I - What are Specialists?

[I.1 - Specialists in the Army Today]
Specialists are ranks in the army, designating certain jobs, such as Specialist
4 (S-4) being a medic or demolitions officer. Specialists were first put into
great numbers in the Vietnam War, of the Ia Drang Valley campaign. Many died,
but proved there valor when several won the Congressional Medal of Honor.
[I.2 - How to get Specialists in Ghost Recon]
To get specialists in Ghost Recon, simply beat the "X" objective for the mission
below the third one. Missions 13, 14, and 15 of the original game and missions
6, 7, and 8 of Desert Siege expansion pack do not contain the "X" objective,
therefore no specialists are available for the mission.

[III.2 - "How do I get a Specialist?"]
To get a specialist, simply accomplish the "X" objective below the third one on
a mission. These special objectives are only available on Ghost Recon's Missions
1 through 12 and Desert Siege's 1 through 5.
[III.3 - "What's so great about a Specialist?"]
Specialists hold special weapons not available to your original men and have
better abilities than them also. Not only that, but they also hold their own
stories in the "Special Features" section, as well as medical charts. When
playing through a game, I usually get all of them because they are so useful.
[III.4 - "How many Specialists are there? Are there any Desert Siege?"]
There are 13 specialists in the game, 12 in the original game, one in the
expansion pack. The four of the twelve specialists in the original game are also
available in the expansion pack.
