed : 1 Beetle Reward : 3 Turquoise Repeatable : Yes ============================================================================== Selling Umbrellas [CF0205] ============================================================================== From : Shizu Iida I unlocked this by talking to Satake in the Fukagawa-Cho Daikoku-Yu bath house during chapter 4 but I think you can unlock it sooner if you want. In Game Information : I'm trying to earn money for medical bills my husband racked up during the Red Cape incident, so I'm selling the umbrellas I make. I know it sounds like I've been planning this all along, but... Could I ask you to buy an Umbrella for 2000 Yen? How To Complete : Pay 2000 Yen for a Umbrella. Items Needed : 2000 Yen Reward : 1 Shizu's Umbrella Repeatable : Yes ============================================================================== Demons For Science! (2) [CF0206] ============================================================================== From : Dr. Victor I got this towards the end of Chapter 2 from talking to the Owner of the Soda Joint. In Game Information : I need to study the physiology of a certain demon in order to realize my dream of creating an artificial life form. The one I'm looking for is a soulless demon created in the Asias. The key element in my study is the furious power this demon possesses. How To Complete : Obtain 1 Fury Nezha, I found it in Tento Woods, this demon is kind of picky when trying to recruit it. So just keep trying and you will get one eventually. Items Needed : 1 Fury Nezha Reward : 2 Opal Repeatable : Yes ============================================================================== I'm Collecting Demons [CF0207] ============================================================================== From : Kid Summoner Shigeru I got this towards the end of Chapter 2 from talking to the Owner of the Soda Joint. In Game Information : I'm in grade school. I work as a devil summoner with my grandma. She's a priestess! I need a Frost-Order demon call Jubokko, okay? I'll give you this shiny stone I got from a demon if you do it... How To Complete : Obtain 1 Frost Jubokko, you can either fuse it, or obtain it by negotiation. Items Needed : 1 Frost Jubokko Reward : 2 Aquamarine Repeatable : Yes ============================================================================== It Came From The Sewer! [CF0208] ============================================================================== From : Bureau of Sewerage I got this when I visited the Nameless Shrine in Shinoda and talked to the Herald at the beginning of Chapter 3. In Game Information : There's a rumor going around that a strange creature is in the drains in Kanda. They think it's an albino alligator, or a huge rat... But not me. Help me find the Large Tarrasque I mean, the strange creature. Meet me at the manhole in front of the Ushigome-Gaeri Bridge in Tsukudo-Cho. How To Complete : Accept the Case File, go to Tsukuso-Cho near the bridge and talk to the new npc there, ask him about "it came from the sewer case". You will find out the strange creature is a Large Tarraque Demon and some other information. Now head to Tsukigata Residenitial Area, countinue north and talk to the kids. Help the turtle out and the kids will ask for a bribe of 3 Jin Dan, after, the kids will leave. Gouto will make the Large Tarraque turn back into it's normal size and then it will give you 1 Flute of Rhone, it grants the ability to ride it from blue spots on the world map (cross water) by pressing X on a blue map spot. He will also give you a Tamatebako but drop it when trying to hand it to you, then you will have a question, case closed. Items Needed : 3 Jin Dan Reward : 1 Bead of Life 1 Flute of Rhone Repeatable : No ============================================================================== Fear Of Betobeto [CF0209] ============================================================================== From : Kasumidai Regimental Sentry I got this when I visited the Nameless Shrine in Shinoda and talked to the Herald at the beginning of Chapter 3. In Game Information : While I was patrolling Kasumidai, I felt like someone was following me... But I didn't see anyone there. My gran once told me when that happens, it's Betobeto doing it. It's not actually hurting anything, but I'm afraid that something terrible might happen if I ignore it. Can you look into this? How To Complete : Accept the Case File, head to Kasumidai, I got ambushed around the east area. Betobeto turns out to be a Obariyon and he has some friends with him, these guys are also weak to force damage and there are a lot of them. After the fight you get thanked... and that is case closed. Items Needed : None Reward : 1 32 Gunto Repeatable : No ============================================================================== The Curse Reborn [CF0210] ============================================================================== From : Army Summoner Tsunatsugu I unlocked this at the beginning of Chapter 4 by talking to Tsunatsugu in Kasmuidai, he is located in the south east corner standing infront of a car. In Game Information : I'm suffering from a curse that prevents me from working as a devil summoner. My research indicates the curse was on and ancestor of mine, and now it's been affecting me. I know what's causing it, but I can't do anything about it in this condition. Please go to the North Training Hall and defeat the demon. How To Complete : Accept the Case File, head to Fukagawa-Cho, follow the map around until you get to the blue dot at the top. Call your Large Tarrasque and go to the island, that is Training Hall North. You will speak with a Oni until he summons a couple friends and then the battle will start. They are weak to lighting, and there are quite a few of them but they are pretty weak if you have lighting and some form of dia on auto. After the fight the Oni will talk to you again, that is case closed. In Game Information : There's a popular but dangerous game called Ouija Board. If you don't take special precautions, you can lose your soul playing it. I'm looking for Moonlight Herbs, a rare plant that only appears in the San'in region during the full moon. If you find it, please bring it to me! I'd love to share the wonder of nature with others. How To Complete : Obtain 1 Moonlight Herb, travel to Tento Woods, go north past the cells, keep going north past the Dragon Cave. At the 4 way intersection go east, from here go to the north east area. There is a shiny thing in the bush that doesn't go away after picking it up. Check it when it is a full moon to get 1 Moonlight Herb. In Game Information : I'm looking for a mook name of Kuroi who defaulted on his loan and went on the lam. He's hidin' somewhere, I just know it... Find where he's hidim' and get a photo of him. I'll teach him to borrow money with a sob story and piss it all away on broads! How To Complete : Travel to Fukagawa-Cho then go north to the Red-Light District, from the south entrance go north a tiny bit then go west into the alley. Kuroi is just standing there and ready for you to take a photo of him, go for it, case closed. In Game Information : I'm planning to dedicate the abandoned temple on the outskirts of town to Binbou-Gami, just like the shrine in Koishigawa. The Priest there says that devotion to him will bring luck, just like any other god. Could you bring me a Shishiou Sake as an offering? It's rare... but so am I!
