Introduction ----------------- Welcome to our FAQ/Walkthrough for Summoner on PS2. I say "our" because that's what this is. Although I was the sole contributor in the beginning, I encourage others to help me create what I hope to be the best FAQ for this game. As of the date that this is posted it's the only one that covers the whole game (as far as I know that is). This, however, is the first guide I've ever written so you'll have to exhibit a little patience if I make a mistake or do things that confuse you. If I make a mistake or confuse you, I expect you to e-mail me and tell me about it. Like I said, I'd like for this to be the best FAQ available and I can only do it with your help. Contributions are always welcome. In my Requests to the Reader sections, I'll post anything I need help with or any questions I may have for you, the reader. The reason I'm doing is because of the fact that there simply isn't a single useful FAQ for this game right now. I've always wanted to do an FAQ anyway, but every game I have already has enough FAQs to cover every aspect of it. When I saw the FAQs that were available I decided that this would be the prime game for me to write one for. In other FAQs, some of the authors have stated that writing one is a lot of work. I can say now that I completely agree with them. I've put in 150+ hours toward this thing and I'm not done yet. So for all of you that would also like to write a FAQ in the future, make sure you know what you're doing. A RPG has got to be the hardest kind of game to write a FAQ for. They require so much more detail than most games in other genres. This game is definitely no exception. Summoner is a game that tells the story of Joseph, a young man born with the mark of the Summoner. Through the use of magical rings, Summoners have the power to call forth demons and control them. However, to the north in Orenia is the Emperor Murod, a powerful sorcerer who wants Joseph dead. With his unworldly powers, Murod launches a campaign whose sole purpose is to find Joseph. When Murod's forces reach Joseph's home of Masad our story begins. _______________________________________________________________________ IV. Just run around using the left stick. When you come up to people you wanna talk to, hit X, select who you want to talk to, and hit X again. When you wanna search something go up to it and hit X. If anything is nearby the game will say so. Fighting- Combat in this game isn't all that complex. You basically rush the enemies and beat them into a pulp, making sure not to loose anyone in the process. Losing Joseph is a VERY bad thing if you have a summoned monster with you. Upon Joseph's death the monster will turn on you and you've gotta kill it. Magic is useful of course. You'll be using the Heal spell a lot, and I mean a lot. Your summon monsters never seem to have a whole bunch of HP and need to be healed constantly. Protect is a very good spell though. Use Protect every time you encounter a boss, it really does help. When Joseph learns Flame Arrow and Fireball you're pretty much set. You can use these two spells in combination to seriously damage enemies before you start your melee. Chain attacks though are the most important thing about fighting. Those of you who've played Vagrant Story for PS1 will feel at home with chains. Chain attacks can be hard to master, but once you do it'll make fighting a lot easier. However, if you have a slow weapon equipped, i.e. any two-handed weapon, this will through the timing of you chains off. This makes it harder to chain your attacks together. Tutorials: Basic Controls Tutorial- This tutorial will explain the basic controls for Summoner. You can quit this or any other tutorial at any time by pressing triangle. Joseph can be moved using the left analog stick. To move forward, push the stick forward (away from you). Pulling the stick back (toward you) causes Joseph to move toward the camera. Pushing the stick left or right makes Joseph run in that direction. While Joseph is running, the camera automatically positions itself behind him. You can also manually control the camera using the right analog stick. Moving the right stick forward or backward zooms in the camera in or out, respectively. Pushing left or right on the stick rotates the camera around Joseph. The rotation can be reversed in the [Options] menu. You can switch camera modes by depressing (pressing down on) the left analog stick [L3]. The following camera modes are available: Low- the camera remains close to the ground and positions itself behind Joseph, unless you enter a small indoor area. High- the camera remains above Joseph in a three- quarter view of the action. This view is useful in combat situations involving many creatures. Auto- the camera automatically switches between High and Low views, depending on the situation. This is the default camera view. Pressing down on the right analog stick [R3] causes the camera to automatically swing behind Joseph if it has been rotated away. The [Start] button pauses the game at any time. Dialogue Tutorial- This is Joseph's friend Mulik. Joseph can talk to nearby friendly characters by pressing X. The game pauses. A cursor appears under the nearest character in range and a bubble appears over his