Of course you did. People both unfamiliar with DEVIL MAY CRY and those who have been fans of the game series since the release of the first game have been looking forward to this. Now it's finally here, little less than two weeks before its release. Us fans have been dying to play this game and the demo gets just about enough saliva running to make us crave the game even more. So what's in this demo? Two 'missions': Exterminator and Executioner. Exterminator has a 10-minutes time limit, while Executioner offers a playthrough against the icy Frosts and the fiery Berial, one of the bosses of DEVIL MAY CRY 4. Both modes are quite enjoyable in their own ways, though I personally favor Exterminator. DEVIL MAY CRY has come a long way, and now that it's reached the next-gen consoles, I have to say that I'm impressed. I think CAPCOM showed us with this game that DEVIL MAY CRY can continue for a long time and introduce new, fresh ways to enjoy them. Let's just hope they take their time with each game. So, without further ado, let's get on with this strategy guide. Before we get to the juicy parts, let's take a look at the basics of the game, and familiarize ourselves with the new hero of the games: Nero. 002: BASICS __ __ ( ) ( ) )( )( ||_________________________________________________________________________|| _|| | _ | B A S I C S | ||_________________________________________________________________________ | || || )( )( ( ) ( ) \/ \/ 002A: CONTROLS ~~~===========================================================================| C O N T R O L S | ~~~===========================================================================| TRIANGLE Use your sword. Offer it to the gods to earn new power." - Red Orbs have no practical use in the demo. GREEN ORB: "A magic green stone of crystallized demon fluid. It returns lost life power." - These neat things instantly recovers a little bit of your health, and are worth 10 red orbs. RED QUEEN: Nero's customized sword. Though deadly by itself, the sword can be revved for additional damage (and spectacular visuals). BLUE ROSE: Nero's special gun that fires two bullets simultaneously through two pipes. Although not as fast as Dante's Ebony & Ivory, the double bullets offer enough stopping power to compete with them. DEVIL BRINGER: The name given to Nero's mysterious right arm. Little is known about it, other than that it seems to be demonic, and that it allows Nero to battle enemies in a unique way. FORTUNA: The great castle city Nero lives in. Since there is nearly no story in the demo, Fortuna will merely serve as the setting of the demo. EVIL LEGACY: A mysterious item that grants Nero the "Hell Bound" ability. HELL BOUND: A nify platform mechanism. Hell Bound is the name for various moves that can be performed with the Devil Bringer to access otherwise unreachable areas, and to gain an upper hand against enemies during combat. STYLE GAUGE: The word(s) that appear to the right when you start attacking enemies. The ranking order is D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS, where D is the lowest and SSS is the highest. Depending on your Style rank, rank, enemies will drop different amounts of red orbs when killed. The Style ranks are: Deadly, Carnage, Brutal, Atomic, Smokin', Smokin' Style and Smokin' Sick Style. EXCEED GAUGE: The gauge just to the left of your health bar. It has a meter that shows how much you need to rev your sword to light one lamp. Whenever you strike with your sword with at least one lamp lit, Nero's attack will become faster, stronger and with increased visual effects. In the demo, you can have no more than three lamps lit. 002C: PLAYING AS NERO ~~~===========================================================================| P L A Y I N G A S N E R O | ~~~===========================================================================| In DEVIL MAY CRY 4, there is one fundamental difference you need to think about. Specifically, you need to understand that you're *not* playing as Dante. In my experience, these two work a bit differently, and this is true especially during combat because Nero requires different tactics from Dante. I'll get more detailed on this later, but here are a few things to keep in mind. - You can't perform an effective taunt as often as Dante. - Firing the gun at enemies is not used to increase the Style Gauge. - Nero attacks slower. Don't be a crazy button masher. Plan your next move. Preferably before you even start the attack (combo). Once you get used to controlling Nero, you won't think about it, but keep it in mind anyway. - Use the Devil Bringer to pull enemies to you or away from each other. By controlling their positions, you can plan effective attacks that give you higher ranking in the Style Gauge. - Buster does a lot of damage. Depending on the situation, you may want to use it scarcely in order to get a higher Style Gauge ranking. - Learning how to use Instant Revving is quite helpful as they add more depth and style to gameplay and the combo system. See [004C Exceed] for more info. In addition, they deal around 1.5 more damage than its non-exceeded counter- part. Mastering Instant Revving is incredibly helpful, and a step towards mastering Nero. - If you should get lost, consult your mini-map. You can find it at the bottom right of your television screen. 