Version History/Timeline [VHCSL] 1st September - v0.1: Started the guide today. Had some spare time, so I thought I might as well set the guide up for the release of Battlefront 2. I will fill this guide in as I get the information. --- I have deleted from 2nd Sept to 30th October, because it just got too long, and the info wasn't that important. Email me if you want to see it all. --- 1st November - v2.7: Finally got this guide onto a few websites. I deleted most of my version history, because it was getitng too long. I did quite a bit of editing today, with vehicles, and units. 5th November - v2.8: Got the game on the 3rd, and spent the last couple of days playing it. It is sooooooo cool. So, I left my email for a 2 days, and I got 60 emails. Massive updates everywhere. Lots done. 6th November - v2.9: A lot more changes today. I went through most of my e-mail aswell. Theres still a lot to go, but I'll get there someday. My guide is really messy at the moment, so I'll try to clean it up. 7th November - v3.0: Yay! 3.0! Anyway, I added a few minor things, changed some stuff around, and I also added a new section, entitled Medals! Due to popular request, I have explained the medals and awards system. 9th Novemner - v3.1: Changed stuff around, redid parts of the vehicles bit. I went through more emails... Added things from them etc. I'm still working on the 'Database' Part. Knocked the Coming Soon list from 54 to 16. 14th November - v3.2: Lots more minor changed and additions all over the place, and still none of the main walkthrough done. But, by next weekend, I promise I will have the Mygeeto walkthrough up and running. 15th November - v3.3: Today I did the story mode of Kashyyyk, and part of the Death Star. I added a few more little things, including a couple of glitches. The walkthrough is finally underway. 24th November - v3.4: I've been sick lately, so I haven't been able to do much. My email inbox overflowed and automatically deleted some messages, sorry if some were yours. I did Coruscant Space, and Small Space battles. 27th November - v3.5: Did lots of work on vehicles. Lots. Also did two more walkthrough segments. I've fixed the problem wiht my emails, so thye won't be deleted anymore. 27th November - v3.6: I did lots this morning, and this afternoon I did Hoth and part of Tantive IV. I created a new website for the walkthrough aswell, with *exclusive content* not seen in the walkthrough... Check it out! 29th November - v3.7: Touched up a few things, fully completed Hoth. I've got end-of-year exams for a week, so I won't be able to update much. Wish me luck! Also did some of Dagobah today aswell. 10th December - v3.8: Sorry I haven't updated in so long. I've been busy. Today I found another glitch, and added it, and I also completed the Story Mode for Mygeeto. Gave the guide to someone to put on another site aswell. 9th January - v3.9: My PS2 is broken, ehich means no more BFII for a while. Thats the reason I haven't updated in so long. Answered all my emails today, I'll write some stuff in the next few days. 9th January - v4.0: Added weapon strengths, and may add armour to vehicles and units later on. Do the people want it?? Also made the medals section a bit clearer, and changed about *gasp!* 15 mistakes that were pointed out. 25th January - v4.1: In the next update: Well, I've pretty much finished the Database, except for the Weapon Strengths, so I'm working mainly on the Walkthrough now, doing whatever levels I feel like. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Coming Soon List- This is basically my checklist for things I need to add. Note to self... Ctrl+F, search COMING SOON, and ???. - Galactic Conquest Mode - Instant Action Mode - Maps - Weapon Strengths - Splitscreen - Online - FAQ Current Number of things to do: 7 *************************************************************************** 4. Basic Gameplay and Controls (PS2) [BGC04] These are the controls for Battlefront 2, on PS2. I've changed my mind, I no longer want the Xbox controls. You must complete certain objectives to win a battle. For example, in the Utapau level, when the Republic captres the Overlook Command Post, a walker spawns. If the Republic then captures the Highway CP, a player will be able to play as Obi-Wan. Using Obi-Wan, General Grievous must be defeated. After this, the final objective is to destroy the AA guns to clear the air for the Republic Gunships. A new feature to Battlefront II is the Star Points System. Gaining Star Points lets you access more powerful units, such as the Commander Class, and Heroes. You gain Star Points by killing enemy soldiers, capturing Command Posts, destroying enemy vehicles, and killing heroes. *************************************************************************** 5. Game Modes & Map Types [GMS05] The various gameplay modes available