or her head. You can cycle through all characters in range with the left analog stick. Characters with important information have double exclamation marks over their heads. Once you have selected the character with whom you would like to speak, press X again to initiate a conversation with that character. Go ahead and talk to Mulik. When Joseph is talking to a character, the dialogue appears in the top half of the window. The bottom half of the window contains a list of relevant topics that Joseph can ask about. When a topic has been covered, it is removed from the topic list. New topics are added to the list as more information is uncovered. Access to new topics can also be gained after completing quests or talking to other characters. Mulik has quit a bit to tell Joseph! Go ahead and continue talking to him. You can stop a conversation at any time by choosing the "Farewell" topic or pressing triangle. Remember that many characters in Summoner have important and interesting things to say! Talk to everyone you can. Basic Combat Tutorial- This Orenian Scout is about to attack Joseph. Joseph will have to fight back. You can attack enemies by pressing X when they are in range. When you press X, the game pauses and a cursor appears under the nearest enemy in range. You can cycle through all enemies in range with the left analog stick. The red bar over the enemy represents its current Hit Points (HP), which decrease as he takes damage. After you have selected the enemy you would attack, press X again. Once a target has been selected, Joseph automatically engages the enemy. He continues to fight until he or his foe runs out of HP, or you issue him another command. The red bar next to Joseph's portrait represents his current HP. If Joseph's HP drops to zero, he falls down, incapacitated and unable to move or perform any action. If everyone in your group is incapacitated, the game ends and you must either reload from a saved game or start a new game. If an enemy attacks Joseph and you do not respond, Joseph automatically draws his weapon and defends himself. During combat, numbers appear over the characters' heads. Numbers in white represent damage to enemies. Numbers in yellow represent damage to Joseph and his friends. Numbers in blue represent percentage modifiers to that character's attack. You receive a bonus for attacking a creature from above or behind and are penalized for attacking from below. The game will now unpause and the Scout will attack Jospeh. When the guard died, he dropped his weapon. You can pick up nearby items on the ground by pressing X. You see a targeting cursor like the one used to target characters, but it appears on the item that is closest to you. As with targeting characters, you can use the left analog stick to change the targeted item. During battle, Joseph may take damage. Joseph has a spell called Heal that he can cast to restore HP to himself or others in his party. You can access the spells menu by pressing O. Joseph can also use healing potions that are in his inventory. You can access the Inventory screen by pressinr triangle and selecting the Inventory option from the menu. Chain Attack Tutorial- During combat, Joseph has the ability to perform chains of special attacks. Chain attacks can be used only in melee combat and cost Ability Points (AP) to perform. Notice the chain symbol that appears over Joseph's head just as he is about to swing at his opponent. Chain attacks can be executed only while this symbol is visible. To perform a Chain Attack, press one of the four directional buttons: Up, Down, Left, or Right. The direction you choose determines which special attack Joseph performs. Pushing it Up causes Joseph to perform an Added Blow attack. If successful, this attack inflicts normal damage. Pushing Down causes Joseph to perform a Desperation attack. If successful, this attack inflicts damage proportional to the HPs Joseph has lost. The lower his remaining HPs, the more damage he inflicts. Pushing Left causes Joseph to perform a Confusion attack. If successful, this attack drains AP from the opponent. Pushing Right causes Joseph to perform a Push attack. If successful, this attack pushes the opponent backward, and gives Joseph more time to perform the next Chain Attack. Once Joseph has performed a Chain Attack often enough, he gains access to new Chain Attacks. You can assign these new Chain Attacks to the directional buttons. Go to the Skills menu to do this. After each successful Chain Attack, you are given a chance to perform another. Your opponent cannot attack you while you are chaining attacks together. Each Chain Attack you perform must be different from the previous one. There is no limit to the number of attacks that may be chained together, but the chain symbol appears for a shorter period of time with each successive attack. If you attempt a Chain Attack before the chain symbol appears or after is disapears, the attack fails and the chain is broken. With practice though, you will be able to chain many attacks together, giving the enemy no chance to strike back! One more thing to remember: Wielding a faster weapon makes performing Chain Attacks easier. It may be to your advantage to equip a faster weapon that does less damage, if it enables