Strategies ****************************************************************************************** ***** When playing as Kurt it's quite easy to win, because of his great stats and solid move set which is listed above. Below are some tips on how best to wrestle when you are playing as Kurt. 1. Obviously, when wrestling as anyone you want to work over the areas which the finisher hurts, so by the time you have a finisher icon and full momentum, it will do much more damage, and in Kurt's case, give you a greater chance of making your opponents tap out. In a match, start with some punches and kicks to get your opponent off balance, then hit them with a powerful grapple which wears down the mid-section/back. After you've got the torso into the yellow section, damage wise, start applying some body scissors and other submissions which work that area until it goes orange. Now begin on the legs, a running chop block is a good way to floor your opponent, so repeat that a few times, now begin to apply some single leg boston crabs and such until the legs get into orange as well. Now do some german suplexes and more power grapples to wear down the head and upper body. Running shoulder blocks are also a good way to get your opponent on the mat, and into the finishing position for say, and ankle lock. Hit the ankle lock, preferably at full momentum, and away from the ropes. Button mash as quickly as you can to try and get your opponent to submit. However, if the torso is more injured than the legs, build up a finisher icon, then slide out of the ring. Trip your opponent from the outside, then hang them up on the top rope, as they spin around and stumble, slide back into the ring and when they have their back facing you, quickly hit them with the angle slam. If they landed near the ropes, drag them away from the ropes and make the cover. If you have followed this method precisely, it will definitely work on anyone, unless you are a horrible button masher. Hitting finishers at full momentum is a huge thing, so once you have hit 1-2 initial finishers, try for one at full momentum to finish off your opponent. Tactics can be slightly adapted for different matches, such as in a parking lot brawl, you can use the cars to jam people's feet in them etc. 2. In tag matches, similar strategies are needed, for anyone you play as. However, I just thought I'd list some good strategies if people are struggling with tag matches, this applies especially if you've got a bad tag partner. Firstly, since you are using someone with stats of 95, you're going to be dominating most situations. Tag partners can be a bitch at time and cost you the match, so to start off with give your opponent a fair beating, and don't let them tag in their partner. Use the left analogue stick to order your partner to help if you get in a tad of trouble, or use them to attack the illegal man while you work over the one in the ring. Once they've been beat pretty good, tag in your partner. Now regain all of your stamina and head over to the illegal man who will be waiting patiently on the apron. Punch him until he falls off the apron, then do some power grapples to wear them down, hit your finisher if you need to. Your partner should be making easy pickings of the guy in the ring because you worked him over first, but if he's not, run in and help him, then go back out and continue to work over the illegal man. Hopefully by now, you and your partner and both in pretty good shape, and your opponents are worse for wear. Get your partner to tag you in, and finish off the guy in the ring. If his partner keeps running in, tag in your partner, then distract the illegal man outside the ring so he can't run in, hopefully your partner will be able to end it here, and you'll have the match in the bag. 3. Triple threat matches also seem to be a common occurrence in season, so it's good to have some know-how when you find yourself in one. Below are some tips for triple threat matches. The best tactic is to stay fresh, and the way to do this is to obviously stay away from the action. Right from the beginning you'll need to roll out of the ring and let the other two guys beat the day lights out of each other. Taunt to build up your momentum, and when it's full store a finisher. Once both guys are a bit battered, run into the ring, hit a few grapples and roll back out. Hit your finisher whenever you can, but if one guy is making a pin cover, run in ASAP and break it up. If someone is close to tapping, make sure you break it up too. Once both men are nearly gone, run in and power whip the weakest link over the top rope, and then hit your finisher on the poor guy still left in the ring, make the cover for the easy win. 4. We all love easy wins at times, especially if we are just testing something out, such as a new finisher, but then don't want to quit the match, because we need to know deep down that we can thrash anyone if we want to, or if we've done the majority of a challenge, but need a win to finish it. In previous instalments of the Smackdown! series, gamers would be able to use the table DQ trick, but this new method is far easier and more reliable. NOTE: Count Out must be ON for this method to work. Once the match has gone as far as you would like it to, it's time to put the nail in the coffin. The first part is getting your opponent out of the ring, on the lower AI levels this can be burdensome because the AI will stand in the ring like a dork if you leave the ring and not follow you, so an easy way is to use a power irish whip to send them over the ropes and to the mats outside. Once you have done this, engage in a regular grapple move such as a submission, and the ref will count. Hopefully by the time this is completed he will be up to about 4, maybe 5. Now lock in any submission, but don't use Triple H's death lock because that will take too long. Let the submission animation take place. If the count is only up to 6-7, engage in another submission. Once the ref gets to 9, punch your opponent and knock them over, the sprint back into the ring. If done properly, your opponent won't have had the time to run back in, thus getting him counted out. More strategies will be available soon, and if are struggling with something, such as a buried alive or fulfil your fantasy match, contact me and I'll write up some tips on how best to tackle that match. ****************************************************************************************** ***** 8.
