Silent Hill 3 Cheats

The Heather Beam is a neat "weapon" Heather can obtain by defeating at least 333 enemies. Now there aren't that many enemies in a single play-through, so the kills are cumulative. Once obtained, un-equip any weapons you might have on. Just get into "Ready Position" (hold down R2) and press X. Lasers will fire from her eyes. If you just press X once, a few beams will be fired. If you press X multiple times, multiple rays will shoot out. If you hold down X while facing a monster, the beams will fire directly at the monster.

Now, the Sexy Beam is an upgraded version of the Heather Beam. Sexy Beam can only be used when Heather has her "Princess Heart" Costume on. The same mechanics apply of the Heather Beam apply for the Sexy Beam as well.

Both beams take up a lot of stamina, so use it wisely.

After completing the game on Hard mode, Extreme Mode 1 will be unlocked. Beating Extreme Mode 1 will unlock Extreme Mode 2, Beating Extreme Mode 2 will unlock Extreme Mode 3, and so forth. The difficulty rises as well, making each new level that much more difficult. There are 10 Extreme Modes in total.

A very amusing Easter Egg indeed. To obtain, while on the main menu, highlight "Extra New Game". Enter in the code: Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right O X. Heather should sigh when picking the difficulty.

Some nifty little surprises that don't require you to do anything in-game prior. All you need is a completed file of Silent Hill 2 on the same memory card you're using for your Silent Hill 3 play-through.

The silencer is an upgrade for the hand-gun or the Sub-Machine Gun. It's exactly what it sounds like: it mutes the gun shots so other monsters can't hear you shooting their partner to death. But there's more: it also eliminates the flash of the initial shot. You can find the silencer hidden in the newly plastered wall in the same room where you find the mattress. One of the walls is lighter than the others. Hit it with the pipe, a couple of time, and it should crumble, dispensing the silencer and a pair of legs.