you to chain more attacks together. Level Up Tutorial- Joseph has reached experience level 2! Experience is gained by defeating enemies and completing quests. When enough experience points have been accumulated, Joseph will attain the next experience level. Each time Joseph levels up, his maximum HPs and APs increase. He also gets Skill Points that can be used to improve his Skills. A flashing "+" symbol appears on Joseph's portrait if he has Skill Points to distribute. To distribute Skill Points, press triangle and choose the Skills option from the menu. Skill Points- From this screen (Skills) you can distribute Skill Points to Skills that are available to Joseph. On the right-hand side of the screen is the full list of Skills that are at his disposal. By scrolling Up or Down, you can select the Skill you want to raise. Pressing X raises the selected Skill by one point. No Skill Level can be higher than the character's current experience level. Skill points assignments are permanent, so make sure you choose wisely before pressing X. Spells Tutorial- This is the Spells menu. Along the top of the menu are the six different circles of Spells: Heal, Dark, Energy, Holy, Fire, and Ice. You can scroll between the various circles by moving left or right. You can select Spells within a circle by moving up or down. Circles in which Joseph does not have any Spells are not available. At level 1, Joseph has access to the Heal Spell. To cast Heal, press either X or O when the Spell is highlighted. A cursor appears below Joseph, indicating that he is the current target of the Spell. A window also appears, listing the available targets for the Spell. A Spell that helps Joseph and his allies can be used only on them, while an offensive Spell can target only enemies. You can scroll through the target list by moving up or down. Once the target has been selected, press X or O to cast the spell. Using a Spell costs Ability Points (AP), represented by the blue bar next to Joseph's portrait. Characters recover AP slowly over time or by drinking potions. As Jospeh's Skill in a Spell circle increases, he gains access to more powerful Spells in that circle. Higher level Spells cost more AP than lower level ones. You can see the current level of your Spell circles by pressing triangle and choosing the Skills option from the menu. Skills Tutorial- This is the Skills menu. Along the top of the menu are the six different categories of Skills: Combat, Stealth, Creation, Examination, Weapons, and Spells. You can scroll between the various categories by moving left or right. You can select Skills within a category by moving up or down. Categories in which Joseph does not have any Skills are not available. There are two types of Skills: Active and Passive. Active Skills are used like Spells -- by pressing X or square buttons. Using an Active Skill costs Ability Points (AP), represented by the blue bar next to Joseph's portrait. Characters recover AP slowly over time or by drinking potions. Currently, Joseph doesn't have any Active Skills. More Skills will become available to him as he gains experience levels. Passive Skills are automatically activated in the appropriate situation. You can see the status of Passive Skills in the Skills menu but they are never selectable. The Weapons and Spells categories do not contain any Active Skills. The Skills in these categories represent Joseph's proficiency with these weapons or spells. At level 1, Joseph has a low proficiency with Sword Weapons. This means that he can wield swords but is not particularly skilled in their use. Skills are rated from 1 to 10, with 1 being the lowest. You can see the current level of your Skills by pressing triangle and choosing the Skills option from the menu. Group Tutorial- Flece has now joined your party! When exploring, Flece automatically follows you. During combat, Flece attacks, defends, and uses special abilities based on her current instructions. You can change her instructions by pressing triangle and choosing the Status option from the menu. The different instruction sets are explained in the manual. There are special commands that you can now use with multiple characters in your party. Pressing L2 or R2 enables you to switch to the previous or next party member, respectively. You can also enter Solo Mode by pressing R1. When in Solo Mode, other party members will not follow you, and if you enter combat, they will not assist you. However, if they are attacked, they fight back. Flece has access to more Skills than Joseph started with. Her thievery abilities allow her to pick locks, and kick and backstab enemies. Press square to access the Skills menu. Ring Tutorial- You've just received your first summoning ring, the Ring of Darkness! Each summoning ring you obtain enables you to summon a different creature. For instance, with the Ring of Darkness you can summon a Blackfire Elemental. The experience level of the summoned creature depends on how much power the corresponding ring has accumulated. Although you do not need to be wearing a summoning ring to summon the corresponding creature, the ring gains power only while you have it equipped. Creatures cannot be summoned in town. Also, once you leave a level, any creature Joseph has summoned