in SWBF2 5.a) Story Mode, [GMSMA]: In BF2's story mode, you play as the 501st Legion, also called Vader's Fist. YOu will take them through their change from early in the Clone Wars, and through the Galactic Civil War. COMING SOON Battlefront II's GC mode is quite different from the first. The main concept is the same as the first, (take over the galaxy) but many new features are introduced. If an enemy fleet is over a planet, you will have to break through your enemies space defence in order to attack the planet below. Next, by winning battles you will gain credit which can be used to purchase new units and bonuses. Bonus |Cost in Credits | My Rank out of 10 ------------------------------------------------------- Energy Boost | 200 | 2/10 Supplies | 200 | 3/10 Garrison | 200 | 8/10 Autoturrets | 400 | 7/10 Bacta Tanks | 400 | 5/10 Combat Shielding | 400 | 6/10 Sabotage | 600 | 7/10 Enhanced Blasters| 600 | 6/10 Leader | 800 | 7/10 Unit |Cost in Credits | My Rank out of 10 ------------------------------------------------------- Trooper | Free | 10/10 Heavy Weapons | 1000 | 7/10 Sniper | 1000 | 6/10 Engineer | 1000 | 8/10 Commander | 1800 | 9/10 Special | 1800 | 7/10 Pilot | Free | 9/10 Marine | 0800 | 6/10 5.c) Instant Action Choose a map or two, then battle it outwith any faction. Great for a quick battle, for fun, or honing those Online skills. 5.d) Conquest Basic Battlefront Style fighting. Capture your opponents Command Posts, while defending your own. 5.e) Hunt In hunt, the native species of a planet battles it out against invaders. The different battles of Hunt are: Wookies vs MagnaGuards on Kashyyyk Gungans vs SBDs on Naboo Ewoks vs Scout Troopers on Endor Wampas vs Rebels on Hoth Geonosians vs Sharpshooters on Geonosis Tuskan Raiders vs Jawas on Tatooine (I don't understand why Jawas would be battling it out with Tusken Raiders on the streets of Mos Eisely) 5.g) Capture the Flag The object of Capture the Flag is to... Capture the Flag! Who would've guessed that one! Both games of capture the flag center around the possession and location of flags. Each faction has a base, indicated by glowing yellow circles on the map. Your base is blue and is near one of your team's CPs, while the enemy's glows red and is near one of their CPs. These bases are easy to spot on the battlefield. 1-Flag CTF: Both teams battle over one flag, which is neutrally placed in the absolute center of the field. To score, take the flag to your enemies base. 2-Flag CTF: The two teams fight for control of two flags-a red flag and a blue flag, red for the enemy, blue for yours. You can only carry the enemy flag. Take it back to your base to score. If you die, the flag will be 'dropped,' meaning another good guy can pick it up and keep going. If nobody claims it within a certain period of time, (15 seconds) the flag automatically returns to the enemy's base. The same is true for your team's flag. If you find an enemy carring your team's flag, kill him and protect the flag like you would a command post. After 15 seconds your flag will go back to your base. *************************************************************************** 5.h) Assault The object of Assault is to take down the enemy's Command Ship(s), and Frigates (In Space). The default amount of points you have to get is 180. You get 18 per frigate, and 3 per fighter destroyed. You also get 18 points per enemy cap. ship system you destroy. Sheilds (All over Ship/Inside, Must be destroyed first) Comms Array (Top of Ship) Sensor Relay (Top of Ship) Life Support (Bottom Of Ship/Inside) Auto Defense Mainframe (Inside) Engine Cooling Tanks (Inside) Another Assault level is Mos Eisely. You choose whether you want to be Heroes or Villains, then battle it out with every hero in the game. You do not have a Lightsaber-meter which diminishes over time, byt instead a normal health bar. The first team to reach the specified amount of kills (the default is 180) wins. *************************************************************************** 6. Maps [MPS06] Now for the main, chunky bit of my walkthrough! This was all it was at start, and it exploded into an entire walkthrough. Unfortunately, this is the part everyone will probably want, but will probably take the longest to complete. ________________________-=Special Entry!=-__________________________ | Throughout the main walkthrough, I probably won't be bothered | |writing the proper names for everything. So, here is a list of | |abbreviations that I might use. | | | |CP: Command Post | |HW Unit: Heavy Weapons unit | |Imps: Imperials | |Boba and Jango: Boba Fett and Jango Fett. (these are small reminders specific to that level) -[___] -[___] -[___] --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Space Battles [MSB6*] I have made this section since all Space battles are almost exactly the same. There will be a strategy for Large battles, and Small battles. If a map if featured in Story Mode, you can find its walkthrough under the correct level below. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Space: Space (Small) Space Battle Difficulty: 5/10 Important Command Post(s): Your Capital Ship Available Game Modes: Assault, 1 flag CTF Objectives: Collect set amount of points Recommender Unit: Pilot Heroes: None Assault: Start out by grabbing a Transport Ship. Try to make sure noone else is in. If there is, and you get out in the enemy hangar, the other guy in the ship will fly away and crash into a wall. Fly towards the enemy hangar, and once you get about half way there use your Boost. Land in the hangar, and jump out. If you die during the next part, remember to spawn at the Transport Ship. Sprint towards the enemies Internal Systems, and take out the Auto Turret Defense Mainframe with two timebombs. Go back to the Ammo Droid and refill. Next, take out the Engine Cooling Tanks and the Life Support systems, running back to the ammo droid when you run out. YOu will now need to take out their Shields. Go into the room at the back, and pace 3 timebombs on the center thing. You will need to grab another bomb to deliver the final blow, so do so. Once this is destroyed, steal an enemy bomber and take out their Communications Array and their Targeting Control Bridge. Both are located on the top of their Capital Ship. If you havent won by now, fly back to your hangar and take an Intercepter. Destroy all enemy ships until you win. An alternate strategy, sent in by me =D : Spawn as a Marine, and take a Transport into the enemies hangar. Stay in there killing units who run for the ships with your rifle, and taking out all their ships before they become occupied with your Rocket Launcher. Your alles will help you out by killing other Pilots and Marines. Remember... - Take out the enemies Auto-turrets inside their Capital Ship. - Doing tricks is fun :and: clever! - --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Space: Space (Large) Space Battle Difficulty: 5/10 Important Command Post(s): Your Capital Ship Available Game Modes: Assault, 1 flag CTF Objectives: Collect set amount of points Recommender Unit: Pilot Heroes: None Assault: Spawn as a pilot, and grab a Bomber. Fly directly up when you leave the hangar, and head over towards their frigates. Bomb the **** out of then until they explode. Proceed to the next one. If you manage to take out both frigates in one life, you'll get the War Hero award. Once these are destroyed, fly into the enemy hangar and land. THe next part is taken from the Small space battle guide because I'm lazy. Remember... - Flip, roll and spin. - If you take out both enemy Frigates in one life, you will get Endurance, Guardian and War Hero. - --------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHAPTER ONE - THE CLONE WARS --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Geonosis: Dust Plains [MGD6A] Attack of the Clones Difficulty Rating: 0/10 You can't lose. Important Command Post(s): None in particular Availabe Game Modes: Conquest, Hunt, 2 flag CTF Objectives: Recommended Unit: Mainly Trooper. Sniper and Heavy Weapons units are also good, with high places and many vehicles. Heros: Mace Windu, Count Dooku, N/A, N/A. Intro: A harsh rocky world less than a parsec away from Tatooine, Geonosis is a ringed planet beyond the borders of the Galactic Republic. Its uninviting surface is marked by mesas and buttes, and barren stretches of parched desert hardpan. The rocks and sky are tinted in red, and the creatures that evolved on Geonosis are well equipped to survive in the harsh ecology. I don't think this level needs much explaining story mode-wise, seeing that its just the training level. So, just follow the instructions, and you'll be fine. Conquest: I'll start with the Republic first. If you want to be a Trooper, (recommended) spawn at the CP North-East Command Post. Run up the big hill, and into the bunker. You should get there before your enemy. After you capture it, run outside. THere are probably a few Battle Droids there. Take them out, and continue down the hill towards the CIS hangar-like place. This is the part where you'll probably get a bit hurt. Take out the Sonic turret with a grenade or two, and run inside. Take cover behind a pillar and shoot anything that moves. Once the room is cleared, run over to the Command Post and take it. Now change to a Heavy Trooper and run outside. There should be a Spider Walker, and a Hailfire Droid or two. Lock on with Square, and destroy them. You should have won the level by now. Well done. The CIS are coming soon! Email me if you have a strategy. Hunt: As the Sharpshooters, get to the Eastern Hill. Run up, and crouch down in the triangular spiky bits, for lack of a better