2.0 Introduction

Welcome to my faq. This is the second time I'm writing a Sims faq. The
first one was on the Urbz: Sims in the City. I received such
overwhelming response that I decided to write another faq. Since this is
only my second faq, I'm still an amateur,so please forgive
me if I make any mistakes during typing or some errors in the faq.

This is the 1st Sims 2 for PS2 faq ever made! Yee haa!
My faq is finally complete! Both freeplay and story mode in it.
Plus all gold wants listed as the others are optional to the game.

3.0 Getting Started
_____________________
Here are some basics you need to know before playing the game. The main
purpose of this game is to complete your aspirations mainly the gold
aspirations as it will enable you to move on to another location.
All other aspirations are OPTIONAL!!
Firstly, there are two modes. Freeplay mode and Storymode. I will be
discussing both the modes.
NOTE: NO KIDS BUT YOU CAN GET MARRIED AND WOOHOO!
Warning: Storymode and Freeplay mode share a single game save.
The Different Menus
a) Notice on the left side of the screen there's a circle.

3.1 Locations

There are 8 locations with 4 bonus sites to go.

IMPORTANT! Do not interact with ANY alien if you have not been to the
Alien Crash site. Follow or restart your game!

3.2 Needs
___________
There are 8 basic needs. The box will change color from green to light
orange to red and black when completely empty.
To know your basic needs: Press the left button and Square if you need
details.
1) Social Interaction: Have mostly green to ensure that your Sim has
enough interaction with other Sims. Sims need to interact with others
and have friends. If the bar is completely empty, your Sim may show signs
of depression.
2) Bladder: You will need to go to the toilet!! The more you eat, the more
frequent you will need to use the toilet. If you do not go to the toilet
in time, your sims will wet themselves. Eeekss... your Sim will end up
being dirty and have to take a shower.
3) Shower: Besides bladder control, your Sim need to have regular baths. If
not, swarms of flies will surround your Sim and other Sims will avoid him or
her as they will stink!
4) Hunger: You need to eat in order to survive. Head down straight to the
refrigerator to cook a meal. There is a new addition to cooking your meals.
You are able to select the ingredients for each meal. More details will
be discussed later. Green indicates that your Sim is full.
5) Fun: Everyone needs to have fun even your Sims. So please do fun things
like dancing to the Stereo or watching TV, playing games or watever that is
FUN.
6) Energy: This is important as your Sims need to rest. Either sleep on a
bed or for quick naps, buy a couch and select power nap! Remember that if
your Sim is too tired, he/she may fall asleep on the floor. Poor thing!
7) Comfort: Simply rest on a bed or a couch.
8) Room: Your Sims wants to live in a clean environment. Toilets
and the kitchen constantly gets dirty. Clean the toilet bowls, bathtubs,
any puddles of water and clear all used plates or they will give out a
repulsive smell marked by some green odour.
Also take out the trash once the wastebasket is full. If you are too lazy,
call the maid. It is $10/- per hour.