002D: MOVES ~~~===========================================================================| M O V E S | ~~~===========================================================================| Abbreviations I will use in this section: T = Triangle C = Circle X = Cross S = Square DODGE ROLL: R1 + X + Direction (only left or right). - Nero will roll to the side. A fairly effective dodging maneuver that, when used properly, can mean the difference between life and death. STANDARD COMBO: T, T, T, T. - Nero will perform a standard 4-hit combo. EXTENDED COMBO: T, T, pause... T, T, T, T. - A 6-hit combo, although two of those hits may count as one. AERIAL RAVE: T, T, T (while airborn). - Pretty much like Dante's Aerial Rave, but with one slash less. The last slash will send your enemy straight down. SPLIT: R1 + T + Forward (while airborn). - Nero slashes straight down. A fast attack with decent damage. I like it. HIGH ROLLER: R1 + T + Backward. - An upward slash that sendds enemies straight up. Hold T to follow along the enemy mid-air. STREAK: R1 + T + Forward. - Nero performs a sweeping slash with decent range and reach. I like to think of it as a sweet mix between Stinger and Rapid Slash. One of my favorite moves and EX-Streak looks even better. BUSTER: C (can be used while airborn). - Grab your enemy with the Devil Bringer and let the punishment begin. Buster does different things depending on what enemy you use it on. It's a very powerful technique. A Scarecrow can be killed with two Busters. GRIM GRIP: R1 + C (while standing on a blue crest and facing a Grim Grip). - This ability allows Nero to extend his arm a very long way. This ability allows Nero to cover distances he would otherwise be unable to. SNATCH: R1 + C (can be used while airborn). - Extend your arm and pull an enemy towards you, or pull yourself towards the enemy. One of my favorite moves, definitely. You can remain airborn for a very long time with this ability coupled with Buster. You can also use it to move Scarecrows out of the way and rearrange their locations to suit your needs. 003: WALKTHROUGH __ __ ( ) ( ) )( )( ||_________________________________________________________________________|| _|| | _ | W A L K T H R O U G H | ||_________________________________________________________________________ | || || )( )( ( ) ( ) \/ \/ 003A: EXTERMINATOR ~~~=========================================================================== M I S S I O N : E X T E R M I N A T O R ~~~=========================================================================== NOTE: This mode comes with a 10-minutes time limit. Also, I'll be ignoring all those tutorial screens that pop up because they're incredibly annoying. NOTE: The fights at the Opera House Plaza, Residential District and Port Caerula can all be ignored. ============================================================ O P E R A H O U S E P L A Z A ------------------------------------------------------------ +++ OBJECTIVE: ENTER THE STOREHOUSE +++ Run up and turn right. Keep going until you see a cutscene. Go down the stairs and towards the fountain. You will now face the Scarecrows, DMC4's slash fodder and relatives to the first game's puppets. ++ BATTLE: 3 SCARECROWS The first two Scarecrows will appear near the fountain. Once you've killed one Scarecrow, it will drop some Red Orbs for you to collect. The third Scarecrow spawns once you've killed the first. After you've killed all three, run past the fountain and head north on the map. Press Circle or X when in front of the door to enter it. ++ BONUS: HIDDEN ORBS In Devil May Cry, you can get red orbs not only from defeating enemies, but also by destroying various objects or find them hidden in various locations. Devil May Cry 4 is no different, and there are plenty of them to find in the demo. There are six benches you can smash and four trash bins you can smash for red orbs (and green orbs as well). The six benches account for 600 red orbs, and the trash bins for 255. So this place alone holds 865 red orbs, not including the ones you get from killing the Scarecrows. ============================================================ S T O R E H O U S E ------------------------------------------------------------ +++ OBJECTIVE: ACCESS THE BUSINESS DISTRICT +++ Run up the stair and make a jump or just jump directly up the walls. Once past the broken staircase, run ahead (to your right) up the stairs. Just keep following the path (you really can't get lost) until you reach the archway. Run ahead, bust a few crates if you like. Once in the room on the other side, you'll see another cutscene. ++ BATTLE: 3 SCARECROWS This is a little different from the other battle because this area is much smaller than the plaza, and you're faced with three Scarecrows at once, and one of them is just about to attack when the cutscene is over. If you focus, you'll be able to defeat these without too much hassle because you can slash at more than one demon at the