name. Shoot down at the Geonosians from above. Or, if you have legendary Gunslinger, use your presicion pistol to take them out from the ground. As the Geonosians, just run around the place killing. When you see a Clone, fly towards him in an arc. It will make you a harder target to hit. Once you get close enough, blast him. Roam around the map doing this, concentrating on elevated areas where they will be sniping your team. 2 Flag CTF: As either side, just defend your flag. It may take a while, but your allies will bring the enemies flag back. So, find a bit of cover which is close to your flag, and you can see in the oppositions general direction. Shoot anyone who approaches, and you should be fine. Also, provide covering fire for your valiant allies returning with the flag. Run out and get it if they are close, but get shot. Remember... - Run around the map in a clockwise direction, capturing CP's. - Rocket guys are strong. - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mygeeto: War-Torn City [MMW6B] Amongst the Ruins Difficulty Rating: 2/10 Important Command Post(s): The end ones, across either bridge. Availabe Game Modes: Conquest, 2 flag CTF Objectives: 1. Capture the forward command post. 2. Destroy the particle turrets. 3. Destroy the generator to power down the shield. 4. Capture the northwestern command post. 5. Destroy the energy collector core. 6. Acquire the power crystals and return them to the gunship. Recommended Unit: Trooper Heros: Ki Adi Mundi, General Grievous, Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett. Intro: A frigid world of crystallized ice, Mygeeto was a major holding of the InterGalactic Banking Clan that became a battle site during the Outer Rim Sieges of the Clone Wars. General and Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi and Commander Bacara led the Galactic Marine clone troopers in extended urban fighting amid the ultramodern towers of a major Mygeeto city. The blistering cannonades and laserfire of towering Separatists tri-droids and Republic artillery carriers reduced much of the city and crystalline landscape into rubble, polluting the icy winds with a persistent pall of gray ash. Story: Spawn as a Trooper and rush towards the AT-RT at the start of the bridge. Walk across, taking out a few droids. Any that you miss will be killed by troops behind you, so don't fret if they get by. Walk up to the CP, but dont get off. Around four droids will rush around the corner at you. Once they are dead, you can jump off your AT-RT, and take the CP. You will be prompted to destroy the turrets to make way for General Mundi's landing. Get back on the AT-RT, and take out the turrets with your secondary fire. Make sure you aim high, or the missiles will fall short, and not hit your target. You can now access Ki-Adi-Mundi. Respawn as him, and sprint to your next objective. Jump over the green energy gate, and hack at the small box-like generator, to take down the shield. Keep moving forward, and secure the bridge. Sprint across, and go around the back of the tower. THere are two generators you need to destroy. Kill any droids that get in your way, but dont run around like a... crazed rabbit (?). Once the generators have been blown run inside and start hacking away. There will be several droidekas inside, so try to take them out before they get their shields up. Once the core is destroyed, a crystal will fall out. Pick it up (its glowing white, not hard to miss), and sprint back to the gunship. Usually Mundi dies for me about here. If he does, take a soldier and sprint to where you died. Grab the crystal, and sprint back. 2 Flag CTF: (Copied from Geonosis walkthrough above) As either side, just defend your flag. Remember... - Don't bother trying to take out the Tanks. Just go around. - Use the terrain to your advantage. It will take longer to skirt the edge of a battle, but it'll be worth it. - If ya see a vehicle, take it! They're great for rackin' up kills. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Coruscant: Space [MCS6C] A Desperate Rescue Difficulty Rating: 3/10 Important Command Post(s): Republic Command Ship Availabe Game Modes: Story Mode only, except GC. Objectives: 1. Enter an ARC-170 and launch into space. 2. Destroy five incoming CIS fighters. 3. Attack and destroy the enemy frigate. 4. Disable the shields on the cruiser. 5. Destroy the communications array. 