3.3 Aspiration & Fears

This is the latest addition to the game. Instead of completing goals in the
other games, you will be needed to fulfil your Sims' aspirations.
Aspirations are basically the hopes and wishes of the Sims. Different Sims
will have different aspirations depending on what aspiration you select when
creating your Sim. Aspirations will or may change on a daily basis when you
Sim wakes up from sleep or a nap. The most important aspiration to fulfil
is the gold aspiration. It will lead you further into the game and unlock
new locations.
The most important aspirations are the gold ones. Once you have a
cumulative aspiration points of 27,900 points, you don't exactly have to
bother about the others because once you have 27,900 points, you will
have unlocked all the 50 items.
** Remember you only need to complete the gold ones! All other aspirations
are optional! **
There are 5 different aspirations: romance, wealth, knowledge, popularity
and creativity.
Besides aspirations, your Sim also has fears. Be sure to avoid fears.
To know what are the aspirations and fear:
Press the right button. You will see a scale. Press on square button
and the details will be shown. The more aspirations you fulfil, the higher
the scale will be. Initially it will be in green but if most aspirations are
fulfilled it will turn silver and gold. However, if you have fulfilled more
fears than aspirations, the scale will turn red.
Death can occur if there is a fire or if the Sim is poisoned by food!
Don't worry. Your Sim will turn into a ghost and it can spook or haunt people.
You are still able to control it's actions except that it cannot go to work
and can pass through walls. Don't need to eat too! To become alive, visit the
grim reaper (he will hang around once death occurs... the guy with a grey
costume). Either win the fiddle game or pay $100. Your Sim will become human
again!!!
To be abducted by Alien. Buy the Truth Telescope and spend some time
using it! Somehow something will grab your Sim from above and you
will get a prompt that your Sim is at a journey in the sky. Dont
worry, your Sim will be back shortly. I remember my Sim rushing to
the toilet and vomitted after she came back from her so called
adventure!
If fire breaks out, you cannot enter the BUY Catalog and the Build Catalog.
Quickly call the Firefighter to put out the fire. If you are late, the item
will be burned down. If a Sim dies, make sure to go to the Grim Reaper and
choose either to win a fiddle match with him or easy just pay him $100!
Important!
Only GOLD and Platinum wants will unlock the next location!!
Complete all Gold wants first (those in the gold/yellow box) which is the
topmost aspiration in the list. After successive completion of all Gold
wants, you will get the Platinum want which will unlock the next location.
The scale bar will turn to silver/platinum color once you are given the
platinum want.
The other wants in the green box are optional. Also avoid those in the
red box.

3.4 Career & Skill

You will need money in this game and getting a job is the only way to
get money. To get a job, simply pick up a newspaper > find a job or
buy a PC.
The newspaper will only display 3 job selections while the computer can
display about 5 job selections.
Different careers will require different skills. You will be fired if you
miss work two days in a row. If that happens, you will be demoted back
to level one of that job. To avoid being fired simply change jobs before
you receive the call that you are fired.
Skill:
Skill items can be found in the BUY CATALOG. Press on Start button and
select buy catalog. Press R1 till you see Skill Objects. Scroll to each
object and details regarding the price and the skills it will improve
will be given.
Cooking - gain points by cooking or study cooking by reading a book
Mechanical - buy the work bench or study mechanical by reading a book
Charisma - basically buy a mirror or write a Blog
Body - there is an weight-lifting bench or a punch bag
Logic - Play chess or view a telescope or program game in PC
Creative - Paint, play the piano or guitar, buy bonsai plant and prune it
Cleaning - Perform cleaning tasks or study cleaning by reading a book
Basically just refer to the items in the Skill Objects and select one that
will improve the required skill. The list above are just suggestions.

promotion to the next level.

3.5 Socialising
________________
You will need to interact and make friends here. In order to socialise,
simply select the Sim you wish to interact with and pick a social move.
Intially start using Talk social, then move on to compliment, impress
sock puppets, charm/tickle/hit on, then move to the romantic socials
like make out, kiss, hug, squeeze etc.
You can also get married, cuddle in bed and woo hoo!
You need 40 relationship points to be friends. The colour of the background
can be a good indicator. If it is red that means they are in love.
Tip:
The fastest way to be friends.
For a start use the talk option repeatedly until about 10 relationship
points. Then start using other socials like, tell a joke, compliment,
impress, sock pupptets (I realise most female Sims like this but not
all male Sims like this esp Noel and Torin). If you have high creative
skill about 6 and above use draw potrait. It will give you much added
relationship points. Once you have reached 40 points, use tickle but be
warned some don't like this like Jonas, use charm or hit on. Or you may
want to select back crack, tell tale or confide. I have problems
confiding to Jonas as he would announce to everyone what I just told him!
Good Luck
Be sure to maintain your relationship with them by either calling them,
invite them over to hang out with them or even chat on the computer. By
throwing a party is a sure way to get many Sims over. Relationship points
will decrease as time passes by. So maintain your friendship!
To get 100% completion you need to help 15 Sims. These Sims are those you
can control. So you need to complete all their gold wants.