same time due to the small area. ++ BONUS: HIDDEN ORBS Before you head up the broken stairs, there are two barrels you can smash for 50 red orbs each. One of the barrels has a few steps to its left that lead to a dead end. Jump up, and wall jump again to access a small indent in the wall, where a big red orb can be found. It's worth 1000 red orbs. The barrel upstairs holds 40 red orbs, and the three crates hold 145 red orbs. Inside the place where you fight the Scarecrows, there are two barrels, two creates and five shelves to smash. The barrels hold 40 red orbs, the shelves hold 750 red orbs and the crates hold 140 red orbs. That's 2215 red orbs in the storehouse. ============================================================ T E R R A C E / B U S I N E S S D I S T R I C T ------------------------------------------------------------ +++ OBJECTIVE: ENTER THE CATHEDRAL +++ A quick cutscene showing the chaos down below. Unfortunately you can't jump down and fiest upon the hordes of Scarecrows. Instead, follow the path and enter the door. This is the shortest pause in the game. ============================================================ C A T H E D R A L ------------------------------------------------------------ +++ OBJECTIVE: OBTAIN THE EVIL LEGACY +++ Go down the stairs and go past the two human statues. Once you reach the large pillar, examine it to trigger a cutscene a to obtain the Evil Legacy item, which gives you the Hell Bound ability used with the Devil Bringer. Sweet! Now, head to the blue platform-like crest and press R1 + Circle to send Nero flying a long distance. Run to Nero's left, stand on the crest and use the Grip Grip again. Keep going ahead and exit through the red door. ++ BONUS: HIDDEN ORBS Instead of running down the stairs near the entrance, run straight ahead instead. Jump on the wall, perform a wall jump straight up to get 100 red orbs. In the area where you pick up the Evil Legacy, you can see five chairs on each side, right? Of course, you can smash them. Each five chairs hold a total of 100 red orbs. In the long path that leads to the door to the next area, there are four green benches you can smash for 90 orbs each. You see that red orb to the left of the red door? Do you also notice the gap between you and it? No problems. Just use the Grim Grip to grab it. 100 red orbs earned with ease. That's 760 red orbs in this area. ============================================================ T E R R A C E / B U S I N E S S D I S T R I C T ------------------------------------------------------------ +++ OBJECTIVE: REACH THE RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT +++ Follow the path and use the Devil Bringer to progress through the area. Once you've reached the small balcony, you'll trigger another cutscene. ++ BATTLE: 2 SCARECROWS This would be one of the easier battles, but bweare that you're confined in a very small area, and it's easy to get hit by one Scarecrow while you're busy punishing the other. This battle should be over very quickly. It is, in my opinion, the most unnecessary, boring and unrewarding fight in the demo. After the battle, the seal should break and now you can use the Grim Grip to reach a larger area. ++ BATTLE: 5 SCARECROWS You'll start by fighting only three Scarecrows, but as you progress with finishing them off, an additional two will eventually appear. This is one of the better fights in the demo as it lasts longer, and the plain structure of the battle ground helps for easy, stylish combat. After you've defeated the Scarecrows, head for the double doors inside the small passageway. ============================================================ R E S I D E N T I A L A R E A ------------------------------------------------------------ +++ OBJECTIVE: MAKE YOUR WAY TO PORT CAERULA +++ Simply drop down or use Streak to jump. ++ BATTLE: 3 SCARECROWS These Scarecrows are spread out. The first one is at the foot of the stairs and the second one is somewhere along the narrow path. The third one is lurking somewhere out in the open past the alleyway. The only actual problem with this area is that it's fairly dark and it's hard to judge the distance at times. Nevertheless, this should be an easy battle. Once you've killed the demons, head down the path and enter through the blue large double doors. ++ BONUS: HIDDEN ORBS If you smash the barrels, urns and food crates in the narrow path, you can get 240 red orbs. And there is a container to Nero's immediate right when you get out of the narrow path that holds 100 red orbs. The Red Orb Crystal (as I like to call it) is a place that gives you an undefined amount of red orbs as this entirely depends on how you attack. For the sake of numbers, in this example, I just stood in front of it and did the 4-hit combo three times. I got 1188 red orbs from it, so let's assume we get at least 1000 red orbs from it, unless you're doing it quite wrong. If you turn left right after passing the metal bar to Nero's left (this bar is the right pillar of the fence that was to the Red Orb Crystal's right before you destroyed it), you can get to a special place. Yes, there are two red