I didn't buy any of the LittleBigPlanet DLC; will that stuff be in LittleBigPlanet 2?

It depends. Water came late to LBP and is in LittleBigPlanet 2, but the Metal Gear Solid
Paintinator isn't -- you would need to buy that DLC to have the gun here.