3.6 Food Ingredients
_____________________
As I have mentioned earlier, you are ablet to select the type of ingredients
you wish for each meal.
When you go to a refrigerator, the ingredient list will appear. They are
divided into sections.
Meat. vegetables. Fruits. Dairy. Grain. Liquids. Oils.
Harvested Seafood, Harvested Fruits. Harvested Vegetables.
To harvest seafood, buy the aquarium.
To harvest fruits, buy frood tree.
To harvest vegetable, buy garden hutch.
All the 3 items are found in Miscellaneous list in Buy Catalog.
To harvest food, click on the plant and select harvest! Note: The gardener
does not harvest food. To get seafood, go to the tank and select Get FISH!
You can also decide on which method you wish to prepare your meal. That will
also depend on what kitchen appliances you have. A point to note is the more
expensive the refrigerator the more items available.
After preparing the food, you may wish to look at it first before eating. It
will tell you whether the food is tasty and well prepared or whether it will
result in a repulsive effect such that emptying of the bowels is needed, or
an aphrodesiac reaction will occur, skill boosting effect or enery boost
effect.
Ingredient lists will be added later.
Also you may want to check on the recipes you have unlocked by pressing
circle button. Refer to tips section on how to unlock recipes.
To get pink hearts: One Suggestion is Lobster, Tuna & Passionfruit
To get energy boost effect: Select ingredients with high energy content
For repulsive/nauseous meal: Use fish especially eel and squid
Pink hearts mean that when you interact with someone, you will be in love
mode. Therefore, romantic socials will be enabled for you to use.
Black hearts mean that when you interact with someone, you will be in
enemy mode. You are most likely to offend that person and reduce the
relationship points.
Rain drops mean that the food will heavily deplete your bladder. Rush to the
toilet!
Green stuff coming from the food means you have just created a repulsive
meal which can have a nauseous effect like instant vomitting.
Stars mean your Sims get +3 skill points in all skills until it wears off.
It's an easy way to get a fast promotion as in get the stars before leaving
in the carpool.

3.7 Buying and Selling Guide

To enter press the start button. left button until Buy Catalog. There are
various lists of items to be bought and arranged in a self-explanatory manner.
Skill items are under the Skill items list (duh!) and to harvest food buy
the required items under the miscellaneous items list.
To build walls, tiles and doors. Press start button, R1 until Build Catalog
which is next to buy option. Again select what is needed.
To remove or sell:
Under the Buy Catalog, press square button to enter grab mode. Select the item
to sell by X button. Then press the square button. For more details press on
the select button if you are not sure.
To remove walls, go to Build Catalog. Under wall section press square to
remove walls. Again select by pressing X button and followed by square button.
Plz note that for items that have been used, when you sell, the price
depreciates. If you sell those that have not been used within the day you
bought it, you will not lose any money. Also, public property cannot be
sold but it can be deleted from the game.
The Fire Safety Code still applies. If you exceed the limit, your house
will be fire prone. Things will simply catch fire even the newspaper!
When a fire breaks out, you are unable to enter the buy catalog.

3.8 Customising Your Sim

The first task you need to undertake before playing in Story Mode is to create
your Sim. Simply roll the dice or whatever there to get the family tree of the
Sim and then your Sim will appear. I'm not sure how many tries you get but
don't worry too much about it as you are able to tweak and change the physical
appearance as you wish to later on.

All fashion is unlocked once you build a relationship with the 39 NPC
Sims to 100 (each) AND reach Career Level 10 in each of the 10 careers

Only Sims that you can control are the ones you can help.
To get 100% completion you need to help 15 Sims. These Sims are those you
can control. So you need to complete all their gold wants.
To avoid paying bills, simply collect the bills from the mailbox and drop
it down. Press Select button and go to Buy Catalog. Press Square button
to enter Grab Mode. Select the bill and press square to remove it. You
need not pay the bill now!
To get a fast promotion, create food with Stars effect. An easy way is
before the carpool arrives, head to the refrigerator and prepare
Avocado + Asparagus + White Truffle + Portabella Mushroom
Eat... (you need not cook it) and head to the carpool. Note: But you
need to have enough friends and good mood for the promotion!

