1st Island Monastary Champion


I was reading the walk throughs and im reading that the champion is invincible until you destroy the 5 glowing red staff's.. My problem is how come I dont see any staff's glowing and circling around him? I can hack at this guy all day long and not kill him or see anything on the level resembling what it's talking about and surprisingly nothing on google to help me.. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Just a note, this is the open area with the big guy and the long sword. I can hack at him
all day long, up and down the stairs etc he doesnt just die! I see when it says the "O"
button and I hit him over and over for almost an hour, just no luck LOL

Am I doing something wrong here?

it's easy hes surrounded by them in other words hes trapt in a box four of them ...

won't die unless you hit them like four or five times...does that solve your problem?