6. Land your ship in the CIS hanger 7. Destroy the engine cooling tanks 8. Get back to your fighter and destroy the targeting bridge. Recommended Unit: Pilot Heros: N/A Story Mode: Start out by jumping into an ARC-170 Starfighter. You will have to destroy 5 CIS ships. When you get into space, press Square to lock on. WHen you can see the enemy, wait until the white circle turns red, then fire your missiles. Once you have destroyed 5 ships, you will be told to destroy the frigate. It is the Roundish ship with 2 wing-like parts. Fire your missiles, at it, and throw in a few rolls to avoid incoming laser fire. Once this is completed, you will have to take down their shields. Use the same strategy as before; fire missiles, and roll. Next, you are charged to take down their communications array. Lock onto it using square, so you can easily find it again. Once again, fire missiles until it it destroyed. We then have to land in the CIS ship. So, proced to the side of the ship, and fly into the glowing blue thing. Press X to land, and jump out. Run towards the doors on the wall, and once you get inside, turn right. Sprint past the Auto-turrets, and place 3 timebombs onto the glowing green bars. Sprint back out to your ARC-170, and fly outta there. Our next objective it to take out the Bridge. It is located a bit further down from the Communications Array. Fire missiles at it until it explodes. Mission accomplished. Hopefully by now you will be accustomed to Space battles. Remember... - - - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Felucia: Fungi Forest [MFF6D] Heart of Darkness Difficulty Rating: 3/10 Important Command Post(s): The Fungal Tree Availabe Game Modes: Conquest, 1 flag CTF (?) Objectives: 1. Kill 6 Acklay 2. Defend the AT-TE 3. Get the Power Cell 4. Destroy the Gun Emplacements Recommended Unit: Trooper Heros: Aayla Secura, Jango Fett, Chewbacca, Boba Fett. Intro: Once a major holding of the Commerce Guild, Felucia was a world teeming with fungal life-forms and immense primitive plants. Much of the planet has a fetid, humid landscape overgrown by forests of bizarre wilderness. Many of the life-forms on Felucia are partially or completely translucent; they color the sunlight as the beams penetrate their skin. Beneath the hazy canopies of the enormous pitcher plants and leafy growths is a surreal color-drenched landscape. Story Mode: Spawn as a Clone Trooper, and run over to the blinking icon on your map. What could it be...? You hear screams through your helmet... Once you reach the AT-TE, you are attacked by 6 giant Acklay! Aaah! Kill them by shooting at them. If one comes at you, run backwards while firing, and dont back up against anything. Once you have taken care of that menace, another emerges. The CIS start attacking. Defend the AT-TE with your life. Lock on with square to find enemies you couldnt see. Once you've taken care of them you will be offered Aayla Secura. Accept, and sprint over to the power cell. Grab it, and sprint back. Once the AT-TE is powered up, you will need to destroy some Gun Emplacements. If you still have Aayla, use her to destroy them. If not, Get into the AT-TE and walk over. Use the big gun on top to blow them up. Remember... - - - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Kashyyyk: Space [MKS6E] ??? Difficulty Rating: 4/10 Important Command Post(s): Your Cap. Ship Availabe Game Modes: Assault, 1 flag CTF Objectives: Recommended Unit: Pilot Heros: N/A Story Mode: COMING SOON Remember... - - - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Kashyyyk: Beachhead [MKB6F] A Line in the Sand Difficulty Rating: 5/10 Important Command Post(s): The Wookie Base, the CIS vehicle spawning one. Availabe Game Modes: Conquest, 2 flag CTF, Hunt Objectives: Defend the Beachhead Fall back behind the seawall Defend the refinery thing Recommended Unit: Sniper or Trooper Heros: Yoda, Jango Fett, Chewbacca, Boba Fett. Intro: Kashyyyk is a lush jungle planet where treetops serve as homes for the native Wookiees, a towering fur-covered species known to be ferocious warriors. The planet serves as a navigation gateway for the entire southwest quadrant of the galaxy, making it of prime strategic importance. During the Clone Wars, the Separatists attempted to subjugate Kashyyyk by invading it with their droid armies. Story Mode: Objective 1: Start out as a Clone Trooper at the southernmost Command Post. Run behind the small wall nearest to the waters edge, and get ready. About 6 Wookies should be around you. The vehicles will most probably reach you first, so duck down and let them by, maybe chucking a grenade or two if any come close. Next, the infantry will hit. Blast at them with your Rifle. Stay near the Command Post, so you don't lose it. If you die, sprint back to the CP, it will fall very quickly without you there. After a while, you will be told to fall back behind the seawall. Objective 2: I have heard there is a 'gate winch', which controls the gate. I'm not sure which side of the wall its on. So, shoot anyone who walks in through the sides, and try not to let the wall fall. Objective 3: Once the CIS break through the wall, tanks will pour through. I suggest standing on the wooden platforms, and changing to a Heavy Trooper when a tank comes. Change back to kill enemy