orbs lying here. They're worth 2 red orbs. Nothing, eh? well, you see that heap of red orbs lying in front of you? Pick them up, and the ones to your left, and you're accumulated an additional 2500 red orbs! This area holds no less than 3842 red orbs! Niiice! ============================================================ P O R T C A E R U L A ------------------------------------------------------------ +++ OBJECTIVE: ENTER THE CUSTOMS HOUSE +++ Notice how most of these doors lead to areas that don't quite seem to connect to each other? You can't progress this area because the bridge hasn't been lowered. You need to take care of this. Run out of the cave-like passage and follow the narrow path. Don' turn right through the ramps; instead, keep going forward, turn left, pick up the orb worth 20 red orbs and use the Devil Bringer to cover some distance. Run up and enter the doors. ++ BONUS: HIDDEN ORBS Just before running down the docks, right after you exit the small cave-like passage, turn to your left. You can find a red orb if you jump up. It's worth 100 red orbs. ============================================================ C U S T O M S H O U S E ------------------------------------------------------------ +++ OBJECTIVE: ACCESS THE OPERATING MECHANISM +++ Just run straight ahead to trigger a cutscene. ++ BATTLE: 3 SCARECROWS This battle is similar to the battle in the Storehouse, except this area is a bit larger. Use the same method as in the storehouse, and you should do just fine. Now, find the glowing blue mechanism. Recognize it? If you don't, here's a tip: Slash it with your swords until all floating ...things have rotated and entered the mechanism. Jump up, collect the two orbs worth 10 red orbs each and enter the door. ============================================================ P O R T C A E R U L A ------------------------------------------------------------ +++ OBJECTIVE: OPERATE THE MECHANISM +++ The smallest gameplay part of the demo. Just run up to the mechanism and examine it. A funny cutscene will follow, with the bridge finally being lowered. It's time to head back to Port Caerula through the customs house. ============================================================ C U S T O M S H O U S E ------------------------------------------------------------ +++ OBJECTIVE: RETURN TO PORT CAERULA +++ Nothing to do here. Just head back to Port Caerula through the blue double doors you entered before when you had to kill the Scarecrows. ============================================================ P O R T C A E R U L A ------------------------------------------------------------ +++ OBJECTIVE: CROSS THE BRIDGE AND EXIT THE PORT +++ Right when you have left the customs house, you'll be facing more demons. ++ BATTLE: 3 SCARECROWS This battle is similar to the first battle in the demo. There are two Scarecrows in front of you and a third a few yards behind. Quickly dispose of them and use the blue crest to Grim Grip your way back to the narrow path. This time, head down the big ramps. You can see four Scarecrows lying on the gound. These are the last Scarecrows in the demo, and it is also the largest bunch you'll come across. ++ BATTLE: 8 SCARECROWS I'm not 100% certain there are 8, but I am fairly certain they're eight of them. Of course, the last four spawn as you keep killing other Scarecrows. This fight is the most difficult Scarecrow fight because the area is not as large as you'd like to think, and they can bunch up on you to deal some quite unwanted damage. Once youäve cleared the area, follow the map north, passing the bridge until you reach the two large doors. The area beyond is the same place you start at if you choose to play Mission: Executioner. ++ BONUS: REMATCH AGAINST THE SCARECROWS You can actuall exit Port Caerula and return to fight the Scarecrows in this area. I tend to do this because it's the only place I can get SSS against Scarecrows, and the quantity of Scarecrows appeals to me. ++ BONUS: CONTINUE ONWARDS! You can continue through Mission: Executioner after Port Caerula. I suggest you try it; it can be a bit fun with the time pressure! - C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S ! ! You have now completed the intended part of Mission: Exterminator, but more challenges await! Can you gather more than 10,000 orbs? One thing that is kind of fun to do is to try to get to the boss and kill him within the time limit. Better yet, do it without taking any damage at all. Just to clarify, getting 10,000 red orbs isn't as hard as you'd like to think. If you picked up all red orbs you can pick up, you've accumulated no less than 8742 red orbs! That leaves you with 1258 red orbs to get from Scarecrows. And since you can reach one of the hidden red orbs location from Port Caerula (this area is in the snowy area, and will be included in the proper section), you're really not facing a challenge here. But since 10,000 is such a great number, I thought I'd include it in. 003B: EXECUTIONER ~~~=========================================================================== M I S S I O N : E X E C U T I O N E R ~~~=========================================================================== NOTE: This second mode has NO TIME LIMIT. You have an infinite amount of time to play, but the drawback is that there is very little to do. Remember, in Mission: Exterminator that you could continue where Mission: Executioner begins? Well, in the latter, you can't go to Port Caerula or any other part except forwards. ============================================================ F O R T U N A C A S T L E G A T E ------------------------------------------------------------ +++ OBJECTIVE: ENTER THE IRON HILLS +++ Nice blizzard, huh? Just run ahead and follow the map, or the road. Doesn't matter because you really can't get lost. Once you've reached the dead end, a cutscene will be shown, and lead you to battle a new type of enemy: Frosts. ++ BATTLE: 3 FROSTS You start by facing two Frosts. You'll need to put in some heavy work here as Frosts are more agile and stronger than Scarecrows. They can slash you, they can uppercut you, they can shoot their icy claws at you and create a barrage of ice for some rough damage. They can also teleport mid-air and create a massive, thick barrier around them which heals them, and you'll need to break the barrier quickly to stop them from healing. Dodging by rolling and jumping is good to know. Try to anticipate their attacks. They pull back a little before an attack, and they jump straight up just before they crash down with the barrage of ice I mentioned earlier. Aside from slashing them, if you use Buster on them, you can whirl them around in a crazy manner before flinging them off in the distance. Once one Frost is dead, another will appear. Once you've defeated every one, consult your mini-map for directions (you'll want to head north towards the grand castle). Grab the green orb and enter the gate. ++ BONUS: HIDDEN ORBS Instead of running up the snowy path, turn left and jump up the small cliffs (or whatever it is) and collect the big red orb. It's worth 1000 red orbs. And you can get this baby in Mission: Exterminator as well, so this means that you can get roughly 9500 red orbs in Mission: Exterminator without killing any enemies. That 10,000 red orbs challenge? Not a problem! Before you trigger the cutscenes with the Frosts, there are two pillars here you can smash for a green orb each. A green orb is worth 10 red orbs. In the battle against the frosts, there are several pillars to smash, but only four of them hold green orbs. These hold two green orbs each, so they make a total of 80 red orbs. There are four very large pillars on which you can jump up and stand. Two of these will grant you 400 red orbs, for a total of 800 red orbs. That's about 1900 red orbs in this area. ============================================================ F E R R U M H I L L S ------------------------------------------------------------ +++ OBJECTIVE: FACE BERIAL +++ Something tells me those gates do NOT lead to Ferrum Hills, but I could be wrong. Anyway, run up the stairs, and witness an awesome cutscene. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Berial. 003C: BERIAL ========================================= B O S S F I G H T : B E R I A L ----------------------------------------- Coming soon... 003D: SPEED GUIDE =========================== S P E E D G U I D E --------------------------- Right, so you want to rush through Mission: Exterminator and spank Berial good before your time runs out? Instant Revving, Buster and avoiding damage are fundamental to get through quickly. The latter saves time to recover from damage while the other two simply deal a lot of damage. - OPERA HOUSE PLAZA Run straight ahead. Skip the scenes. Take down the Scarecrows really quickly (preferable counter-clockwise). Enter the door to the right. OPTION: You can choose to skip this fight altogether. - STOREHOUSE You can pick up that big fat red orb if you like, but it's quite unnecessary. You can perform a wall jump near where you enter to get up the stairs quickly. Run up, turn right and left again to sprint towards the fight. Defeat the Scarecrows and exit through the door. - TERRACE / BUSINESS DISTRICT Just run quickly into that door after skipping the cutscene. - CATHEDRAL Run right (Nero's immediate left), head down the first stairs and jump. Keep running, jump over the crest and get the Evil Legacy. Run back, and use the Grim Grip to get up, then run left. Use another Grip Grip to get even further up, run towards the door and exit. - TERRACE / BUSINESS DISTRICT Run left, then use the Grim Grip. Run right, past the sign and right again. Use the Grim Grip to get to the two Scarecrow. Finish them quickly. You'll fight a few more Scarecrows. Kill them, and exit through the doors. - RESIDENTIAL AREA Jump down, kill the first Scarecrow and proceed to kill the other two. Smash the Red Orb Crystal if you like but no point. Get the big hidden orbs here if you like but, again, no use. Run down the path quickly and enter the door. OPTION: You can skip this fight, too. - PORT CAERULA Run here (by the time you're past the stairs, Nero should be sprinting). Use the Grim Grip to cover some serious distance. Run upwards towards