Interact with a Sim using the 'Talk' social.
* Take out trash *
Clean up the rubbish in the house and go to the entrance of the house
where there is a grey dustbin. Throw it out there.
* Buy an object for at least $500 * (unlocks new location - take taxi)
Go to you buy catalog buy pressing on Start button. Left or Right till
the buy catalog. Select AN object worth more than $500. Also, you start
off with no $$ which means you need to get a JOB!
This platinum want will unlock the next location.

4.2 Shoreline Trails

You can only control Farah but she has no gold wants.
Gold Aspirations:
* Get a job *
If you have not gotten a job, then do so right now! Get a newspaper
and select find job.
*Go to work *
The carpool usually arrives a hour before your job begins. Be sure to
go to work. For the respective working hours and income earned, please
refer to my career guide.
* Gain a skill point *
In order to get promoted, you need to gain skill points. Check out
which skills are needed for promotion in the career you have chosen.
Buy the required skill object and work on the skills.
* Become enemy with Torin *
Use socials like Insult, Slap and Give Wedgie to him. A tip, try not to
become arch enemies with him. Once you have hit -10 relationship points,
and fulfilled the aspiration, stop the harrassment and build up more
points with him. It is better to have friends than enemies. An easy way
to regain friendship is to use the Apologise social. Usually it works
with +10 points.
* Reach body skill level 3 *
Go to the weightlifting table at the back of the house. It is near the
Surfing Simulator. Work on the skill till level 3.
* Perform surf trick *
Go to the Surfing Simulator at the back of the house. Select Surf option.
* Change clothes *
Buy a dresser from the Buy Catalog and change clothes. To do a fast one,
simply add accessories or change belts.
* Become Friends with Timmy *
Simply interact with Timmy till you reach 40 relationship points.
* Beat Torin at foosball * (unlocks next location)
This is a platinum want since it will unlock the next location.
Okay, please take note that this game called foosball is not the one
on the chess set. That game is called football. What you need to do is
to buy a foosball table in your Buy Catalog under miscellaneous. Place
the game in your house and call over Torin to play. Beat him to it. It
wont be long...
Optional Aspirations:
Get a promotion. Repair item. Get a maid. Build a room. Buy a decorative
plant.
Have $10,000. Meet someone new. Give food to someone.
Here, you are able to control Farah and give her a job. It's up to you.
You may also want to get married at any time in the game. It's all up to
you.
4.3 Cliffside Retreat

Residents: Isabella, Don and Patritzio
You are able to controll all 3 of them. Only Isabella has gold wants.
Gold Aspirations:
* Use 'Talk' social on Isabella *
Interact with Isabella and use 'Talk' social
* Buy a new dishwasher *
Under the Buy Catalog, under appliances select dishwasher and place it in the
kitchen.
* Repair a stove *
Fix the broken stove in the kitchen. How fast you complete this depends
on your mechanical skill level.
* Buy a fire extinguisher *
Go to the Buy Catalog under Appliances and buy the fire extinguisher.
It costs about $1,000
* Build walls *
Go to the Build Catalog under walls, build walls.
* Reach level 4 in any career *
You should have a job by now and should start working on the promotions.
Reach level 4 in any career you have chosen.
The platinum want is to fulfil all of Isabella's gold wants.
Mainly to unlock the next location you will be required to fulfil Isabella's
gold wants. Basically Isabella wants to make the retreat into a 1st class
dining area. Something like that so you will need to improve on the kitchen.
Press R2 until you become Isabella and complete her gold wants
* Buy a new table *
* Buy 5 dining chairs *
For these two aspirations, simply go to your Buy Catalog and buy them.
* Harvest squid from aquarium *
Go to the aquaruim near the kitchen and select 'Get Fish'.
* Make Sandwich *
Ingredients needed are whole wheat flour, beef and onion.
* Become friends with Patritzio *
Interact with Patritzio and have 40 relationship points with him.
* Buy food source *
Buy something which you can harvest. Eg frood plant, aquarium or garden hutch.
* Serve group meal *
Go to the fridge. Select choose group ingredient and cook the meal.
* Give food to someone *
Cook a meal or the group meal. Any ingredients will do. Select pick up
plate. Run over to the person you wish to give the food to. Press X and
select food. Under food scroll down till 'Give food to ....' Select the
person's name and make sure your Sim gives that person the food and not
drop it down. If the food is dropped down and the other person grabs it
from the floor, then it is not counted that your Sim has given the other
person the food. Try again.
Unlocks HMS AMORE
4.4 HMS Amore

