Dude I am having the exact same problem. I did pretty good in all the previous scenarios.
But I CAN NOT get p***ed red square. I'm starting to wonder if it can be done! I have
gotten so far as to destroy all enemy planes and ground forces and ordered the rockets to
launch on the remaining targets. But some unknown force keeps destroying red square.

i patched to 1.01 (maybe this balanced this level a little)

then as soon the paratroopers arrive concentrate on them and on the ground targets.
do not forget to command your wingman.

against the heavy flak in the next chapter, it is easiest to use the artillery, and better
keep away of the trouble.

Last part is destroying the supercanon. when its door open shoot rockets in it. you could
just fly loopings in front of the hangar waiting till the doors open, and attack then.

With a little timing this should not be a real showstopper.

holy crap im playing red square right now and idk wat the heck is going on but i can't
beat it i almost destroy everything and then red square is suddenly destroyed idk wat to
do usually no troops or planes areleft nearby but it still gets destroyed and if you still
need to protect it when you bomb all the areas and then the super wepon comes then there
is no way i could do it any ideas idk if there is a difficulty setting or not but im
playing on the x360

can't do this level i've tried doing it about 20 times and it just won't come. I've tried
hitting oly planes, iv'e tried only hitting ground and i've triedhitting anything dat

This level is sooooo hard i can't do it any suggestions Plz! all i no is that u take out
ground troops then the planes?

After killing the bombers and almost all the ground troops ( except the ones for the
russian rocket shot ) should i be killing the 2ndary planes ( the ammo ones too? ) been on
this lvl for 4 days and can't get past. Heck i have been even flying circles around the
square and still lose the lvl.. had over 4500 points last try. i was upset.. sigh.. any
help would be grateful. ty.

In the same boat as the rest of you. Others say take out bombers while others say take out
ground targets. Face it those who have done it did it by fluke. Whats the 1.01 patch? Is
it for the 360?

yea this is happening to me, am killing everything but the bar keeps going down for no
reason at all
I even ordered those rockets at the end, is that a glitch for xbox360?

I know how to beat but just beforwe the mission ends i kill myself because i still find it
challenging and I keep looking for better ways and this is the best way I have found. I
will skip the first objective as you just fly with the other planes in formation.

When you get your new objective your first targets should be to your left if you kept
going straight. Once you Destroy your first plane just go after planes and dont fly
anywhere to far from red square unless you are chacing a plane. If you do it right you can
take down atleast half as I have done so on hardest level. After a little bit paratroopers
will come. kill all the paratroopers as it limits the ground targets for later. now
quickly get to red square and kill planes non stop untill they are gone (or unless you
have to get ground targets if ordered to). once planes are gone ground forces should only
be left. shoot a russian and they won't die. shooting between german tanks/armoured cars
will blow up 2 if using a rocket from your plane.

I have used an answer from above for the next part as it is the way i do it.

I have the Xbox 360 version, but all you do is as soon as you take out a primary target,
mash The "Next Primary Target" Button and haul *** to the next target and destroy it. It
took me like 5 tries to get it.

Oh and no matter what kind of target it is, just kill it.

Although it doesn't seem like its working, it will.

i beat the carrier plane at the endof the game and the game wont finish. anyone know
anything about that?? its driving me crazy.

I buy games so i can move thru the levels and do new things. i hate how i got thru all
other levels with only several tries. I have been on this level for about 6 hours and it
is no fun anymore, its work. Sorry i dont dedicate my life to this game, i just want to
play. im so mad right now and thats not fun.

what i meant was how the other missions only took several tries which is fine, and this
one is seemingly impossible. ive only gotten to guide the missles 3 or 4 times out of like
50. And i dont think im bad, im killing planes all over the place and so is my wingman.
Remember the good old days when you could just play a game without having to absolutely
master it?

I destryoed everything and had 1/4 health left and it blows up out of the blue no rail car
even shows up. there's no life or railcar. glitched on me and then I never made it to the
spot where I use the katayusha rockets................WTF

i broke a controller, a window, and light. a baseball game explains the gl***. not a 360
mlb 2k9 just a game down at the park. SO ****ING IRRITATING.............................

help me I can not beat this level I destroy all the planes all the tanks and armored ms
yet the red square still dying katushio I shoot the rockets but before they detonate the
tanks it away the red square already died and I lose some mission tip? to the red square
does not lose life?

Hoe-K. Have the PC version. I'm am vastly familiar w everything involved w this mission
from outside the game.... I know stats for all 3rd Reich planes Junker or otherwise...
know how Junk Ju 87s were relegated to Russia and the Med theaters after the RAF wiped the
channel w them and destroyed their image as the 'Wunderwaffe' of the skies.... I know the
street plan and history of the Kremlin by heart, which is the actual name for the place
being attacked here (Red Square is a big *** football field shape area tucked up against
the Eastern wall of the Kremlin). I have researched the nazi Schwerer Gustav 800mm
gigantosaurus railway gun to death. I'm assuming thats the superweapon of this level, as I
haven't gotten to it yet... It is the biggest conventional artiller piece ever made, only
thing bigger is the weaponized 900mm aerial bomb test launcher "little david" prototyped
by the U.S.- Schwerer Gustav required 4 independent full guage rail tracks and an entire
regiment of AA, I guess thats the Katuysha targets haven't gotten that far either... I
beat %80 of prior missions on the 1st try including the sub and the second one the
train... Italian Night out was a fun blast those Flak 88s were tuna in a bucket for me.
And at this point I think poor old moscow has been completely blown to *** over 100 times
at least under my watch. The rivers should be full to the brim with Luftwaffe-O's and the
trees decorated w burning parachutes... but, as everyone else says here, after all Stukas
have been sent to Valhalla and the 88 transports have been shredded, all major tank
columns blown sky high...... The Kremlin just seems to commit suicide. Its health bar
drains like a Heinz 57 bottle missing its bottom. I even always start from the beginning
to get a head start on everything... last night I had dreams of flying formations around
moscow endlessly for hours argueing in english about Einstein-thingy Einstatz Truppe death
squads, bortsch recipies and the quality of soviet aircraft. I don't think it is a glitch
certainly seems spooky but obviously programmed in. I don't think the Friendly AA guns are
responsible, what kind of programmers allow friendly aa guns to blow up the target their
protecting? Its gotta be like you gotta kill EVERYTHING that moves... I'm damn good and
I've only heard the katuysha speech by Marguerite twice. And that was before I figured out
that the red reticule WASN'T for my rockets but rather the heavy MGs.

