You can't have stairs. But if you get the Sims 2 Pets, then you'll be able to get some
pets.

if u wanna have an upstairs for the sims2 game on ps2 then the cheat code is R1 X L2
Circle up L3 Down R1. If u want it on PC i dont know about any other sims on PC except
sims 1. u can have an upstairs. just go to buy mode and click on the stairs. but no pets