droids. After a few minutes of this, you are told to retake Kashyyyk. So, say Yes to when you arre offered Yoda, and sprint over to the farthest CP. Stand on the Command Post, and Force Push anyone who gets too close. Once you capture it, go along the beach and capture the next CP. Take\ the last two Posts to win. Remember... - - - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Utapau: Sinkhole [MUS6G] Underground Ambush Difficulty Rating: 4/10 Important Command Post(s): The Highway (2) Availabe Game Modes: Conquest, 1`flag CTF (?) Objectives: Recommended Unit: Trooper, possibly heavy weapons Heros: Obi-Wan, General Grievous, Han Solo, Boba Fett Intro: Ringed by numerous moons, the remote sanctuary of Utapau is a planet pitted with enormous sinkholes. Its windswept surface is dry and desert-like, but deep in the porous crust, at the bottom of the sinkhole are pools of life-giving water. Many of the sinkholes on one of the planet's small continents are lined with intricate cities that stretch deep into caves and crevices beneath the planet's surface. Story Mode: Spawn as a Clone Trooper, and sprint towards your first objective. A CP on a raised section. Sprint up the stairs, and run round to the Post. Usually a sniper is sitting up here, but should provide no problem. Take it, then jump down to help your mates on the highway. Get to the CP, and begin to take it. A Tank will probably start up the road, so take cover and let it pass, while giving it a few grenades from behind. I believe you will now get the option to become Obi-Wan. Sprint over to the hangar, and take the Command Post. Swipe at anyone who gets near you, but stay near the CP. Greivous will now appear. Sprint over to him, and keep Force Pushing him until he goes over the edge. YOu now have to destroy an energy core thing. If you still have Kenobi, hack at it with your 'saber. If not, spawn as a Heavy Trooper at the CP you started out with. Stand a little ay back, and blast it. Throw a few 'nades to finish it off. Remember... - - - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Coruscant: Jedi Temple [MJT6H] Knightfall Difficulty Rating: 8/10 Important Command Post(s): Availabe Game Modes: Conquest, 2 flag CTF Objectives: Recommended Unit: Commander, Trooper Heros: Mace Windu, Darth Maul, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader. Intro: Situated in the heart of the galaxy, Coruscant was the seat of government for the Galactic Republic and the Empire that supplanted it. Over thousands of years of civilization, the planet has been entirely enveloped by cityscapes and urban sprawl. Immense skyscrapers reach high into the atmosphere, and stretch down deep into the dark shadows. Crisscrossing the skyline are streams of unending repulsorlift traffic. Even in the depths of night, Coruscant is alive with glittering lights and rivers of traffic, a bustling megalopolis that refuses to sleep. Here is a strategy submitted by 'Darius Shadowlight'. Also, a bit of a tip for the story mode stage Knightfall. One of the last objectives requires you to kill a Jedi Master and retrive a holocron from him, but as anyone who's done that mission knows, it can get frustrating. There is a way to kill the little so-and-so with almost no threat to yourself. He spawns near a CP and always returns to it if he chases anyone, so you always know where he is. Luckily, there are a pair of big-time choke points to the north and south of the room. It's a simple matter of placing a mine or det-pack there, taking a shot or two to get his attention, then standing back and letting the explosive do what they do best - then get the holocron and run like a scared little girl. Remember... - - - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CHAPTER TWO - THE GALACTIC CIVIL WAR ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Naboo: Theed [MNT6I] Imperial Diplomacy Difficulty Rating: 6/10 Important Command Post(s): The one in the big circle... Availabe Game Modes: Conquest, 2 flag CTF, Hunt Objectives: Recommended Unit: Trooper Heros: Obi-Wan, Darth Maul, Leia, The Emperor. Intro: An idyllic world close to the border of the Outer Rim Territories, Naboo is inhabited by peaceful humans known as the Naboo, and an indigenous species of intelligent amphibians called the Gungans. Here is a great strategy submitted by Plushie: The modified map of Theed is easy to overtake if you use the right strategy. No matter which side you pick, try to enclose the enemy on either side by taking control of the western and eastern CPs. (Directions according to the map brought up by hitting SELECT.) To do this, start out by capturing either the eastern or the western post, order two soldiers to follow you, and proceed to the north. This central area has several bridges leading back to the main parts of the map; go all the way to the other side, cross