Residents: Hector, Nelson, Betty
Only Hector and Betty are controllable. Both have Gold wants.
Gold needs:
* Earn $250 *
Go to work and bring home at least $250
* Change your outfit *
You will need to buy a wardrobe. Then select it to cahnge your clothes. If
you want to complete this in a jiffy, simply change just one item like
insert a belt or remove it.
* Buy a blender *
Go to the Buy Catalog under appliances, buy a blender and place it in the
kitchen.
* Use talk social on Betty *
Get to know Betty, the one with the sunhat. Use talk social on her. Easy.
Platinum Want: Help Betty!
* To unlock next location, fulfil all of Betty's gold needs *
Press R2 until you become Betty and help her!
* Gain a body skill point *
Buy the exercise machine under skill items that can build up the body.
Get Betty to use it. Make sure she gains at least one body skill point.
* Make food with aphrodesiac effect *
We need food which will give us the pink hearts. Use ingredients that
you harvest from the vegetable hutch or use the passionfruit as one
of the ingredients. Note, you need to cook it like make capaccio. If you
view it raw then there is no effect. Also, you need not eat the food to
fulfil the aspiration.
* Give food to Nelson *
Cook a meal, Run to Nelson and select food, 'Give food to...' social.
* Gain a charisma point *
Buy a mirror. Select practise talking or practise kissing. Make sure the
bar is full once to go to level 2. Or start blogging at a computer!
* use makeout social on Nelson *
Hmm... you need to build up relationship with Captain Nelson. Once you hit
40 relationship points with him, be sure to select the romantic socials.
To be safe, I usually select 'Hit on', 'Charm' and 'Hit On' again. When the
background turns red, use the makeout social.
* Buy a painting *
Simply go to the Buy Catalog under Decorative and buy any painting.
* Be lovers with Nelson *
This shouldn't be tough since you have already madeout with him. Build up
more romantic socials with him like kiss, flying hug etc. Note, marrying
him does not solve the problem. You will need about 100 points to achieve
it.
* Help Betty to marry Nelson *
Now that you guys are lovers, choose propose option. If he agrees, then taa
daa you guys are married. Congratulations!
You have unlocked Sunset Canyon!
[Bonus Location]
To unlock Mesa Gallery, satisfy all of Hector Fromagero's gold wants
-- Press R3 until you become Hector --
1) Play Spin the Bottle
You need to buy the game under Miscellaneous in the Buy Catalog. It can have
four people playing it with a dial in the center.
2) Woohoo with a Sim
Go to a doube-bed, choose relax option. Get the other Sim to the bed and make
them relax too. Then select woo hoo option. It's the same as that when you
have to get Helga and Red S to cuddle in bed.
3) Use makeout social with 3 Sims
Hector is a 'Romeo' I must say... Build up romantic relationships with the 3
Sims and use the make out social with them. Good LUCK!
4) Get 2 Sims in hot tub
Go to the love tub. Get in and call one Sim over. After that call another Sim
When the other Sim arrives, get out. You will fulfil the aspiration.
5) Wohoo with 3 Sims
Okay, this is the same as woohoo with a Sim except you need to do this with