is removed from the party. Now open the Inventory screen and equip Joseph with the Ring of Darkness. Joseph is now wearing the Ring of Darkness. Whenever Joseph gains experience, any summoning rings he is wearing gain power proportional to the experience he gained. The proportion of experience gained by equipped rings depends on Joseph's Summon Skill. The higher his Summon Skill, the more power his summoning rings gain with each point of experience. Once a summoning ring has gained enough power, a second creature becomes available for Joseph to summon. ________________________________________________________________________ V. Characters ------------- This section provides a brief description of the four playable characters. Followed by the description is a chart that tells what your XP needs to be to reach a certain level and what level the characters learn their various Skills. There's also info on how the character strengthens when gaining levels. Joseph: Joseph is a young man who was born with the mark of the Summoner and feels that his power is a curse instead of a blessing. Nine years ago, raiders attacked his home village of Ciran. To protect everything he loved, he summoned a demon to fight the raiders. Because he was young, Joseph was not able to control the demon and it turned on the village. Everyone was killed by the demon. Overwhelmed by guilt, Joseph discarded his summoning ring in a well and swore never to use his powers again. However, he could not run from his destiny. Intent on killing him, Emperor Murod sends his army after him, forcing Joseph to use his powers once again. In various sections I will be referring to the four playable characters as such: Joseph (Jo), Jekhar (Je), Flece (Fl), Rosalind (Ro) ________________________________________________________________________ VI. Walkthrough --------------- Well, here's the walkthrough. At the beginning of each section I've listed the place, shops, items, enemies and quests that apply to the area. For very large places with multiple areas, I've divided the walkthrough into sub-sections. The city of Lenele is a good example of this. Lenele is made up of 10 areas, and 2 of them are dungeons. I divided everything up to help avoid confusion and for easy reference. 1. The Destruction of Your Second Home Place: Masad Village Items: 10 GP Revive Scroll 3 GP Cleansing Tonic 5 GP 10 GP Revive Scroll Blue Pants Cloth Gloves Tristan's Libation Recovery Tonic Enemies: Orenian Scout x20 Barbarian Fighter (Boss) Quests: Aesik's Sword (Aesik) Find Yago (Nath) Once the opening cinema is finished you enter a basic controls tutorial. When you have finished reading the tutorial (or skipped it), you now have control of Joseph. Run around and get used to the controls of the game. You should bring up the Spells menu with the O button. I suggest this so you can get the magic tutorial out of the way. Whenever you're finished head southwest toward a villager named Mulik. Just before you reach him you'll enter the dialogue tutorial. Now that that's over, you're free to explore a new area. However, not far ahead you'll come across an Orenian Scout attacking a villager. This will begin the basic combat tutorial. After you kill the scout the game will tell you about picking up items that the enemy has dropped. After that, walk a little further until you come across a man named Aesik (he's crawling on the ground with his hands). Talking to him will give you the "Aesik's Sword" quest. Heading almost directly east from Aesik you can loop around the area where you started. Behind the barrels where you started will be a dead villager 10 GP beside him. There's also a Revive Scroll in the crates next to the building a bit further from you. Head east and you'll see a scout harassing a villager. After the scout walks away, run him through. Don't bother talking to the villager, he doesn't like you. On the other side of the building are some barrels with 3 GP in them. Head north now and take the left path. You'll go up the hill and end up next to a barn. Straight down the stone path will be a building that's nothing more than some burnt beams. Behind the house and to the left along the fence line you'll find a Cleansing Tonic. Continue to run around the village killing all the scouts in the area. When you get to the well examine it to find 5 GP. At the eastern edge of the village you'll a see a large building with crates on its left and right sides. On the left side you'll find a Revive Scroll, and on the right 10 GP. From that house, head down the path on the right side of it. When you get the fork, look behind the hut and you'll find the Blue Pants. Once you grab the Blue Pants take the right path. Continue on until you come to a small hut. There are some Cloth Gloves on the left side and Tristan's Libation in the barrels on the other side. Now head south and then east along the riverbank. After awhile you'll come across three people talking in front of the bridge. Talk to Nath and he'll tell you to cross the bridge and take a boat to leave Masad. He'll also mention that Yago, you're old teacher, lives in Lenele. Finding out about Yago will give the "Find Yago" quest. Before you go across the bridge make sure you save, especially if you haven't done so yet. When you cross the bridge a short cinema will play where you see the Barbarian Fighter, the first boss of the game. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Boss Fight: Barbarian Fighter The Barbarian Fighter isn't all that tough. If you took the time to kill every Scout you'll be at level 3 which helps. If you're also good at chain attacks you can kill him without him getting more than one turn. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Once you've dispatched of the Barbarian, grab the Recovery Tonic in the crates. From there just head straight toward the boat. After another cinema you'll find yourself on the world map. It is very important that the first thing you do is save. The reason is because if you get into an Encounter, you might not survive. Right now you just aren't strong enough to take on those kinds of fights (being alone doesn't help either). So if you get into an encounter RUN LIKE HELL! There is however one exception to this. If there are Green Bacites in the Encounter you can take them on. Just try not to fight more than one at once just to be on the safe side. Well anyway, back to the world map. The game has already put you facing southwest toward Lenele so just head in a straight line. Lenele isn't far from Masad so don't worry about getting lost. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2. The City of Gods Place: Lenele Areas: Lenele Outskirts Lenele Marketplace Lenele Old City Lenele Crown District Lenele Temple Plaza Temple of Urath Lenele Sewers (Dungeon) Lenele Palace Aqueduct (Dungeon) Lenele Palace Lenele Palace Plaza Welcome to Lenele, AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Let me just say one thing, this city is HUGE! Lenele is made up of ten areas. Some of these areas are pretty big and can be confusing. Not to mention that there are several shops of each kind and a TON of NPCs walking about. So, for your sake (and mine) I've divided this part of the walkthrough into sub-sections. I'll cover each area in a seperate sub-section. This way it'll be easier for you to find things for you. Also the amount of NPCs brings up a point I'd like to make. It's unnecessary to talk to every NPC. The only ones you really need to talk to are the ones with the double exclamation points over there heads. They're the ones that can provide you with useful information, give you quests, are parts of quests, or are merchants. So anyways, on with the game. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2a. At the Edge of Vastness Place: Lenele Outskirts Shops: Weapon Smith x1 Item x1 Items: Healing Draught 20 GP Fiery Falchion Recovery Tonic Icicle Rune Quests: Durgan's Lucky Charm (Durgan) Seeds of Aahur (Beelon) Crazy Iven (Crazy Iven) At the Outskirts you start at a stone bridge. From there head straight till you come to some stairs that lead down to a dock. On the dock you'll find Durgan who gives you the "Durgan's Lucky Charm" quest. This quest is so long and such a pain in the arse that I'm putting the solution in the Quests section. Well now that you've talked to Durgan, climb back up the stairs. Head toward the crates straight ahead and grab the Healing Draught. Then go southeast to some crates that are to the left of a wagon to find 20 GP. Now walk along the wall of the city heading southwest and you'll see two NPCs. The one closest to the wall is Beelon who gives you "The Seeds of Aahur" quest. Next to the canopy is Crazy Iven who gives you the "Crazy Iven" quest. Head left from Iven and there'll be a platform with a fish hanging from it. Examine the fish and you'll get the Fiery Falchion which ends the "Crazy Iven" quest. Northeast from those two you'll find a Recovery Tonic in the group of crates. In the southeast corner, you'll find a weaponsmith. In the crates nearby you'll also find an Icicle Rune. Head for the exit to the where you'll find an item shop and another NPC. The NPC goes by the name The Great Ragneli and he gives you the "Ragneli's Robber's" quest. *Note: Every quest that can be finished on the world map will have it's solution in the Quests section. Now you're done with the Outskirts and are ready to move to the Lenele Marketplace. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2b. Don't Forget Your Coin Purse Place: Lenele Marketplace Shops: Weapon Smith x2 Armorer x1 Item x2 Items: 15 GP Healing Draught Cleansing Tonic Lightning Rune Quests: The Sword of Jarl (Jarl) Cerval's Game (Mercer) Well here's the Marketplace. This area's kinda disappointing. I say this because it's so huge but there are only a couple of shops. I think they should've taken every shop in the city and put it here. Oh well. Let's get it on! To your left you'll find a big area full of barrels, crates, and carts. All that's in here though is 15 GP. To your right is an even bigger section filled with merchant's booths. Here there's two item shops and one weaponsmith. In the southern part of this section you'll find a Healing Draught in some crates next to a red booth. Also in this section are some stairs that lead down to the river. Don't worry about that now, the path leads to the Sewers and we don't need to go there yet. As you attempt to cross the bridge into the southern part of the Marketplace you come across Jekhar. Through