that far bridge, and proceed to the eastern or western CP on that side. When both western and eastern CPs are captured, overtake the two CPS on the stairs and it should be easy rounding the rest of your enemies up. Remember... - - - --------------------------------------------------------------------- Mustafar: Space [MMS6J] Preventative Measures Difficulty Rating: 5/10 Important Command Post(s): N/A Availabe Game Modes: Assault, 1 flag CTF Objectives: Recommended Unit: Pilot Heros: N/A Remember... - - - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mustafar: Refinery [MMR6K] Tying up Loose Ends Difficulty Rating: 6/10 Important Command Post(s): None in particular. Availabe Game Modes: Conquest, 2 flag CTF Objectives: Recommended Unit: Trooper Heros: Obi-Wan, Darth Maul, ???, ??? Intro: Located in the Outer Rim, the tiny planet of Mustafar is a fiery world where lava is mined like a precious natural resource. Its bleak landscape is a visual assault of jagged obsidian mountains with towering fountains of fire and lava blasting from beneath the surface. This lava also streaks the blasted landscape in huge winding rivers and plunging cataracts. Mustafar's skies are obscured by choking black clouds of ash, smoke and tephra. The intense geological activity creates natural scanning interference that has kept prying eyes away from Mustafar for most of its history. Remember... - - - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Kamino: Cloning Facility [MKC6L] Changing of the Guard Difficulty Rating: 7/10 Important Command Post(s): The inside CP's. Availabe Game Modes: Conquest, 1 flag CTF (?) Objectives: Recommended Unit: Jet/Dark Trooper, Trooper Heros: Obi Wan, Jango Fett, Han, Boba Fett. Intro: Purged from the otherwise complete Jedi Archives is all evidence of the mysterious world of Kamino. A lonely world beyond the Outer Rim and just south of the Rishi Maze, few could have predicted that Kamino would become a key contributor to a massive shift in political power in the waning days of the Republic. Remember... - - - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Death Star: Interior [MDI6M] Prison Break Difficulty Rating: 8/10 Important Command Post(s): The hangars. Availabe Game Modes: Conquest, 1 flag CTF Objectives: Recommended Unit: Trooper Heros: Obi Wan, The Emperor, Luke Skywalker, The Emperor Story Mode: Objective 1: Start as a Storm Trooper. Walk to the left of the room you're in, and meet up with your squad. Crouch down behind some crates, facing the Blast Doors. Waves of Rebels will come pouring through the doors. Keep shooting at them. They barely attack you, so you should be fine. Once they stop, and you are given your next objective, head through the doors and down the corridoor. TBC. Remember... - - - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Polis Massa: Medical Facility [MPM6N] Birth of the Rebellion Difficulty Rating: 7/10 Important Command Post(s): The CP's at either end. Availabe Game Modes: Conquest, 2 flag CTF Objectives: Recommended Unit: Trooper, Engineer Heros: Yoda, General Grievous, Leia, The Emperor. Intro: A jumbled collection of lazily floating asteroids, Polis Massa is a small Outer Rim mining settlement far removed from the more populated areas of the galaxy. The airless rocks are host to sealed outposts inhabited by the strangely silent Polis Massan aliens. Conquest: This is a fairly simple map for Conquest. All the Command Posts are basically in a line, so start out at the CP closest to the enemy, and slowly move through the hallways. Move slowly, and don't let anyone slip by. If they do, it makes it easy for them to take a command post and trap you in the middle. This leads me to my next strategy. The map curves around, and there is a large open space in the center. You can take a tank from certain points, to the other side of the map. Grab a teammate, and drive over the other side. Hop out, and steal a CP. YOu can then rush down the halls, capturing your enemy in a brilliant pincer move. 2 Flag CTF: You have two choices in this level: Attack and Defense. I will deal with each separately, its up to you to decide which role you want to take. Playing defensively will take longer, but you'll have less chance of losin, while Attack will get the game over quite quickly, but your enemy will be able to easily sneak a few captures in. Attack:Spawn at your furthest-up CP, and take a few buddies. Rush up through the corridoors until you meet enemy resistance. Shoot a few, and rush in between them. Kepe running and shooting until you get to their flag. Grab it, and run back the same way you came. Try to cover as much ground as you can before you get shot. Repeat until you score. Defense: Near your flag, but a bit forward there will be a yellow-ish room with a table in the middle. Two doors will lead back to your flag, |