3 Sims. It is quite easy if you have high relationships points.
--> Will unlock Mesa Gallery and a fashion item for Hector!
4.5 Sunset Canyon
------------------------
My Goodness... what a place to go. There are no beds here. No toilets and not
even a kitchen. Lots of things to buy!
Resident: Sheila, Helga, Billy and Red S.
All 4 Sims can be controlled!
A few start as ghosts like Helga. You may wan to bring them back to life. The
grim reaper should be around. If I'm not mistaken there are 3 spirits in total
Which are Helga, Sheila and Billy.
PS: If you have resurrected Helga in the beginning then a gold want will not
be required later. Basically this gold want is to resurrect Helga.
Gold wants:
* Take out Trash *
This house is very messy so just clean up an area and go to the rubbish bin
outside and Throw out.
* Buy a metal detector and find buried treasure*
Buy the metal detector in the Buy catalog.
Find treasure. I found my first treasure near the tombstones.
Another treasure was found near the one of the buildings. Anyway, the detector
will start with blue to light blue and finally white in color. If you are near
the location of the treasure, you will be able to hear a sound. If you have
found the treasure, your controller will vibrate. Just 'DIG'.
Just be patient and you will find the treasure.
* Find Simleons *
Buy a couch and search the couch. Most of the time you will find $$.
* Wear a costume *
Somewhere in the area is a wardrobe box. Go there and change
into a costume. Changing into your working costume may not work. Try the
yeti costume for example.
* Serve meal to Red S. *
Cook something and serve it to Red S. If he is not anywhere near you,
run over to him and select 'Give food to' option.
* Reach level 7 in any career *
Just get promoted to level 7 in any career.
Platinum want: Help Red S. rekindle his ties with an old Silverscreen
Idol. Obviously... the person is Helga, his old sweetheart.
Fulfil all of Red S. gold wants
Press R2 till you become Red S. with the Afro hair.
* Call the shrink *
Go to the phone and call 'Services'. Select therapist option.
* Gain creativity point *
Buy an easel or buy a bookcase and get him to write a journal.
* Play guitar *
Buy a guitar under the Skills item in Buy Catalog. Costs about 1,500.
* Paint a picture *
Buy the artist easel and paint a picture. Any picture will do.
* Resurrect Red S. long lost love *
Red S long lost love is Helga. If you have not resurrected her in the
beginning then do so. If you already have, then this gold want will
not appear.
* Be loved by Helga *
Build up your romantic socials with Helga. Use 'Hit On' twice and then
hug or serenade or flyinh hug.
* Kiss Helga *
Easy since you are now loved by Helga. Choose the Kiss option. If you
do not see the option, try to lover down your relationship points with
her. Then try again.
* Cuddle Helga in bed * (unlocks Tranquility Falls)
Go to a double bed. Choose 'RELAX' and wait. Switch to Helga and go to
that double bed. Again choose 'RELAX'. Once she has settled down,
select 'Cuddle'. You may also wanna try woohoo since you guys are
already in bed.
[Bonus Location]
Complete Billy's Gold Wants to unlock The Orbit Room.