a rather unpleasant conversation he tells you that Yago is counselor to Prince Sornehan. After your through talking with Jekhar, continue across the bridge. At the other side there's a soldier on the right. This is Earis, the nephew of Aesik. Giving him Aesik's sword completes the quest and it gets you a Bastard Sword and 100 XP. Now we're going to continue down the right side of the street and circle back to the bridge. So, continuing on the right side, you'll come across Jarl the Smith. Jarl gives you "The Sword of Jarl" quest. Continue down the right side until you get to the bridge. Turn left, and go down the short street in front of you. At the end of the street you'll find a weaponsmith. Krys the Lantern Maker is also there, you'll need to come back to him later for "The Lord Chamberlain's Men" quest. Leave the street and go down what is NOW the right side of the main street. Not far away you'll find Mercer the Tailor. Talking to Mercer gives you the "Cerval's Game" quest. Continuing on, the main street eventually turns left. At the turn there's a side street to the right with a Cleansing Tonic hiding in some barrels at the end. Standing at the turn is Bibrus the Bookseller, remember where he is because he's part of a quest. Turning left you'll find a 'L' shaped street to the right, right before the bridge. Down here is an armorer. Where the street turns to form the 'L' you'll find a Lightning Rune in some barrels. Take the bridge here to go to Lenele Old City. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2c. Rat City Place: Lenele Old City Shops: Armorer x1 Item x1 Jeweler x1 Quests: Shards of the Ghimaadi (Varyssa) The Infestation (Merden) The Salt Smuggler's (Pedrog) The Merchant of Orenia(Aravind) The Beggar's Eyes (A Beggar With No Eyes) The Rag Doll (Weeping Butcher) The Salamanka's Tongue (Apothecary) For this part I'm gonna cover the southern section of the Old City first and then the northern part. Because of all the alleys here it can get a little confusing to navigate. Just refer to the in-game map if you get confused. To your left from where you start there's an Item shop. On the northeastern side of the Keep nearby you'll find Varyssa. Varyssa gives you the "Shards of the Ghimaadi" quest. Also, walking around the Keep is Gebbin the Pawnbroker who is part of the "Durgan's Lucky Charm" quest. Southwest from the Keep you'll find Ivas the Gambler who's also part of the same quest. Toward the end of that same street you come across a '[' shaped alley. Down here you'll find Merden who gives you "The Infestation" quest. This quest is a good way to make some extra money. For every Bacite Tail you bring Mercer you get 50 GP. At this point in the game where money is very hard to come by this quest is extremely helpful. At the end of the street you'll find an Item shop. On the left side of that building you'll see a thief named Pedrog. Pedrog will give you "The Salt Smugglers" quest. On the raised part of the Old City you'll find an Item shop near the Keep. There's a street west of the stairs that lead to the raised part of the city. Down this street you'll find Dagis the Forger. This street will come to a dead end further on. Here you see Starvus the Skulk. After you get Flece, you can come back here and get him to give the key to the door he's guarding. This door leads to Tancred's Haven. This small area is covered in sub-section 2d. In the north section of the Old City, right next to the middle bridge to the Marketplace is an armorer. In the northwestern part you'll see the burnt down ruins of two houses. In the ruins of the larger house you'll see two men talking. Talk to the one named Aravind and you'll get "The Merchant of Orenia" quest. Just east of the south side of the smaller house is A Beggar With No Eyes. He'll give you "The Beggar's Eyes" quest. A little south of the beggar is a Weeping Butcher. The Weeping Butcher will give you "The Rag Doll" quest. If you talk to the Apothecary (his store is next to the southern most bridge) after getting "The Beggar's Eyes" quest, he'll give you "The Salamanka's Tongue" quest. Well, your done here for now. Leave the Old City and cross the Marketplace to the northern bridge into the Crown District. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2d. The King of Fleas Place: Tancred's Haven Shops: Weapon Smith x1 Items: Health Tonic Health Tonic Quests: Tancred's Assassin (Mahri) This area is made up of a couple of rooms. From where you start you can find a Health Tonic in the wall to the left. Around the corner is Gus. He'll sell you a couple weapons, but you can also sell him almost everything in your Inventory. Round the next corner and go up the ramp, turn left and go through the door. In here is Mahri the Crooked. Mahr will give you the "Tancred's Assassin" quest. There's also a Health Tonic in the crate across from the doorway. You're done here so feel free to leave. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2e. Snob Hill Place: Lenele Crown District Shops: Armorer x2 Jeweler x1 Items: 10 GP Amethyst Quests: The Encyclopedia of Heresies (Zefnat) Pomporo's Heirloom (Pomporo) The Crown District isn't as big as the Old City, and it's a lot nicer. Of course it can still be a little confusing at times. The |