I am asking two questions of anyone here for advice:

Do the long barrel and impact fuze upgrades really help for this? I don't have them and
wondered...

And who, who has beat this mission more than once, has the best ideas for orders for your
Cowboy/Leftenant Thatcher 2nd unit? Do they really do enough to let them loose, or should
I do the work myself by chucking volleys of rockets and just send cowboy to wipe out Ammo
planes for refills.... I don't understand if you have to still be targeting it when cowboy
kills it to get the refill or not...

I really don't know if I can kill every single JJ88 transport plane every single JJ87
Stuka AND every single Sdkfz 222 tin boxes and all the panzers that hit the floor before
they turn the Kremlin into a parking lot... add then the 800mm Gustav? I guess I'll just
have to, after all who else but some punk kid from Indiana in an unarmored ground attack
craft can save Mother Russia? They better give me crates of beluga and flats of Stoly for
life...

How is it our fault they're using 4 flak guns and 15 slapshod built ground attack aircraft
to defend a symbolic mideival fortress against several thousand state-of-the-art ground
and air units of the 3rd Reich? JESUS CHRIST this mission is IM-F***ING-POSSIBLE.
Attacked the air units first.
Attacked the ground units first.
Uselessly expended over 20 rockets apeice at the transport planes to no avail.
Used Cowboy on the parachutes.
Used Cowboy on the Stukas.
Used Cowboy on the ground units.
Restarted from the checkpoint.
Restarted from the beginning.
Played inspirational death metal.
Played no music.
Cracked my knuckles and tried to be crisp and exact.
Pounded soda and went berserker status on them 'botches.
Tried taking out the ammo refill planes with MGs, Rockets, and Cowboy to boot.
Tried eliminating one type of attacker first, air or ground.
Tried taking out whatever was nearest and right in front of me.
Tried long swooping runs over the Kremlin.
Tried smack slapping my mouse to rend the frame of this d*** POS Illyushin-2 Ground Attack
Coffin to get it to try and bank faster than an ocean liner.

Results? Fail. Fail. And, wait for it!.... FAIL.

Does anybody out there have any gd clue of any possible way to actually BEAT this
mission?!??!? I notice how the people who have claimed to beat it give really vague
obvious answers in unclear language that really consist of the common sense tactics we've
all used anyway.
I DON'T GET IT. I really don't, and it's pissing me off. Why reputable game companies
would make a game thats too easy to begin with, and then, just for shytes and giggles,
throw in a mission the devil himself couldn't beat I have NO idea. If it wasn't a
lightweight liquid crystal display I was using I would have put my head, fist, mouse or
keyboard through it several times. I'm not one to give up on any mission of any game but
this has been the roadblock from hell. I actually got wasted and shot an airsoft gun into
the Stuka page of my WWII aircraft encyclopedia last night. I've had it and I'm ready to
drag a programmer into the street and beat him to death with my computer tower.
Somebody please give me something to whoop this mission with!

word. You said it man. I wanted to vent about this horrible, evil game, but you beat me to
the punch. I figured i wasnt the only one to get so mad.

F**K Ubistoft! I thought that they were a reputable copmany, but after playing BA2 in Red
Square, I have lost complete respect for them. So much so that i will NEVER buy another
Ubisoft game again. No matter how fun the game looks or is supposed to be, my mind is made
up. Supporting them and buying another game from them should be a crime after play this
worthless peice of garbage calld Blazing Angels 2.I dont know what kind of worthless
programmers they are hiring there, but even an unexperienced gamer knows that almost any
game out there has a choice of difficulty levels, which is an obvious, good feature to
have in a game. Especially one that isnt your average FPS and takes a little getting used
to. Anyway, i hope that some from Ubisoft(Hopefully the programmers) sees this message and
many like it so that they may put a little more thought into games in the future and they
wont turn out to be a complete POS like BA2. Again, until they make an extremely badass
game and stop making horrible games, UBISOFT CAN *** MY D**K & B***S!!!

I thought it was impossible but on about try 15 I got passed it. Keep your wingmen
attacking thoughout. First concentrate on the planes. Then when the parachutes start
dropping take out some of them but don't waste too much time. The ground troops are
actually easier to hit when on the ground. When the dive bombers starting hitting Red
Square concentrate on them and finish them off as quick as possible. Take out any left
over planes and any tanks coming close to the square. I got to a point where there were no
more planes, and I attacked the last of the vehicles and was surprised when it said I
succeeded. I'm not a hardcore gamer so I know if I can do it so can others.