1) Become enemy with Helga
Use the negative socials on Helga. Socials include 'Insult' and 'Slap'
which prove to be effective. Reduce till about -17 points.
2) Become arch enemy with Helga
Now that you guys are enemies, simply add more negative socials. I keep
slapping her and then give wedgie
3) Throw party (unlocks bonus location)
Go to the telephone and select Throw Party! Do not call between 1am-6am.
Warning: If you go to the Orbit Room DO NOT INTERACT WITH ANY ALIEN!!!
4.6 Tranquility Falls

Residents: Chantel, Candi, Goopi and Larry
All residents are controllable with Larry and Chantel having gold wants.

These two aspirations are obtained by buying certain things.

You should already have a job by now. Build up your skills and
friendships to get promoted till level 8 in any career. For more info

Go to Buy Catalog. Buy the only fountain. It is HUGE!
* Add a room *
Go to the Build Catalog after pressing the Start button. Build walls.

Again, go to the Buy Catalog and buy any object you like. Then buy 4
lights!
* Master Creativity skill *
Here you will need to buy a skill object. Either buy the bookshelf and study
creativiy or buy an easel to paint or buy the guitar or piano. You can also
prune a bonsai plant.
* Buy any object worth $500 *
Another aspiration to purchase an object! Go to the Buy Catalog, and buy an
object worth more than $500.
* Get Art Career * (unlocks Alien Crash Site)
Grab a newspaper or go to a PC and 'Look for job'. Browse through till you
see the Art career. The newspaper will only show 3 job openings while the
computer will show 5 job openings. If you cannot find the Art career job
opening, try again another day till you get it.
[Bonus Location]
To unlock Jugen House, satisfy all of Larry Liu's gold wants

1) Design a computer game
Purchase a computer, Make Larry design a computer game.
2) Fill fun need
There is a great gaming item in the house. Looks very much like the
heligraphics from the past seasons of the Sims games. Fill the fun level till
the top with all green.
3) Make a nauseous meal
Use lots of fish esp squid and eel. Do not look at food when raw. It will not
be nauseous. Cook it like make capaccio.
4) Give food to Candi Cupp (unlocks bonus location)
What I did was after I made that disgusting nauseous meal, I ran over to Candi
and gave it to her. Poor girl started throwing up!
4.7 Alien Crash Site

You can contol both XY-XY and XHT-F Smith.
Fulfil XY-XY wants to unlock Bio Dome and XYT-F's wants to unlock the

There are two aliens living here. Get to know any of them.
* Reach level 9 in any career *
Hopefully you have been working on your skills and promotions. Get promoted
to level 9 of any career. Refer to my career guide for more details.

Go to Buy Catalog and pruchase a computer. There are various types of
computers with different prices. The cheapest is the Honeywell computer.
Be sure to buy a table and chair for your computer.
* Write a blog *
After you have purchased the computer, select it and choose 'Write Blog'
The more you blog, the more popular you can get.
* Build walls *
Go to your Build Catalog and choose to build walls. Each wall slab costs only
$1/-
* Help XY-XY Smith fulfil all his gold wants * (stop war with neighbour)
Press R2 until you become XY-XY Smith. Fulfil all his gold wants to make peace
with Jonas his neighbour. This is a platinum want.
* Be friends with Jonas *
Interact with Jonas. Get to know him and reach 40 relationship points.
* Change clothes to look more human *
You will need to buy a wardrobe and get him to change his clothes. I simply
added a cap to him to differentiate him from XHT-F. Sometimes they both
look similar that I find it hard to differentiate. Just add a cap to be fast.
* Buy ingredient source *
An ingredient source includes the frood tree, aquarium or garden hutch. You can
find them in the Buy Catalog under Miscellaneous.
* Give food to Jonas *
Cook a meal. Pick it up and run to Jonas. Click on the food and select 'Give
food to ...' option. Choose to give to Jonas. Make sure he accepts it to
fulfil your aspiration.
* Throw a party * (unlocks Bio Dome)
You need to get a telephone for this one. Go to the telephone and under 'Call'
option, select throw a party. Note: Do not call during the wee hours of the
morning like 1am - 6am. Try calling later!
[Bonus Location]
Completing XHT-F's Gold Wants unlocks Andromeda Arms
To unlock, satisfy all of XHT-F Smith's gold wants
-- Press R3 until you become XHT-F Smith--
1) Get a job
Go to either the newspaper of the computer. Select find a job.
2) Earn $200
Depending on what job you select as different jobs have different pay. Refer
to my Career Guide for the details of the pay given, working hours and skills
needed for promotions.
3) Buy hot tub
Buy either the lovers tub or the big blue tub which can fit 4 people in it.
Remember, bath tubs do not count!
4) Play chess
Buy a chess set. It is under the skill items in the Buy Catalog. To play
chess, you will need two chairs and placed at the correct ends of the table.
Only then can you Sim play Chess. If you select play chess and a cloud
appears above your Sim's head with a chair in it, this means that you have
not placed the chairs in the correct position.
5) Get a promotion
Build up her skills to get a promotion.
6) Earn $400
Again this depends in the type of job and the level. Bring home at least $400.
7) Buy a Burglar Alarm
Go to the Buy Catalog and under electronics, buy the burglar alarm.
8) Read a book
Buy the bookcase from Buy Catalog. Get your Sim to READ A BOOK! Do not ask
them to study anything. That is not reading a book.
9) Get a promotion
Again, work on those skills and friendship. Go to work and get a promotion.
10) Buy a rug (unlocks the bonus location)