the blue doors. Enter the building. - CUSTOMS HOUSE Another cutscene to quickly skip and three Scarecrows to butcher. Go to the magic dial. Instant Revving should charge it much faster. Jump, wall-jump and when you land, open the door. - PORT CAERULA Immediately run up, activate the crane and skip the cutscene. Return through the door. - CUSTOMS HOUSE Jump down and run to the blue doors. Leave the customs house. - PORT CAERULA Three more pesky Scarecrows to kill. Dispose of them swiftly and then use the Grim Grip to cover distance, and head towards the Scarecrows. Kill all the Scarecrows here, and run quickly towards the large doors. OPTION: The two fights in Port Caerula can be skipped. - FORTUNA CASTLE GATES Either pick up the big red orb or ignore it. I say ignore it. Run along the snowy path, and sprint on until you reach the bridge. Skip the cutscene and quickly defeat the three Frosts. Run along the bridge that leads to the big castle and enter the ports. - FERRUM HILLS Keep running ahead. Skip the Berial cutscene. Beat Berial. YOU'RE DONE! And of course, you'll get nothing whatsoever from beating Mission: Exterminator within the time limit. But, if you did, you have something to be proud of. I've done it, and you can do it. Just don't let Berial kill you, m'kay? 004: ADVANCED GAMEPLAY __ __ ( ) ( ) )( )( ||_________________________________________________________________________|| _|| | _ | A D V A N C E D G A M E P L A Y | ||_________________________________________________________________________ | || || )( )( ( ) ( ) \/ \/ Coming soon... 005: F.A.Q. __ __ ( ) ( ) )( )( ||_________________________________________________________________________|| _|| | _ | F R E Q U E N T L Y A S K E D Q U E S T I O N S | ||_________________________________________________________________________ | || || )( )( ( ) ( ) \/ \/ Q - What is DEVIL MAY CRY? A - A game series developed and created by CAPCOM. They revolve around Dante, a part-human, part-demon P.I. who is an all-around badass and hunts demons for a living. In this game, however, we're introduced to a new main character. This is the character you control in this demo, and his name is Nero. Q - When does this game come out? A - JAPAN: 31st January. US: 5th February. EUROPE: 8th February. All of them are released in this year, 2008. Except for Japan, they got it last year. Q - WHAT?! IT'S BEEN OUT FOR A YEAR?! A - No, I was just joking. Q - Who is this Nero guy, then? A - The new 'hero' starring in DEVIL MAY CRY 4. Q - Why does he have white hair? Is he related to Dante? A - I'm not going to spoil anything, so all I can say is, maybe. Q - Can you play as Dante? A - Yes, at roughly halfway through the game, you'll get to play as Dante. Q - Why can you get red orbs in this demo if you can't use them? A - Because red orbs in DEVIL MAY CRY is what experience points are to any given Japanese RPG. Without them, it would feel very weird. Q - Nero's gun is useless. Am I right or what? A - Yes and no. In this demo,it has no actual practical use, but if you think it's useless and you're playing the real game, you don't know how to play it. Naturally, you're not playing the real game yet... Q - Can you get an SSS-rank on your Style score while fighting enemies? A - Yes, it can and have been done. You can even SSS Berial. Q - What happens if you beat Berial on Mission: Exterminator? A - Beat him on Mission: Executioner and find out. Q - What happens if you beat Berial on Mission: Executioner, then? A - You get a "Coming soon" message. Big reward, eh? Q - No. A - ¤@&! 006: CREDITS & CLOSURE __ __ ( ) ( ) )( )( ||_________________________________________________________________________|| _|| | _ | C R E D I T S & C L O S U R E | ||_________________________________________________________________________ | || || )( )( ( ) ( ) \/ \/ I'd like to thank the following: - Mikael "Mike" Nilsson (a.k.a. althalus26) for downloading the demo for me. Thank you for letting me borrow your PS3 and O.D. on the demo. Without you, this demo and the experience it brought me wouldn't have been possible. It was fun making that Japanese account and enter random crap, wasn't it? - CAPCOM for developing and creating such a wonderful game series, even though I have never been quite satisfied with any DEVIL MAY CRY instalment beyond the original one. These games mean a lot to me as both a player and an aspiring game designer. - Adrenaline SL, for giving me inspirations by your DMC FAQ design. I remember consulting your FAQ every now and then and try to compare my gaming style to how you did things. If anything, this FAQ is dedicated partly to you. - I'd also like to dedicate this FAQ to my friend Daniel "Terminator" Sandén, because he'll be downloading the XBOX360 version of the game in about a week, and this guide is for him. He's getting the PC version. Good luck with your first DMC game! You can e-mail me about anything regarding the demo or this FAQ. If you have any questions, or you feel I've missed something or you think there's something not in the FAQ that I should add (not including a strategy guide for Berial), don't hesitate to send me a mail.
